ROGUE BROTHERS HAS TO BE ONE OF THE MOST UNDERRATED KZbinRS EVER!

Thank you for inspiring me to try a perfect run myself and for just being a really skilled Bad North creator. Since your first video, I stared trying it and yesterday just completed my 2nd (successful) perfect run. One thing I found out is that you often don’t need to over extend yourself when it comes to islands per turn. I recommend getting ahead in the early stages while you can but after that, you really only need to do 2 island a turn. In my experience most campaigns will have roughly the same number of 1-island turns as 3-island turns so they cancel out. So you really only have to do 2 islands a turn and not stress about it. I’ve only come across a 4-island turn once in my time playing. Also, RB, can you consider doing a redo of your tier lists? I generally agree with most of your placements, but I think it would be more interesting if you did them from the view of each class. So you’d have 3 tier lists each talking about how each item/trait ranks for archers, infantry, and pikes

Three island turns become more frequent in the Very Hard setting, but otherwise I agree. I like to get a buffer of about 5-7 turns ahead of the destruction wave and then, when i am near the end, spend the buffer by doing one island per turn with the Philosopher's Stone to maximize the coins. But the three island sets put a bit of a damper on this strategy.

@@JackOfClubsBlog oh I see. I always play Very Hard too and rather than keep a buffer, I tend to use it up towards the end so by the time I get to the final island, I am only 1 or 2 islands ahead of the wave. I agree, philosopher’s stone is a very important tool for Very Hard. I tend to run with the same items and traits RB ran with in the beginning of his run

You make some great points! If I get a chance I might have another look at the tier lists for each unit - that's an interesting idea. I think you're right that you don't need to take too many risks to stay ahead of the turn timer but I have to admit I get quite addicted to squeezing out as many islands as I can in a turn. I know this is very risky and stupid but I find it fun doing it 😂😂

@@roguebrothers I can see how that thrill can become addicting lol. Another tip I learned for early and mid game is to look for islands that are connected to a lot of unknown islands. Unless one is about to be taken by the turn timer, you should look out for those islands that are linked to a lot of others you haven’t unlocked yet because they may provide more opportunities especially for your weaker units. Because I generally do 2 islands per round, I end up with stronger and weaker units. I try to disperse them enough so the stronger squads can help the weaker ones, but I eventually get a clear ‘A team’ and ‘B team’. By unlocking more islands, you can see which ones are harder or easier and then send your A and B teams to their respective islands so that you don’t waste your good units on a weak islands or put your weaker units in danger on a harder one. Especially look for islands that are in the center of many (could be as many as 4). But my endgame, both teams tend to be very strong and you don’t have to worry about it anymore.
