In this test review we push the 2006 Brute Force 650i and demonstrate it's trail capabilities. Don't be fooled, the "i" in 650i means it's equipped with independent rear suspension and none of the 650 BF's are fuel injected. Step up to a 750 Brute Force if fuel injection is important to you. Don't underestimate this carburetor V-Twin power house quad! Check out more info at www.everythingatvutvreviews.com

Just got a '12 brute 650. After having 2 brute 750's, one w/ FI - this 650 just feels quicker on the trails. Not sure what the weight difference is between 100cc's in the engine (compared to the 750) , but the 650 is decidedly snappier and pulls harder throughout the power band. I still love my 750's, dont get me wrong ; but dont underestimate the 650 v-twin. Also I must note, both my 750's are independent rears, but this 650 is solid rear axle ; and I gotta say, what little it gives up in the comfiness factor - it really makes up for as far as feel on the trail. It feels so much more planted. Dont overlook the solid rear axle when shopping for a 650 brute.

They are great quads, excellent video. You demonstrated that rear suspension really well, you can tell it is a firm setup, doesn’t articulate like the Polaris.

I am considering possibly upgrading my 2007 Honda rancher 420 es because it does not ride comfortably on the trail. The ES system is also frustrating me. I know these are very different models but I am going off what is in my budget. I was looking at a brute force 650i/750i, first generation can am outlander 650/800, and a Suzuki king quad 400 foot shift. Yamaha are good too but they seem to all cost over 4K. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I love the Brute Force. Bought a 750 in 2004 when they hit the market. Not hard to find an adrenaline rush but they can be puckering in the off camber stuff.

I hear tell they have the best throttle response out there, What's your opinion?
@everythingatv-utv-reviews3565
@everythingatv-utv-reviews3565 8 жыл бұрын
After they get up to operating temperature they are very quick revving and pull hard until you let off the throttle. Certainly on top of the throttle response list for carbed ATV's and pull harder than any fuel injected big single cylinders I've rode.

Love the Brutes. Had this exact same bike and then had a 2012 750. Only thing I wish worked better was the 4Wd system. On both mine, they began getting twitchy at about 3000 km's. By twitchy I mean, they would have a hard time going into and out of 4Wd. I wish they would find a better way to locate all the wires under the seat. After a ride they are covered in water and mud. Things short out and corode in those conditions after a while.

Thanks for the comment. Couldn't agree more with the slow 4x4 in and out actuation, but awesome power these quads have!

Whats faster the 650 or the 800 Polaris ?
@everythingatv-utv-reviews3565
@everythingatv-utv-reviews3565 8 жыл бұрын
The 650i pulls harder and gets up to speed faster than the Sportsman. At that, the Sportsman comfort level is much better than the BF and this only based on my opinion after riding both.
