@@jacksonfev man you're just being hella cynical at this comment. Being nice and friendly aren't the only strengths in life. Every culture has an equal number of strengths and weaknesses. I think being gracious and humble in certain situations or looking on the bright side of things more often might be a norm in some cultures while being more guarded and competitive is a norm in other cultures. One is great because it is very warm and fuzzy, but can turn reckless or dangerous in some situations. The other is great because it keeps up healthy boundaries, protecting you and yours, but it can make you depressed or hard to get close to in some situations. I am a gringa who married into a Honduran family and the cultures are different but balance each other well. My husband is always reminding me that our life is beautiful, that even our enemies are still people, and that life is to be enjoyed. He has an amazing light that shines from his soul and I view my life with more gratitude than I did before we met. I am always reminding him to not trust people immediately and that life can be enjoyed in moderation so we protect our health and our finances. I have kept us safe and helped him navigate the US's often dystopian economy and legal system. We can acknowledge cultural differences and praise cultural characteristics without implying that other cultures are overall inferior.

@Braddaddyx5 жыл бұрын
it was measured wrong, the hight of the bodybuilder and the powerlifter where an advantage, usually you should just measure the distance you jump. Olympic lifters have one of the best vertical jumps thanks to their exeplosive leg/calve work.

@joshlynch56766 жыл бұрын
I agree 100%, they are great at their respective competition/sport. I just said they aren't good at traditional sports as we know, outside of Luis being pretty decent with eye-foot coordination. The art of throwing a ball efficiently shows great kinetic timing, as well as kicking one. Catching a ball shows that you have hand-eye coordination. They are good at what they do specifically, but a huge part of athleticism has to do with being able to put together a good kinetic chain outside of a power clean. It has a lot to do with being able to do tasks outside of that. Not bashing anyone, I think they are all tremendously great athletes, but they are not athletic in the sense that they are coordinated.

The videographers and the editing really improved by season 2 (womens brute challenge) so good job on taking the criticism and coming out better. Loved both competitions!

Steve pretty much nailed it. The vast majority of the events favoured a smaller frame. But props to him for leaving with a good attitude and not getting all salty about it

Seem like 4 really cool dudes, mad respect to all of them. I could definitely see the olympic spirit in the weightlifter. Did you see the big guy move in the 40? I can't believe NFL scouts are not calling him...37" vert too, lol.

Steve is so fast. Awesome dude. I dont know if i mention before but this group is missing a gymnastics guy!
@xlDon2lx6 жыл бұрын
This is brute wars though... A gymnast is not considered a brute as it lacks doesn't involve power, strength or muscles. They're all about being light, endurance & flexibility.
@kauerpc6 жыл бұрын
Helbert Gascon have you ever seen a male gymnast athlete doing rings? No power, strenght or muscles?
@xlDon2lx6 жыл бұрын
I do... But do you know how they weigh? I'm saying this because I know lots of gymnasts... They don't mess with weights because they focus over body control and stability. They prefer to lose muscle rather than gain some for flexibility and that's the opposite definition of a brute.

Loved this, do it again but with people who weigh the same
@afunkinduck48565 жыл бұрын
yeah, because finding a crossfit athlete that weighs the same as a bodybuilde or powerlifter is doable...
@retrosword47314 жыл бұрын
@@afunkinduck4856 You do realise powerlifting has weight classes. And there are smaller bodybuilders, especially when they're on a cut and dehydrated you'll find some weighing as light as 80kg

This series was a lot of fun! If you should invite these guys out again let them choose the events and follow them around with the cameras some more. They all looked like they had a great time and I would be interested in watching some more of this same content with these same guys!

Great series!!! I would have changed knockout to 5 shots from the free throw and 5 from 3. And up until this episode body builder and crossfit were in the lead. But all of these "athleticism" skill put the power lifter on top. Next series should take people from the major sports (basketball, soccer, baseball, tennis, rugby) and do the same test with a few tweeks. I'm hesitant to say football because positions change roles and expected out put so you could probably do a series with receivers, linemen, linebackers, and QBs.
