This is SO GOOD AGHHHH the way you portray Akechi’s desperate spiral and the contrast between his composed demeanour and his thoughts and the way that Shido HAUNTS HIM and is present in his life and THE ANOTHER’S SON SCENE? Holy FUCK the transition from 1:43 onwards… the chanting “Brutus Brutus Brutus Brutus Brutus” as Akechi walks down the police station corridor to the Interrogation Room… I swear to god I’m not exaggerating, I’ve pictured Akechi striding towards the Interrogation Room to this song more times than I can count, so seeing it ACTUALLY REALISED in gorgeous art literally feels like watching a dream come true. His expression, the timing of the steps… I’m convulsing. And him smiling on the phone at the end… just absolutely chilling. This is SUCH a beautiful & appropriately disturbing tribute to his fucked-up character. This is genuinely incredible & it makes me so fkn happy to see the care put into this animatic & seeing how well u understand a character I love with my entire heart & soul. ALSO the lyric change 1:32 is INSPIRED & the way Akechi’s expression softens from 0:52 onwards is heartbreaking. EDIT: ALSO JOKER GOING NYA AT 1:11??????? LMFAO????????!?

some analysis🤓 and general comments: - ren is SOOO beautiful. my fave catboy... - for the scene of akechi killing ren, i think you really managed to keep a ridiculous but serious tone to it... like the whole thing of the phantom thieves using the metaverse to trick akechi into not really killing ren, and everything becomes more exaggerated and even cartoonish, but he cant notice it past his spiralling and urge to defeat ren - you really captured akechis mental state and how it progresses throughout the game in this animatic beautifully . the visual storytelling is really nice and i love how shido kind of haunts akechi throughout the entirety of the animatic - the song choice is really good and really fits how you told akechis story

I love this animatic! It really shows Akechi's motivations and character off well. The song choice is excellent for him, too! I got the bad ending on my first playthrough so seeing it be referenced here brought back that memory of being like "oh WHOOPS". Well done!!

Shit this inspires me so badly you have no idea man I also animated a short video with akechi and joker but goddqmn its flat compared to what you've made here im genuinely so impressed The different angles especially take my attention i wanna work even harder on improving my art now to make something just as cool as this My favorite part has gotta be the walk scene I think its very interesting how you can re use a cycle but make it even more impactful with a proper purpose in mind (Your videos and art deserves so much more attention)

Before animation/animatics I've done mostly illustration, so how the camera is set up is something I try to pay more attention to.

Honestly looking at your art i cant help but wonder how much a great animator you could become if you keep working away at it Storytelling you already do strongly so, the compositions are really interesting.
