I’m not into Pro Wrestling (well I was as a kid in the 80s) but I’m addicted to watching shoot interviews of Pro Wrestlers from back in the day. These guys lived the life of real life cartoons and the stories are legendary.

When I was kid I met Brutas at a Christmas Eve party in Mass, being born in 02 didn’t really know who he was but my dad knowing how big of a wrestling fan I am urged me to ask for his autograph(he told me a little background info on him) so I asked him and he immediately stopped looked at me and said “sure one second kid” went out to his car and signed a headshot photo for me. Still have it to this day and will always remember the kindness he showed me being a young wrestling fan. Always a supporter of BRUTAS THE BARBER BEEFCAKE!!!!

It is called life. Also, Brutus almost died in the early 90s so he might be taking meds for pain caused to his face. Remember he had a total facial reconstruction.
@toddmorrissey8372 Жыл бұрын
@@phylliskumi4355 you're definitely excusing what is clearly an unhealthy lifestyle that Brutus is living. Based on interviews I've seen with him he is CLEARLY taking some type of Xanax/sedative/opiate(maybe) pills. The guy slurs practically every word out of his mouth. All of those meds can "bloat" you when abused and if you combine that with poor eating, it's a recipe(no pun intended) for looking the way he does. Look at Hogan. I can't stand the guy, but he's had MANY more serious surgeries than Beefcake(25+ on his back/spine alone) and was taking very heavy duty prescription drugs. He still maintains his appearance.

I was always a bigger fan of him when teamed with VAlentine for Dream TEam. They should have been Champions longer. I liked how he wore those things on his arms with the animal print. I thought of him when decided to wear Skeleton Opera Gloves when doing a character hehe. The other part was I saw Female wearing these Skeleton Gloves when doing Alexa Bliss. I remember when he wore that hockey mask. I was always fan of Zeus Tiny Liston from 1st and Ten. Great in Santa Slay the Goldberg Dark Comedy movie. He tells the Hogan breaking leg. That jet sky thing was good story. Ultimate Warrior had great body hehe. I'm glad to hear that did well as matches were linked to movie. Good in Friday. He got Barber Character Over heh :).

@@CujoKelly It's talked about in his book. The gimmick was never given a proper name. It was an experiment to see if he would be able to return to the ring. If it worked, it would be revealed to be Beefcake, and he and Valentine would reform The Dream Team around Wrestlemania 7. However, other wrestlers voiced discomfort with this as they feared re-injuring him, so it was dropped, and they did The Barber Shop instead.

Saw an interview with Honky where he said Brutus was never in the plans to get the belt and the Warrior replacing him was a work. He wasn't upset dropping the title to Warrior cause he could just say that the belt still belongs to him and he wasn't supposed to wrestle the Warrior and all that so he could save his heat. They talk about him as though he were the scum of the earth. And I mean everyone! I thought he was pretty good though he headlined starcade mania with perfect took on Zeus hosted Hbk come out party, money inc at mania. Don’t get those jobs without a great act, and huge drawing power. He was a hairdresser who wrestled. That’s money

That's just today's podcasters like Conrad "Mark for Himself" Thompson who simply repeat the popular opinions of the intent wrestling community and take Meltzer 's word as unimpeachable gossip. Most people who worked alongside Beefer don't have anything bad to say about him, except Ric Flair. Jake Roberts and Ted DiBiase both spoke positively of him on their podcasts. Just a bunch of marks who never took a bump in the ring and drone on about "muh work rate".
