It was July 27th 1996 and a sell-out crowd in excess of 70,000 welcomed Bryan Adams to Wembley Stadium on his “18 ‘Til I Die Tour” in support of the multi-platinum album of the same name. “18 ‘Til I Die” had been released a few weeks earlier and hit the No.1 spot on the UK Albums Chart and gone Top 5 right around Europe. The show opened with the album’s first hit single “The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You” and straight away the stage was set for an energetic, hit packed performance which was received with wild enthusiasm by the huge crowd. This is a legendary show for Bryan Adams fans and is now finally being released on ALL FORMATS for the first time.

A few days ago, something funny happened. I'm 45 and have a 12-year-old son. He was listening to this song in another video, and I told him, "Nice choice, son." He turned to me, surprised, and asked, "This is so good, do you know who Bryan Adams is?" My response, "Are you kidding me?" Here's to the enduring power of amazing music.

I don't think that's a fair assessment. Now I'm all for nostalgia being a 90's kid myself but technology has evolved and our phones allow us to capture moments and videos in time we find significant.I bet you if technology had been around during this time you would see phones recording artist all the time.
@stageb2233
@stageb2233 7 жыл бұрын
That's also a good point, but concert videos specifically are generally horrible as phones can't record the sound properly, and video is all shakey or pointless.

That’s a thought that has hit me like a freight train in my early 30’s. It took having a son to realize just how short all of this is. I’ve start to look at the length of a decade as if it is only a year. Time is our greatest nemesis and it seems as though it is unbeatable

You realize the fans singing was a prerecording. Right? In 2007, Bryan participated in a festival. The audio man played only the first line to an unsuspecting Bryan. The music took a pause. Festival goers started busting out laughing. Even Bryan paused to give perks to the audio man.

A lot of music from the 80s has aged incredibly well, and this song is a standout example of that. When this concert took place, the song was already over a decade old, yet it still sounded flawless. Bryan's aged well, too- just look him up. I'm finding it hard to believe he's gonna be 65 this year.

In June 1992, i was at my first Bryan Adams concert in Denmark. I was 12 years old. I noticed a small round scene in the middle of the audience. So i stod there with my mother. And sure enough Bryan and the band turned up there. I was in the front and he started to invite people on the stage to dance. He pointed at me to come up but i was just a kid and to scared to do it. I will always regret that. His music has now been a part of my life for more than 30 years. I am still and always will be a fan❤.

Keith Scott the longtime loyal guitarist of the Bryan Adams band has always been a big part of the overall Bryan Adams sound and songwriting. One of my all-time influences as a player myself. Always has tasty chops! Just listen to any solo, it's always on-point, melodic and fits the track perfectly. For example the 2 songs 'It's Only Love' and 'Cuts Like a Knife' - BEAUTIFUL PHRASING 🎸

This song was written about my life. I met the most beautiful and amazing woman 40 years ago at the lowest point of my life. I was broken. She introduced me to Jesus. That was a life changer. God has blessed us abundantly as He made her my wife!!!!!! We are now closer and deeper in love than ever. We so enjoy listening to the 70s & 80s music, especially this song, when we go out crusing in the exotic speed machine I recently bought, simply because I like her. She still looks hotter than the car, and I don't mind that kind of problem! On top of that, we have 7 adult children and our 5 grandchildren. I consider myself to be the most blessed man alive!!!!!

There is RAPTURE, the blessed hope, and there is the TRIBULATION, the evil to come: Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Isaiah 57:1 The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come. Remember who you are; - Spirit being, created by GOD in His image and was named ADAM = human. Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 5:2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
