People, DO NOT WAIT to evacuate. LEAVE so that you are not stranded and not risking your lives. It isn't worth it. PLEASE, DON'T LEAVE YOUR PETS BEHIND.

You don't evacuate "too early" b/c if you don't have a good idea where it's going, you don't know where to evacuate to (remember Irma) ..

Unfortunately, easier said than done. I'm in Tampa, we are more inland here, not close to the water. I have pets, I have to work until they send us home, and every person in this area trying to evacuate will be on the road at the same time, and that can also be very dangerous in this situation. We have supplies, and unless they say a Cat 5 is coming, we will stay.

Maybe someone should be talking about the projectiles sitting curbside amongst all the debris placed curbside for removal and possibly the mounds of sand built up around these homes that will not allow the water to flow but instead will hit these giant mounds of sand around these homes causing impact and immediate erosion and eminent wash out of those homes along the water. These homes will cease to exist and/ or be total losses. Think about it. Take everything you have left and leave immediately as there will be nothing left

Are you talking about the PLAINS where the buffalo roam or PLANES that fly in the sky? If you can't get the spelling straight why should anyone believe your conspiracy theory? What you see up in the sky coming from JETS are contrails NOT CHEM TRAILS!! Contrails form at high altitude from the jet exhaust which is CO2 and water vapor. The water vapor condenses out in the form of that white cloud behind the jet. Again those are contrails NOT chemtrails!!

Wow i wondered what happened to Brian. He was the only voice during andrew when we were living in homestead. First huge hurricane in 25 years, and everyone but him went to bed, including me. The husband woke me up to help put up a board on a window in the garage during the eye. Compared to a lot of homes we were lucky. Our very large trees fell around our house instead of on it. Brian was the voice on the radio then, and i really feel for those going through the hurricane destruction now and think8ng about the new storm coming soon as we live in central Florida

Many people in Florida have stayed during storms and been fortunate. If I lived there and had an rv or second home, I would be heading out. Who wants the anguish of possibly not having electricity and other essentials for weeks. Not me.

Not worth the stress sitting through another.

Every. Single. Meteorologist/Storm Chaser I follow has gone RADIO SILENT since yesterday evening. I’ve never seen this happen, ever. There is something going on and it feels awful. No Hurricane Hunters in storm for 24 hours from storm formation yesterday. I have NEVER seen or even heard of that happening especially with a monster coming. To be clear I’m a 7th gen Floridian and serious weather nerd. No conspiracy just a complete abrupt stop and change in patterns been done for decades.
