Quick & very helpful tip. If you use the same preview settings (QuickTime Pro Res 422HQ) & render your timeline in & out. When you go to export you can click “use previews” and your export will be cut down DRASTICALLY. Great video Bryan!

IMPORTANT NOTE: For VBR, the higher the target bitrate, the bigger the file size. Play around with the number to see what's the best ratio between quality/file size. I usually do around 26 for VBR 1 pass for IG uploads.

I normally do CBR at a 55-75 if your exporting in 4K, in 1080 I do about 25-50 depending length of the project, usually turns out good quality for me, but you can never go wrong with ProRes no doubt, just a longer export for me personally, might be my computer tho

HELLO Ryan!! What is the best way to Capture Video from my Sony PWE-EX1R XCAM? Camera IDEE Firwire output to PC via IDEE Firewire? USB out of Camera to USB into PC? I tried using a micro SD into an SD adapter into an SXS adapter! It recorded fine but when I plug the SD Card in into the computer it seems that Sonybput each shot and it's own folder so if I had 100 shots I would have to click on 100 folders to load my video into Premiere the video looks great but I need to learn how Batch Capture all in one take! Any advice would be greatly appreciated?

also fyi make sure that if your shooting in 23.976 that your composition in 23.976 and not 24 for some reason in premiere pro when you export the audio ends up out of sync

Hello TYLER! Recently watched and extremely enjoyed your video tutorial! I just got a Sony XDCAM and discovered that I can put my SXS to SD card adapter directly into my card reader on my computer, transfer the files to my capture drive, the files show up as a folder called BRAV! Inside this fold is another folder called CLR! Isidebthis folder are lots of Sub folders containg the actual video files! I have to open each folder individually, Rename the save to a Capture location! Then when I go into Adobe I go into Media Browser, locate the capture drive and the files pop-up into thumbnails! This is too many extra steps and very time consuming!I What is the most effective way to import XDCAM footage into Adobe Premiere! What are your thoughts?

Here's a problem I have with 2023 Export. When I go to Export it shows up behind all my other windows and freezes my other windows. So I have to move everything to my second monitor before I click on Export and use it. Used to be that Export would show up in front of my other windows and I didn't have to move anything. Thoughts?
