Looking at this, it really feels like you must have tons of money to be healthy. I am not in that situation, but I have discovered that staying outside in nature as much as possible, sleeping a lot, looking at the sun in the sun, managing my workloads, running/exercising daily and in silence and eating clean food are all things I can do for free. And I don't need 120000 dollars fancy equipment

@@giovannitertulli Since when eating clean food is free? Not everybody own their own garden to harvest their veggies and fruits lmao. If you want to eat clean food pesticides free, without any added chemicals, etc. it's really expensive. Even just finding water without fluoride can be expensive.

Right. You can't just "walk it off" always. You just can't. Saw that foolish guy from the fresh n fit podcast on that video "fit vs fat" talk. And he said depression most of the time is "made up" lmao. Like, ok dude lol. That tells me he's never experienced true depression or lived with someone with clinical depression. They aren't just like, I wanna be sad, I like it. Lol.. and it's not as simple as get some sun and take a wake. That helps greatly but it's not a cure all.

@@d_no_allyn_86Fake & Fraud just spews misinformation on everything. He just copied something Andrew Tate said. Real cookiecutter. I used to believe the same thing when I was around 15 that mental illness is just something one could think yourself out of. 1 year later I had constant panic attacks and nearly went psychotic. Then depression set in mostly in the form of anadhonia. Then I 3 years later I started getting manic episodes followed by the most horrible depressions. What Many don’t get is that depression can be very much physical as well and sometimes even without negative thoughts. You just get fatigued to the point it’s hard to get out of bed and feel a horrible pressure inside your body. Exercise is great but once you are in such extreme agony I find it counterproductive. It might lift the mood for a very short time then you crash even harder. Exercise as an overall preventative is very good medicine though and will improve quality of life, not cure though. I hate being looked at Funny for sleeping so much. I just wish people could understand this horrible disease.

@@d_no_allyn_86totally agree with this. Still what are the alternatives? Those “walk it off” do not help in any way in the moment. But as you say walking as example do help. It don’t solve it though. But it help. So in some way now long time after when my health and depression is better I must say that the advices that in the end actually got me in the right directions was not the “yes I understand” or “mmm I am here for you” it was actually those “get your shit together” that helped me the most. Not that I felt that in that moment or that they made me do what they said to me in that moment. But for sure in the end if they had not given me those “simple” “uncompassionate” “annoying” tips I would most likely be worse off today

Robin Williams talked about the weight of depression and I can't remember the exact examples he gave, but it was something like ... When you're severely depressed you could be told that you just won a Nobel prize, your wife just won the lottery, and your son stubbed his toe and your answer would be, my son stubbed his toe!!. No amount of positive can counter the heaviness that some people are dealing with but maybe with some gentle encouragement, understanding, and being there for them they can be gotten through to a better place in whatever time it takes them to get there. I also love that he stated a couple of times that it's hard to be human. How simple and profound a statement that is. Cheers.

You transformed my life from miserable work junkie to a much healthier version of myself. I'm still a work junkie but now my brain knows there's a body too! I'm now taking sleep seriously - keeping a close eye on my 100% whoop sleep score through the week. The super veggie is much more enjoyable than I imagined. I strive to implement as many of your findings into my daily routines. It's really hard and i'm still struggling - especially for others to understand why I go to bed that early to enjoy the morning hours. And the rolling eyes when saying no to alcohol and leaving from the party early to get consistent sleep. They should seriously know how it's possible to feel like. I for sure didn't. I truly feel like you gave me a new much better life. I'm not anywhere near implementing all of your routines but i'm trying to be better. Thank you Bryan!

@@DavidPereiraLima123 Thanks! I am not only much more efficient at work I also enjoy it much more. Consistent good sleep and workouts every day really did a huge difference for me. Energy levels, happiness, work efficiency and daily structure are completely different from when I started. I'm going to have a hard time not eating my favourite dishes, but I have decided to try at least a month on the protocol :). I tried out the super veggie a few times and I like it. Did you also try out some of the protocol? or maybe you have always been healthy?
@DavidPereiraLima123
@DavidPereiraLima123 6 ай бұрын
@@stolif No, not the protocol, I just went nuclear on fighting diabetes, won against it and much of the same principles Bryan does apply to it. Simply cutting off high glycemic food and focusing on healthy alternatives only made wonders for me. I eat almost every day unfrosted and warm miscellaneous berries and olive oil on top as part of the low glycemic diet. It isn't some fad like paleo, keto, vegan, etc, similar to mediterranean, actually, minus processed white carbs. Olive oil is THE anti-aging food, the resveratrol from berries get better absorbed in fat, I've got this recommendation from Dr. Sinclair on my journey to end diabetes type II, another anti-aging scientist. I've rejuvenated like 10 years (at least how I perceive myself) , and I'm in my 30's. It was very spartan and hard, but today candy and similar terrible food sickens me. Bryan doubles down on the olive oil too. I'm glad I've found Bryan, he talks about the importance of a healthy culture as alternative to the mainstream, I was beginning to feel as an alien, even tremendously healthier than years ago, he gave me lasting determination to my newfound discipline. The doctors I check my health periodically said I aced my blood tests, this was so fulfilling after all the effort. All I miss is an exercise routine, really, but I'm going to get there!

I brought this up in an interview with Dana recently. I told him you thought his quote is too long, but that quote is from Bruce Lee and it talks about never setting limits. Because you might as well be dead. Seriously, if you always put limits on what you can do, physical or anything else, it’ll spread over into the rest of your life. It’ll spread into your work, into your morality, into your entire being. There are no limits. There are plateaus, but you must not stay there, you must go beyond them. If it kills you, it kills you. A man must constantly exceed his level. -Bruce Lee GPT says “"Never limit yourself; constantly exceed your level." But it doesn’t hit nearly as well. 😂 love your content

Bryan, you packed so much into this short video, really super. There’s humor to draw us in, then science, even grammar (love it), always working in ways of expressing respect for both yourself and others. In the middle I was astonished (it is sad when we humans are still stuck feeling we CANNOT what you did there, yet so many people can relate and will feel understood). This sort of content both humanizes you *and* helps get your own practices out there (“the why, when, how, etc,” with constant measurement and re-evaluation needed). You said “money helps” so deadpan; thanks for keeping that real, while including basic things anyone CAN do if not “paralyzed,” which remarkably talented people often become. Can happen to anybody. Thanks for this sort of content.

Hi Bryan, I just finished watching your follow-up interview with Steven Bartlett that was apparently recorded six months ago. Somehow it slipped through my radar until now. I discovered you on his channel, and I watched your original interview with him twice. I had my Mom watch that one too! Since then I've been following your newsletter and website (much improved!) along with various other interviews and now your YT channel. And I've just learned you read most of the comments, so hoping you'll read this one. I'm wondering if anyone has asked you about running for a political office? Or whether you think our political system will exist such as it is for very much longer. In any case, I think you're great. You have my vote for the future. (And I mean that in many ways!)
