I don't know what's more impressive. 1. Bryce's ability to cry on command 2. Conan's impromptu Home Depot novel

I’ll go with the 2. point. Bryce literally doesn’t blink, but what Conan does is another level

to be 100% honest, I actually think 2. would be more difficult. I heard you can basically learn to cry on command, but I don't think you can easily learn how to create stories on the spot.

oh, have you seen Conans video where one of his staff, Jordan Schlansky goes on an entire speech about star wars which he entirely adlibbed (but probably was something he needed to get off his chest) it's simply magnificent

Just watched another video about this and am now searching for videos of actors crying on cue--you literally just keep your eyes open and don't blink and your eyes will produce tears to moisturize your eyes. Then you can change your voice/facial expression to fit whatever you need. I tried it and you can cry in under a minute doing this

It's pretty simple, just a microexpression, like your face going slowly up Your mouth, the part around your nose, your eyebrows are going closer slowly, and going up at the same time (but not too much, just feel a microexpression) And when i do this (i discover it someday), your lips begins to shake alone, tears are coming up (you feel it) and it's going

I used to be able to do this just when talking to friends or family, no matter the subject, I would feel like I was on a deep empathic level and could easily coerce tears of joy, sadness, or slight fear and just FEEL the relation. Albeit, I can't do it today, I think I might have lost a part of my soul somewhere along the last few years. Although my sister has said it had something to do with ascension and that becoming empathic is simply churning a more relatable side of yourself out into the open and can wield an ability to bring certain things to fruition.

+Blakk Lining hahaha it was the slow and steady build up to it, that she did so perfectly! the camera close up just makes you follow her emotions. brilliant! I wonder what it was that she did on her part .... whether it was a physical trigger or a mental one

+abdulsadiq Well, there is many things that an actor can do. I noticed that she didn't blink even once until she had tears. That helps, but only to a point. Besides, that monologue by Conan was just so ridiculous that I would probably lose focus.

Also afraid she kind of gave the show away; was watching Jurassic World the other day, and any time she started tearing up, all I could think was, "Oh, she's doing her lil crying trick again." Like now I just can't really empathize with any character she plays knowing it's all smoke and mirros.
@nicholassmith4891
@nicholassmith4891 5 жыл бұрын
kadejito you mean... acting?
@kadejito1
@kadejito1 5 жыл бұрын
@@nicholassmith4891 I mean that when you see an actor cry on screen, there's a certain ambiguity to how they reach that level of emotion. Some actors listen to sad music, or recall sad memories, and some get so into their characters that they actually feel what the character is supposed to feel. To realize that Bryce Dallas Howard can just turn on the tears as easy as I turn on a faucet takes all the mystique out of it, like when you watch a behind-the-scenes documentary that demonstrates how wrestling is fake and scripted. After that, it doesn't quite have the same impact as when you thought it was real emotion. So when I see her cry now, all I'm thinking is, "Oh, she's yawning internally to force her eyes to produce tears." There's no feeling or emotion behind her expression, it's just like turning on a faucet. Sure, it makes her a director's dream that she can cry on command, but you shouldn't give the show away like that; her whole career is based on people suspending their disbelief to accept her performance on screen.
