Nice to see Tony Martin mentioned. Powerful, clear voice. Pete - you made a great point that if Tony was in a different band, he might have gotten more acclaim. If you remember, he was supposed to have been the singer in Blue Murder and actually wrote "Valley of the Kings". Too bad it didn't happen...it might have elevated that album beyond its underrated status.

@FatalPies A lot of my choices are somewhat based on what bands I like and how frequently I've listened to those bands. Crimson Glory is far from being one of my favorites. I suppose that if it's a contest for you then you can always watch American Idol. There are plenty of great, cheesy singers who sing in cheesy bands with cheesy songs. THE coolest. 5. Dokken - Yup. Under Lock and Key. Although it was Up From The Ashes that got me into Dokken. 6. Paul Di'anno - I heard Paul Maiden before Bruce Maiden and, it's just how it is. Bruce is great, just not for me. 7. UDO - Such a weird aggression with UDO and Accept. Son of a Bitch! 8. Joey Tempest - After The Final Countdown I can do without. But early Europe is so great! 9. Tarja Turunen - Jaw dropped when I heard Oceanborn. I'm not the biggest power metal fan, but I love her voice. 10. Mike Patton - Sure, Faith No More is fringe. But his voice is so unique. I have at least 98% concurrence with Pete about everything, so this was an easy one for me. Also, Bryce is quite knowledgeable of the classic metal era, particularly at such a young age. Keep up the great work.

Suzuka Nakamoto of Babymetal will be on this list someday. Their first album was recorded when she was 13 or 14, she's only 23 now. A woman's voice isn't even fully mature until the late 20s. I mean, if you consider her Metal. She is a pop singer in a pop-metal fusion group :) But the girl can sing. She was only 16 here kzbin.info/www/bejne/nWOWaGV5arV9gq8
