Hi, Dinalyn! Congratulations on starting your journey of becoming a doctor. It’s four long years of premed before you make your yet another first step in med school. So while you’re taking this course, I hope you continue doing it with love and passion. Always keep in mind that these few years of studying and sleepless nights will be of help in saving your patients someday. Remember lang, patience could save your patients someday. I'm a rad tech student. I also barely know what radiologic technologists do, I only know about x-ray, or how hazardous radiation is. If I were to ask, I would choose this again.

@Hope Sy Radiologic Technologist are the eye of medicine. What Radtech do??? Diagnostic procedures in X-ray, CT-Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammogram, 2d Echo, Vascular Ultrasound Treatment procedure in Nuclear Medicine, and Radiation Therapy

Hi, ell! I’m not very familiar with the schools from luzon and visayas. I do know cebu doc offers the course. Here in Davao, schools like San Pedro College and Davao Doctors College offers the program. I really can’t answer your question because I’m not sure where you are from. 😅 I think it would be better if you check first the medical affiliated schools near you or check their websites to see if they’re offering rad tech program. 😊 Have a nice day!

Hi po! sana masagot itong tanong ko. i was thinking po na kumuha ng associates degree instead of bachelor's degree in radiologic technology pero ang sabi ang hinahanap daw talaga ng mga hospitals eh yung graduate ng bachelor's. mas wais pa rin po ba mag take ng bachelor's instead of associates degree or wala sila gaanong difference?

Hi, Cristine! Sorry for the very late reply. I wasn’t sure if I’m in the position to answer so I was waiting for somebody who’s in the field mismo to answer your question. Unfortunately, wala talaga. 😅 But in my opinion, I think it’s safer if you’ll choose the bachelor’s degree kasi it’s a good back up plan in case you want to go abroad soon. One year could be a short or long time for you kasi I don’t know your goal. But if I were you, i’ll choose the safer side kasi I think the bachelor’s degree has more options after you graduate. Also, put in consideration whether you’ll enjoy the field or not. Four years is a very long time lalo na kapag di mo gusto. But if you enjoy what you’re doing, ‘di mo mamamalayan bukas graduate ka na. :)

Okay po ba na career ang pagiging radtech? Di ko kasi masyadong naririnig to eh. All my shs life nag search ako tungkol sa medtech kasi yun yung plano ko tlga. Wala akong balak mag med school tho..these past few weeks, i discovered radtech and mas interesado ako dito somehow..okay ba sya na career dito sa pinas? Baka gagraduate ako ng radtech tapos wala palang trabaho dito...sabi, in demand daw, pero ewan

Hi, shae! I’m a med tech so I can’t really say ano ang current demand ng rad techs sa pinas right now. And I don’t know if in demand sila currently abroad. My advise for you is to get the course where you are most interested in, where you’ll see yourself few years from now and try to consider din if you could see yourself working in that field for 10 years or more. Kasi opportunity is always there, you can go abroad as soon as you have the experience required. As long as you are happy with your chosen profession, you’ll be able to stick with it for 2 or 3 years working here in Ph. After that, you can get out of the country. :) Good luck!

Hi ate! I am still in highschool po and balak ko pong kunin is BS radtech. But, medyo hindi po 'ko sigurado since medyo alanganin po ko sa math. Kailangan po bang math genius or good in math to become a radtech or to pass a radtech exam po?😄

Hi, Bernadette! In my other rad tech vid, my guest mentioned na they do have lots of physics so I guess you’ll encounter lots of numbers if papasok ka ng rad tech. But marami din nag sasabi sa mga kilala kong rad tech na keri naman daw nila. So I’m sure kakayanin mo din yan! Tiwala lang sa sarili 🤗

I didn’t realize that until I reached my second year so take time talaga to decide kasi it’s gonna be a life-long commitment of hard work, sleepless nights and studying. Hi, Don Loco! I messaged doc Carl to make sure we answer your question right. Here’s his reply: “if you think of it ang radiation ay nakaka baog talaga if you are exposed with a significantly large dose but with the advancement of xrays machine it would not really affect your reproductive system. Also when you are a radtech we have radiation protection to minimize your expose with radiation.” Hope that answered your question! I will feature your question on our next BS Rad tech video. Hi! I do not know if I have the right to answer your question kasi I did not take up rad tech as a pre-med. But during my time kasi, a lot of my batch mates who planned to enter med school opted to enroll under nursing and med tech programs. May iba din nag PT, bio, etc. Iyon kasi yung well-known na mga premed. I think one of the reasons bakit underrated siya is because hindi siya masyadong kilala na course. And yes po, based po sa dalawang rad techs na na interview natin, marami din rad techs na lumalabas ng bansa kasi mas malaki ang compensation doon. Here sa PH, i’m not sure if in-demand currently ang mga rad techs 😅 but I guess yes kasi hindi ganoon karami kumukuha ng undergrad course na to compared sa other pre-meds. 🤗 I hope I answered your question! *Any rad tech that read this, I hope you can back me up and correct me if I misinformed.
