I remember back in the day hearing that Matt was "retiring", then saw the Plan B video with the intro and it bummed me out. He's at the top and quitting?? I didn't understand. I was like, he's got it all...lives in San Diego, pro skater, selling tons of boards, in every magazine, etc..I thought he had it made. Why would he leave SD for Chicago to be cold?? lol. Years later I understand of course. Great episode TG! Keep 'em coming! :)

This Series is great, no BS. Growing up in your era and being a skater in Brisbane Australia we only had magazines to look at and they were really expensive because they were imported. But we all looked up to you guys so much. So now, seeing and hearing all you old school skaters talk about "your way back whens" and knowing that it wasn't an easy or even a wise path to take and you did it anyway makes me feel more ok about where I am now in life. Keep it up Tommy. You are appreciated and a great inspiration. Which is not always easy to find these days. Thanks.

very moving interview thanks Tommy Guerrero i always wanted your skate deck in the 80's my 80's skater friend terry snell always had a tommy guerrero skateboard i had mostly hand me down skateboards IN the early 80's i had a danny webster my neighbor gave me because i could ollie and he coulden't it upset me because i had no one to skateboard with anymore but ray always let me borrow his grasshopper radio controlled car it was rad it wosen't untill the late 80's that i had my own skateboards you rock tommy G

This interview is fantastic. Could relate to so much of what you guys described as a father, old guy skateboarder, musician. Could even relate to the part about an idol green lighting you -- one day was skating with Monty Nolder and he paid me a compliment I'll remember forever. Thanks for doing this TG.

I HATED the shift skating took with Hensley's exit. Pat Duffy handrails and skating has been focused on gnarly gaps/rails since....I was also annoyed because World iNdustries seemed very ghetto with H-street being well not..

i was also partying,way to much-but i lived far away from L.A.,sl there was no big happy Family feeling,to pull me into-so i've been doing drugs ever since that time...A lot of Things to kill the pain from my injueries,psychedelics,etc,etc...So its kind of weird to hear a story of someone that got their life together,when my own life is shredded-Thrashed...
