Pivotal point in my life when my band Ollin, opened up for Flogging Molly at the Palladium a sold out show for St Patrick Day. During sound check I met Matt and we talked about my banjo and I was in awe because only I knew who he was. He later came backstage at the end of the show and partied in our room, and I'm still stoked starstruck, for the legend that I had looked up to was giving me props. Kind of how Matt felt with Joe Strummer. Cyclical life. Thanks Matt,

The difference between an accordion and a trampoline is that you take your shoes off when you jump on a trampoline.

Dude Tommy! That freeze frame photo of Matt at 4:21 is at Fairman’s in West Chester, Pa. Not only was I there but I am in this photo! So random and so cool. I am behind and to the left of the guy in red shirt (bottom right frame) wearing a baby blue OJ’s II T-shirt taking a photo. That day I will never forget!

Last board I got before the world of jobs and my first girlfriend in 10th grade in 92 was the h street Hensley the graphic was him sitting in front of a church window. It had what I would consider the first popsicle type shape. Is matt a proud boy. I'm down with that nothing wrong with it either. There are some out there that try to make proud boys out to be some hate group. Nothing could be further from the truth. As for Tommy G I always thought his deck was the most badass had a white one back in the 80s wish I still had it. Still got my old caballero with red bats though. Trying to find a Hensley like I had and a Tommy G and a lance mountain future primitive. Thanks Tommy for these videos. If your ever in spartanburg sc let's jam got all the band equipment got skateboards too but I just flat out suck nowadays.

The Rover That was definitely not the first popsicle stick shaped board.

The legend Hensley repping the classic FP polo before the pindick racists tried to claim it. Style always on point, just like his skating. I remember rocking the King Size Eagle, Street Shadows, cargo shorts and wallet chain aged 16. 46 now, seems like yesterday. Great times.
