G'day Paul, that's one hell of a riding adventure and you were lucky finding the blanking plug, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.

You lucky so and so getting to ride that BSA V-Twin. 😁 Thank you for making these video. You are making history. Not many of these bikes out riding much less getting video'd. I'm thinking you are the Rick Beato of the British Motorcycle industry's past. Loving the sound of this bike.

To think that I’ve been cooped up all day working at a computer attending online meetings and the rest … while you have been slogging it out on the Black mountain in the sunshine. You lucky man.

You were a brave man (or very foolish 🤔) taking that machine up there 😂 but well done you !

Entering fully into the spirit of the era. No turning back. It goes nicely enough considering you are taking it reasonably steadily.

All those spoil heaps, lead mining?
@highdownmartinКүн бұрын
That’s a non industrialised landscape. Sheep basically. And any extracting would be coal not lead. Derbyshire has lead.the coal mining was down in the valleys some way to the south

@highdownmartin morning mate, we'll have to agree to disagree on this one, I'll do a bit of digging on the internet and see if I can find out some information. They're cracking vids, seeing these dinosaurs in the wild is proper good. All the best from County Durham.

@highdownmartin me again, just had a peep on the net, limestone quarrying, lime kilns etc. no wonder it looks like the North Pennines, a lot of our 'lime' went to Scotland to lower the pH on their acidic land.I think it was the 3rd vid, ride up the Black Mountain, near the top, with industrial remains. You owe me a pint! 😊

@@billykershaw2781yeah I do! There’s a lead mining museum in the Brecon Beacons, the Romans were busy doing it, so some of those hummocks could be 2000 year old waste tips. Obviously there’s coal below but that’s why the mines were in the valleys, No sense starting your mines further from the sea and a thousand feet higher than you need to.
