BSA A70L Lightning - Engine Part 33 - Clutch Operation and Primary Case Completion

Now we begin installing some controls - firstly the clutch to enable us to complete the primary side and fit the cover. Will it all go smoothly for once? You see!

thanks Angus, always a bit of mucking around with those three adjustment points, pressure plate, outer cover and handlebar. Triumph actuation the same, probably lots of same parts, maybe the cable lengths are different, but doesn't look like it.

Thanks for the comment and interest Didier. The chain should be tensioned so that there is no less than 1/8" (3.175mm) and no more than 1/4" (6.35mm) up and down movement in the middle of the top run.

Wassall Featherlite (ooh err) are a great cable. Night and day compared to some cheap rubbish on my Trident

I see a broken gasket at the top of the case, will it cause problems?
