Belated best wishes for your birthday Megs. It is good to see you out and about together again and I guess the smiles say it all you are definitely enjoying it. We haven't had a lot of great weather this winter so as Ben says it is extra special when it does comes and you certainly picked it right this time out. I totally agree with you Ben about that point when you can just be there in those surroundings and experience the pure utter stillness and silence, it is just a very precious moment to be treasured for ever. ATB guys, look forward to the next one.

Thank you Stuart! It’s been lovely getting back out again and slowing the pace down a bit too. Taking time to appreciate and enjoy these incredible spaces, especially when we get treated to a weather window like this. They’re the moments we’ll always carry with us. Glad you enjoyed it and appreciate you watching 🙏🏼☺️

Mmmmmm, what a beautiful part of our universe western Scotland is! From the shoreline on the coast and lochsides up to the peaks above,magic. Thanks for putting in the effort and sharing. 👍😃

Couldn’t agree more, love exploring new places but we’re always drawn back into the west coast, it has its own gravitational pull! Glad you enjoyed, appreciate you watching! 🙏🏼☺️

That looked a cracker. To be fair you were due a winter one like that after some of your solo ones in crap weather. That's the only winter conditions I'd go out in. Can't be doing with high wind and rain. Happy birthday to your good Lady

Thanks Stevie, glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏼Was a very memorable birthday and wild camp! The suffering through the wind and rain definitely makes these ones all the more special, although I wouldn’t mind if the balanced skewed slightly more in favour of camps like this 😂

What a fantastic birthday adventure! Not sure those ice axe pegs qualify as ultralight though…

Was blown away by our luck with the weather & conditions for this trip! Not sure what I’ll have to do next year to top this one. Haha, either the definition of ultralight or the heaviest peg you’ve ever used, especially if you take one for each peg point 😂 appreciate you watching as always 🙏🏼

Nice video and beautiful landscape! I would like to know what is the brand of the crampons Megs uses.

Thanks for watching Stavros! They’re the Kahtoola KTS crampons, they’re a great option for non-technical mountaineering ☺️

Hi, i have Xlite here Finland too, what you think how cold it can handle? Cheers.
@OutdoorIntrigue2 жыл бұрын
Hey Timo, it will depend on your sleeping bag or quilt and you as a person to some degree. Generally I’m comfortable sleeping on snow down to about -7 with it, but even then you might feel some slight cold depending on the above factors. Above that it’s definitely fine in my experience.

@@OutdoorIntrigue Yeah i have same Feeling about it. I can handle Whit Western mountaneering Versalite about same - c degrees . I need Xtherm colder climates.
@OutdoorIntrigue2 жыл бұрын
@@timowillman2285 Yup the xtherm is much warmer I have had one for over 10 years I think, used it down to Betty cold temps no issues. Lately I use a Nemo Tensor Alpine as i find it a lot more comfortable than the Thermarest’s and it’s very warm.
