BSG Deadlock | Fall of the Twelve Colonies: CYLONS ATTACK STRAGGLER FLEET

Within a few hours of the first wave of the Cylon Attack, the vast majority of Colonial Fleet had been destroyed. With over 95% of the fleet shut down through the CNP, only a few straggler vessels fight back in the hours following the devastating Cylon First Strike.
Hiding in large fields of wreckage and debris over Picon, a Cylon fleet jumps in and intercepts three battlestars who escaped the opening wave. The outmatched colonials attempt to hold their own against this massive Cylon fleet twice their size.
I made this video recently since I noticed y'all really seem to enjoy my BSG Deadlock videos. Expect more content like this to come in the future as well. I will also continue to make content with some of the other games I play, including Empyrion, Space Engineers, and Halo.

I love how the game is balanced on both factions' quirks. Battlestars can hard counter Basestars with their flaks and guns but Cylons can hack the flak and render their defenses useless

I always thought the Valkyrie class got a bad wrap in BSG: Razor, like, they're bristling with guns and it only would have taken disconnecting the networks to save them. I just knew they were absolute units and this proves it.

Toasters hacked the armory subsystem and took the flak guns offline. Without the flak, it was a sitting duck against those base stars.

I would agree. I still love playing it as it has a very satisfying feel to it, but I think RTS would work much better. Either that or a Battlestations Midway/Pacific style of gameplay.

Trust me, you don't want to play this game in real time, there's just too much micro going on and I say this as a StarCraft 1 player. Collisions, mine deployments (range, direction, elevation), flak deployments, turret positioning, ship elevation and turning, and you are controlling 8 ships at a time

So where does the game say Colonial Fleet got all the vipers that aren't susceptible to being made dead in the water by shining a red light at them? In the show, Galactica was ready to be put on a museum display for being so old and out of date. Are the Battlestars shown here of the same Jupiter class as Galactica herself? Or are they the Columbia type that have like half the crew size?

In the miniseries Gaeta identitified that the CNP caused the vipers to go dark, and reverted all the mark 7 vipers. This also happened on Pegasus at some point. The battlestars shown here are the Jupiter, Valkyrie, and mercury class.

The game itself never says anything about the CNP since its campaign (and subsequent DLCs) takes place during the First Cylon War (with any footage of the "modern" Battlestars taking place in Skirmish mode), ending with Operation Raptor Talon and the Cylons signing the Armistice forty years prior to the events of the show. During the campaign, the Galactica is a relatively new Battlestar, it being the first operational of the twelve Jupiters and the first to receive the Mk II refit which gave it a more show accurate appearance (the Mk I Jupiters were more of a mix betwen TOS BSG and RDM BSG).

@@Mobius_118 All this is true. However, this is a skirmish mode using the modern ships DLC. This is really me just screwing around with ship classes present up to and during the Fall of the Colonies.

If it's already been asked then please excuse this, but I would love to know where the music comes from. If it's from the RV show then I don't recall it. That aside, I really liked this... keep up the good work!

It's actually from the game itself. During any engagement the game will play one of a variety of very awesome tracks and if there's one you don't like, you can actually change it in the pause menu.
