Gday was a very helpful post as i have the 2015 Ranger px1 but what really annoyed me as I had my tranny service in nov 21 the company who serviced it should of done the bypass then while being serviced but didn’t but kindly informed me it would be a good idea to have it done 🤬🤬 but anyway thanks for a great post 👌👌

Cant you just flip the thermo valve? There is a video that shows that it does the same thing as an aftermarket valve. Of course the aftermarket valve will look nicer but can you verify flipping the valve?

Can't you just flip the factory thermal valve upside down?

That's what I saw on another video here on KZbin. Flipping the original valve does the same thing as one of these overpriced after market valves.

Did you ever have some problem doing that on youre ranger cause we dont have any any bypass valve here in our country as im planning to just flip the thermal valve aswell

hi, definitely a bypass trans cooler is always recommended. a heat exchanger is not a cooler, they are designed to warm trans up quicker in sub zero temperatures to help avoid scrubbing out frozen seals. cheers
