Ahh beat me to it, absolutely brilliant video. Did a GT3 pov wet lap yesterday, but strategically wasn’t going to post it till after the 24 hours. Spot on with the descriptions and wet lines, great video, the only corner we exaggerate even more is Adenauer forst, we go even further around the outside of the first right hand corner after the kerb at fuchsröhre.

When an outright N24 winner agrees with your lines, you feel fuzzy inside ;) Yes, I did think to myself, I should have done the wide-AF-AF line, but thanks for pointing it out! Also GOOD LUCK for the weekend! I saw the AMGs out playing when I did my 2-wheel lap yesterday.... looked fast, but I could hear some early upshifting.... keeping the powder dry for the big race?

Oh wow! We were on the track at the same time! I ended up leading a small convoy of N24Q competitors at one point as they figured out I was doing something different to the rest of the pack ;) You could have joined in!

I'm probably one of the few people who would love to drive the ring in conditions like this next time round, if UK track days are anything to go by it's great fun and it gives the RH indicator a rest for us peasants with less than 150hp. 😅 Loved the video, cheers!

Such a great video! Drove my first wet lap last Sunday and interestingly I already managed to adapt some of your advice as shown in your video just by intuition. Still have a lot to learn though and drove very slowly... something between 11-12 min BTG.

Great video, I currently drive a 22' swift sport right hand drive model here in the UK and have had lots of fun experiencing the dynamics of the car on some back country roads in the wet this Winter. I found it really interesting how you evaluated each corners lines and positioning, backed up with evidence from other experienced drivers, racing in the wet. You can tell you know what you're talking about, great video, kept my attention from start to finish!

Phantastic Video Dale, a lot of good info there. I went out the same evening with my car after work and found perfect conditions on the track. Wet, but not too much standing water and nearly no traffic. Had a litlle Schreck at Hohenrain, but seeing that even the mighty Swift went into plowing mode it seems that is a normal thing. I tryed the curb at Eiskurve on the exit, it was a bad idea. ;D I still have a gopro mount with the 3M sticky tape upstairs if you want. Or where you just showing your "god arm" skills at the end? See you in a bit...

I really do understand why "you locals" with a "JK" constantly recommend doing wet laps on the Nordschleife! It´s obviousley fun and a special challenge! I personally prefer driving the dry line on a dry track as little laps i´m doing in a season. But i have to admit - the full wet lap with YOU in the Jaguar F-Type several years ago was a blast. Good old times! Thanks for reminding me how cool that was!

Part-time at rent4ring, part-time on my own BTG stuff. Unfortunately the COVID restrictions killed off the taxi, and the 3-year renewal of the VERY expensive license came right in the middle of the crisis, when Jag weren't willing to gamble with what happened next.

How do these swifts setup as they are compare to the civic fk2 type r you drive recently? In the u.k I reckon it would cost about the same to modify the swift as buying a mostly standard civic.

Hi Dale, Good instruction. Love your enthousiasm. If you want to improve you could look at your camera handling. Sometimes it makes me dizzy, and that is not only when it comes loose. Other nice thing about the wet TF: no machos around. Everybody who does this knows how slow he is.
