Why tf would Diego fight Evloev on 2 weeks notice? Jed's dumb ass takes are ridiculous. Diego just made weight 3 times for 1 fight and then fought at the Sphere a couple months later. Diego should wait and get a full camp for his title shot.

Casey, for you to openly admit that you ranked Yan higher than O’Malley after O’Malley got the win is respectfully absurd. I’m surprised that Jed let you off easy after you said that. I get that most people felt that yan got the win, but the fact is he didn’t get the win and the rankings should clearly reflect that. You said that “you don’t rank on wins and loses’’, really? Watch Jed scratch his forehead in frustration as you said that. Casey, you’re a fighter man. How would you feel if you beat a guy that lost (including against you) his last 3 out of 4 fights, and you were basically undefeated, (only loss due to injury) and he was still ahead of you in the rankings? Question, did you also rank Volk ahead of Islam on the p4p after Islam beat him the 1st time? My guess is you probably did. Very disappointing. Why would one respect the MMA Fighting Rankings with people voting in this manner? All the fighter cares about is the money and not the rankings? Of course a fighter cares about the rankings Casey! Especially a fighter that isn’t in the UFC. Of course they want to be ranked higher than a UFC fighter. How much money do you make for your fights? I assume you would greatly care about your ranking besides just the money also! Please reconsider your criteria for voting. My apologies for my long rant, I listen to every episode and am a fan of MMA fighting. Didn’t mean any disrespect just strongly disagree with that take.

I ranked Volk over Islam in the P4P after the first fight but not in the 155 rankings. Volk was 2… after the second fight, I ranked Islam 1 in P4P … ranking are not just about wins and losses…. Look, if it’s a tournament, win and losses are all that matter but rankings ain’t that. My Rankings are based on who I Feel is the better fighter, not what the judges think.

@@e.casey.leydon yes, I don’t understand how people ranked volk over Islam on the p4p list after the 1st fight. The argument people said was, ‘’Volk was the smaller guy that moved up’’. That argument just doesn’t hold enough weight in my opinion. Islam the #3 p4p put his title on the line vs the #1 p4p fighter which (Volk) was just one division below him. Difference of 10lbs. Volk’s title was not on the line but his p4p Ranking was. Volk weighed 155lbs and was 4 inches shorter than Islam. Volk gives up a height difference in literally all of his fights at 145lbs. He wasn’t fat or out of shape and didn’t take the fight on short notice like in the 2nd fight. You can argue that Volk might of beat any other fighter at 155lbs that night because he fought great but it was not enough to beat Islam. If he jumped up 2 or 3 division’s then maybe you can make that argument. Not to mention Volk walks around at possibly 175lbs - 185lbs or more. Volk proved that he can hang at 155lbs against the champion. But when he loses all of a sudden he’s the smaller guy? He’s always the smaller guy. Respectfully, how does it make sense that your still ranked higher then a guy you lost to fair and square? The ‘’better fighter’’ doesn’t always win the fight. Fighters have bad nights and sometimes lose to the lesser fighter. That doesn’t mean that they should get to keep their ranking simply because they’re the ‘’better fighter’’. A win is a win and should be treated as so. The rankings should reflect that as well. Again Casey, I don’t mean any disrespect brother. I love MMA and love MMA fighting and have been watching the content for years and years. My only intention is to have a friendly debate from one fan to another. Man, it’s a personal list, I think most people agree with your take that O’Malley should’ve been over Yan after beating him. But I don’t think you’ll change Casey’s mind. It’s like how I think that the Merab vs O’Malley fight was an overall snoozer of a fight but people would say I’m wrong and should go watch boxing if I want punches or damage being done.

If Stipe gets injured 2 weeks out from the fight, Jon Jones will 100% fight Aspinal. I'm shocked at how little faith people have in him being willing to do so. He is not fighting Stipe because he's scared of Aspinal. It is for his resume and the window to get that notch on his belt is shorter than ever before. That's why he is focused on Stipe. Who in their right mind truly believes that Jon Jones is scared of anyone on this planet?

@wifiunove1650 there are more cards and there are more fighters as the sport grows. Of course if there are more cards each one just can't be as loaded as when there are only two cards a month. In general I think the UFC is doing an Amazing job.

Because they don't pay and matchmake the ranked fighters right. They laid off a lot of guys people cared about seeing but that made too much money for poor ufc. They are just milking fans with these poor cards with regional fighters in main cards. And Steve erceg as main attraction for a ppv? I think since 2021 it's downhill

@wifiunove1650 you make fair points but which fighters are you referring to that they cut who the fans love? Do you not think that Steve Ercegg is contender worthy at fly weight? There are regional fighters in the ufc but they are usually signed as late fight replacements. The show must go on....
