Jiri is a top class act, people may make fun of the samurai aspect (which is total bs, he is living the warriors life according to a samurai, he is a LEGIT samurai) but giving up the belt really told you everything you ever needed to know about him. I pray he continues to gift us his presence in the octagon, we do not deserve it. But we need it.

Just to bring in some context , imo the main reason that the crowd was so numb was the whole tv deal change in brazil . Here Globo is just so much bigger than other channels and now that the ufc left globo for the UFC fight pass format Globo simply did not promote the event , so most of brazil mma audience didnt even know the event was happening in Rio . The audience in Rio was mainly rich ufc hardcore fans. PS: comparing those events to UFC paris is just not fair , Brazil is continental country so is not that easy to travel to rio just to watch the ufc.
