BTOB does have a really particular sound but it's not always been that way. They debuted in 2012 but only got their first win after 3 years in 2015, after experimenting with a lot of concepts and finally got their breakthrough in ballads. That's when they shifted their focus and start releasing songs that heavily focus on vocals, their strong suit. However, having members who compose well also affects their music direction and discography, making it BTOB we know and love today. I'm always proud of how far they've come :)

I don't know if you were told before or not but Peniel has/had alopecia and that is why his hair may be shaved. I understand this may have been hard for him in the beginning but doesn't seem to be an issue anymore. Also he is from Chicago. I became a fan of BtoB because of him. I think it is easier for English speakers to get into Kpop through other English speakers. I am a fan of Eric Nam and Peniel has lots of content on Dive studios with other English speaking artist. He is such a super sweetheart. The group as a whole are just nuts. (I know people refer to Kpop groups as crackheads, but BtoB is on another level). I think part of the reason why their sound is varied has to do with who in the group composes the song and different ways they want to challenge themselves. I am not a fan of CUBE, but somehow BtoB seems to be able to do well despite their label. Any content you want to watch, I will support. They are known for their vocals and live stages. I think it is great you are checking out a group that has been around a while.

What I love about BtoB is that they are not your typical kpop boy band they have their own sound they don't do music for the sake of it that's why even their besides are all so so good that maybe even better than the title. I loved your reaction so much and I'll be looking forward more BtoB in the future

I am loving your BTOB reactions! I completely agree that their sound is very different, mature and timeless. Many KPOP groups performances can be chaotic and a bit too heavy on the rap. I love hearing the vocals. If you haven’t seen Love Poem on Kingdom, it has Eunkwang from BTOB, Jongho from Ateez and Seeungmin from Stray Kids. Gorgeous song that shows insane vocals!!

They are a pretty chaotic group themselves but they make such great music. They are probably most known as the "ballad group" just because they do have amazing ballads and Korea loves a good ballad. Missing You at the time was like the 2nd longest charting song on the Melon charts. But their rap line is awesome too and for me are probably one of the best rap lines to flow really well in ballad songs. They have a lot of really good bops and silly songs as the members themselves show off their humorous sides. Ilhoon, Hyunsik and Minhyuk write pretty amazing songs. Pre girl group (G)-Idle, their label Cube wasn't really the best at promoting their groups internationally especially in the west and I would say pre-kingdom usually newer kpop fans weren't as drawn to a group like Btob so I'm happy they did the show so more people can appreciate how amazing they are. I'd recommend checking out Beautiful Pain, Insane (their debut back in 2012) and either Beep Beep or You're So Fly cause they show off their funny sides while being amazing bops.

i love their sound too! as much as my favorite kpop style is the hard-hitting chaotic one, it's nice to hear something refreshing sometimes and BTOB is my number 1 group for that

We call that 'unique sound' BTOB Genre. They've honed their style in the past almost 10 years - tried multiple genres since day 1 from their title tracks to their B-side. Members composing most of their song helped develop that sound too. Their discography is a true roller coaster ride, I swear. They're not only good at ballads. And because of that, they're able to find their own color that's distinct and unique to them. Not to mention, their voices are distinguishable. It wasn't hard for me to recognize each of their voices at all. They have their own personality and that adds to the character of their sound as a group.

I think it depends on the member that composes the song or the concept they want to go with. I think BTOB is a group that stands out in Kpop, they do have a very unique sound. You were on the right track about the concept of the Show your Love MV, they were representing different kinds of love through some movies. Changsub was portraying self love after being in a toxic relationship (the movie was Days of Being Wild). Eunkwang was representing same-sex love and love of arts (movie was Kill your Darlings). Minhyuk was portraying heterosexual love and lost of a loved one (Romeo + Juliet, the one with Di Caprio). Peniel was representing friendship and how to survive bad influences (Trainspotting). Also Hyunsik (member who was in the military) composed and wrote the song thinking about the hard times that came with the pandemic. I hope you can react to more BTOB content and music! Btob actually well-known in Korea as ballad-dol, especially after they released ballad triology around 2015-2016 (It's Okay, Way Back Home, Remember That). And to maintain that image, they keep come with songs that well-balanced in rap and vocal as title track. But if u explore their b-sides, there are actually a lot of songs that "doesn't sounds like them". Also "easy to digest" is definitely the reason i loveeee them bc i think kpop songs these days are too noisy and complicated 😂. For song recommendation: Vocal-wise songs (definitely will give you goosebumps): Someday, When It's Rain, Please/Climax, Way Back Home Songs with unique sounds: Guitar, Blue Moon, Bull's Eye, Blowin' Up Most of the songs above are not title track so u probably want to watch the lyrics translation video instead. Additional info: all songs that i suggest are composed by Btob members 😁. Anyway, thank you for the reaction!

Show Your Love was also movie references but a bit less obvious about it, Changsub was acting Days of Being Wild, Eunkwang was Kill Your Darlings, Minhyuk was Romeo and Juliet which you got and Peniel was Trainspotting, and yep they were representing the different kinds of love.

Cant wait to watch your kingdom reaction. BTOB has their own genre as they write, produce and arrange the music themselves. Their songs fit them perfectly as each part of the song showcases the members' color and tone. That's why it pains me to see them performing without Ilhoon, the empty spot only further echoing his presence even more.

BTOB sounds very unique because their songs are written by the members. Hyunsik, Minhyuk and Ilhoon composes for the group and fyi all the songs you reacted to so far (except Outsider) are all written by Hyunsik (the father of BTOB's music) and Ilhoon. Maybe that's why they sound different from other kpop groups because surely the members know what's the best for the group sounds rather than depending on other producers.

When I first discovered btob , I think that btob is very versatile, the members produce their own songs as a group so their color or sound depends on which member made the song. Each members music style also different, if you want to see for urself you can check each of their solo project(yup every members had their solo album and single) .They are known as a top tier vocalist but their rap line are no joke as well. Basically they can rock any genre if you go through their discography from debut(2012) until now. Love ur reactions and thank you for loving btob☺️

Thank you for your reactions to BTOB! I do agree that BTOB has their own vibe and sound. People usually point that out, they call it the BTOB genre. 😊 I also think their b-sides are many times as good as their titles. I think why their songs are so digestive is cause their instrumental is not overproduced, the arrangement of each members part is very fitting and the transitions are smooth, the flow of the rap parts and the vocals are rather raw. This is also the reason why their lives sounds just like their recordings, if not better (100% live!). You should watch live performances! Super talented group with great synergy indeed! Show your love has a lot of fun choreo and they are goofing around a lot. 😄 Oh! Heads up: easy the goofiest, craziest group off stage (and on at times). Apart from Outsider, the songs you reacted to are all produced by the members. Minhyuk wrote the lyrics to Outsider, Ilhoon produced Movie and Hyunsik produced Missing you, I'll be your man, Show your love and Only one for me. If you like to hear their crispy vocals, outstanding melodic rap and great acting I suggest: Beautiful pain, It's okay and Way back home. (I think you definitely should also check out live performances from the last 2 especially to properly hear the vocals, since their MV are like mini movies and can be distracting 😆). So they have 2 mv that there's just 4 of them (outsider and show your love) that's a sub unit since the other 3 went to military, 1 of them left the group (ilhoon) the other 2 recently discharged so there's no mv including just 6 of them yet (but it will be soon looking forward to it) BTW all the 3 songs here are composed by the members, "movie" composed by ilhoon, "show your love, only one for me, missing you, I'll be your man" all composed by hyunsik that's why their music fits them so well and vocal and rap parts blending perfectly they know each other better than anyone

Everyone in BTOB is very talented, that way only btob still active when half member on military services. They still produce album and making a comeback. ( that’s way you see 4 member). And their music is very unique and genuine. Following with good quality vocal and rap line. Also they produced their own song. Show your love and only one for me produced by Hyungsik and Movie is produced by Ilhoon (jocker ). So yeah all of them so talented. And full of vibe

What is good about BTOB is that they are so colorful in their music. Just when you thought that they are slaying a certain concept then they will get out with another albeit a different one from the last but somehow slay it again. They are serving different courses that you can't help but devour it. Enjoy while it last. Then the cycles just goes on. Once you know them then there is no way out.

The first two songs was produced my “hyunsik” he is a member of btob. He also produced “missing you” and “i’ll be your man” that you reacted to before. He also wrote the lyrics. “Movie” was produced by ilhoon he is a rapper in btob too and he is the one who’s dressed up as the joker. They produced 80% of their songs. “Outsider” in the other hand was not produced by them that’s why it sounds a bit different. But the rappers write their own rap parts in every song. Hope this helps!

Thank you for these reactions..been waiting for Wednesday to come just to watch this.😊 Yes BTOB has a unique and distinct sound and style. They've been here so long that they've done all kinds of genre..from pop to jazz..ballad to funk. And all were good..and they write, compose and produce their songs. But it's really with ballads that they were recognized and won awards and known to be the vocal/ballad kings of kpop. Like what you said, their upbeat songs are just cool and right..not too chaotic or overwhelming,but just the right vibe that anyone can enjoy. That's the same with their ballads..not the sugary love songs nor the pledges of undying love..but songs of hope, healing, reminiscing, really good songs with lovely melody, amazing vocals and heartfelt messages. The way they sing is sincere and they perform with these emotions that would make you feel so much. Hope you would try reacting to some of their ballads too..they're good. You can try their trilogy: IT'S OKAY, REMEMBER THAT and WAY BACK HOME. Or WHEN I WAS YOUR MAN, STAR and INSANE. But if you prefer more upbeat, then YOU'RE SO FLY, 2ND CONFESSION, WOW, BEEP BEEP and THRILLER would be nice.😊 Hope you'd react to more BTOB..be waiting for more. I think it's because you can hear their voices clearly on each song which makes it why they are easy to listen to, unlike for others wherein a lot of things are being added which makes it hard to listen to.

So basically for me the reason why they have some particular sound in different song is the composer. Hyunsik song, minhyuk song, and ilhoon song have different sense so yeah have many composer in one group is one of their biggest strength

i get you. I was introduced to kpop through 5TVXQ so I am more familiar with SM songs and there's something refreshing with BTOB's music, even overall concept. This group don't intend to overwhelm you, they're more like the sentimental, healing, comforting,' we just love music that you can listen and relate to' type of group. Fans always say you can trust BTOB to release music that you will like or at least you dont have to defend. Nothing wrong with SM's music though, i love them and they're impressive. I hope more ifans pay attention to BTOB.

To me btob songs are very easy to listen to and easy for the years. Most groups now days have a very loud music as I call it very hard and bearable for the years to much noise. Just my opinion btob music is very pleasant and nice. You can listen and keep for hours no matter the mood.

BTOB have their own genre. When Host or Mc ask BTOB vocalist to cover a song they will ask them to cover using BTOB genre and not ballad or rock. That's why they'r songs are so uniqe.
