Just imagine.. they had next to no budget.. their clothes and accessories would barely hit 10 bucks per person.. they did what they could to somehow film it.. but they were the definition of monster rookies. The sound and story was like throwing a bomb on the existing industry. Truth be told most of the major companies were shook. They didn't know how to handle these new entrants. They were feeling so threatened. But you could see why. Even without all that money they created a song for the ages. If they re-filmed this with the kind of budget they have today, it would be a chart topper.

@@fierte wait- what? Lols. JiYong does his own thing, yeah he has the support of YG and millions of fans, but he never hated on BTS, but actually inspired them. And VIPs never attacked BTS in 2013 or 2014. It was during 2015 when people started to say stuff and maybe even during 2017 when we say a lil bit more fanwars. Before that, VIPS and EXOls were more against each other compared to how ARMY was with any other fandom. Im confused on what you mean by this? Plus when BTS finally gaining the recognition they deserve, in my opinion, it was during 2017-2018, while gdragon was already in the military... Honestly what you said made no sense lmao. JiYong is someone who is literally known throughout Asia. Eventhough BTS surpassed BIGBANG with sales and views, Gdragons impact is still there and once he has that comeback, people are going to see that impact once again. Not to mention, he's like BTS in regards to everything selling out that he touches or wears. In china, I would even say, he has more of a following than BTS. BTS are my ULTS, but gdragon or his fans never really even paid any attention to BTS. Now people just know both artists. I think you should elaborate on your thoughts, cuz I'm hella confused on what you mean.

Here we go guys, « No more dream » is the lead single that BTS debuted with in 2013. It was received with strong impressions within the K-Pop industry, for it’s honest and motivational lyrics, and it’s authenticity (compared to other K-Pop songs at the time). It is also BTS’s first title track, and the fourth track off of BTS’s debut album, 2 Cool 4 Skool. Just like the title suggests, the self-penned song, along with its strong hip-hop beat, criticized the lack of passion in young people, and their lack of dreams. It reminisces 1990s gangster rap songs, remade with a contemporary style. On 12 June 2013. BTS made their first live performance at the Ilji Art Hall in Cheongdamdong. Promotions for the song started when the first teaser was released on June 6, 2013. Following that, the second teaser was released on June 9, 2013, three days later. The official MV was released on June 11, 2013, two days before BTS’s official debut. On June 12, 2013, one day before BTS’s official debut in South Korea, they showcased a live performance of “No More Dream” at their press release. A day later, BTS performed “No More Dream” on M Countdown, marking their official South Korea debut. Promotion attempts for the song proved to be successful, and the song made headlines, despite the group being rookies and coming from a small and almost bankrupt company. The song peaked at number 14 on the Billboard World Digital Songs. However, the song received a lot of negative backlash as well. Some antis claimed that BTS was imitating another Hip-Hop orientated K-pop group, Big Bang. In a 2019 reaction video of BTS reacting to their debut stage, Seokjin commented on how South Korea netizens jeered at No More Dream’s Hip Hop concept by implying that it was old fashioned, and embarrassing. Let's move on to the explanation: HEY, WHAT'S YOUR DREAM? HEY, WHAT’S YOUR DREAM? HEY, WHAT'S YOUR DREAM? HEY, IS THAT YOUR DREAM? The repetitiveness of this line implements how the mindset of dreaming big is stressed to individuals as they grow up. The concept of dreaming big has a growing relevancy in the 21st century. Although it is something meant to inspire people to build their character and reach their goals, the pressure it induces can be overwhelming, especially for the younger generation. From a young age, a person’s told to dream big, to set their futures to a high standard, yet once they age and mature their dreams are often shot down as unreasonable, not profitable, etc. In addition, the possibility of failing said dreams along with the fact that a great deal of luck plays into reaching them, the reality of this innocent idea of reaching for the sky falls short of expectation. BTS criticize this hypocritical society. As a debut song for a group coming from a small company, the song takes on another meaning as well. BTS were ridiculed for being too ambitious, and this song counteracts the Korean media that claimed they were destined to fail. As an anthem for choosing individual paths in life, BTS debuted with the concrete goal of being themselves and defying the standards they were set to. This concept is further developed in later songs like Agust D’s 2016 track “So Far Away” and their 2018 track “낙원 (Paradise).” While “No More Dream” expresses a bitter reaction to the reality of dreaming big, these songs reveal a variety of mixed emotions. « It’s alright to stop There’s no need to run without even knowing the reason It’s alright to not have a dream If you have moments where you feel happiness for a while » I WANNA BIG HOUSE, BIG CARS & BIG RINGS BUT IN REALITY, I DON'T HAVE ANY BIG DREAMS In the first two lines, when SUGA raps about his “superficial dreams”, he confesses that he doesn’t have any big dreams. While writing this song, RM had also confessed to not having any big dreams in middle school. « My thoughts is that people in their 10’s are the same now as they were back then. They continue to not have dreams, don’t want to study, and have no idea what it is that they want to do. They just want to become a civil servant or make a lot of money. […]“A student that just studies hard even though they don’t have a dream” is exactly who I was. » Thus we see a recurring theme to this song-young people grasping with the “superficial” dreams that they have, which really is just the standard of a stable life that society has forced onto them. Get good grades, graudate, go to a good university, and get a good job. At 2018 SBS Gayo Daejun, Yoongi changes “I wanna” to “let’s go”. They have it all now- big house, big cars & big rings. Their hard work earned them success and they now have what they wanted. HAHA I LIVE AN EASY LIFE This might be referring to how people think K-pop idols (or just idols in general) live a easy life with luxury, comfort and pleasure at every step, when in reality it’s long hours of hard work, injuries, scandals etc. WHEN WE WERE STILL YOUNG I SAID I'LL GO TO SOME UNIVERSITY RM’s parents wanted him to go to college instead of doing music, especially his mom, because he was really smart and he was even preparing for college entrance exams. WHY DON'T YOU SAY ANYTHING? YOU DON'T WANT TO STUDY YOU'RE TOO AFRAID TO QUIT THE SCHOOL, RIGHT? SEE, YOU'RE GETTING READY FOR SCHOOL GROW UP, DON'T JUST TALK, YOU HAVE A WEAK MIND BOY Jungkook left the comforts of his home and went to Seoul to pursue his career in dancing and singing at the age of 15, and he’s been working ever since. He is the embodiment of someone who has the courage to pursue his own dreams as opposed to just following whatever society expects him to do. He is uniquely qualified to rap this verse. FUTURE JOB NUMBER ONE, PUBLIC OFFICIALS? A job that is considered to be stable and is what many parents want their children to be, rather than jobs like being an idol, singers, or other “risky” careers. IT'S NOT A FORCED DREAM, A RELIEF PITCHER This phrase ‘It’s not a forced dream…’ tells people that they shouldn’t have a fake dream or something that others told them to do. They should have their own ambition which is their own choice and that will make them happy. This links to the context that some BTS members weren’t supported by their parents and others when they wanted to become idols. However, they pursued their dreams and worked hard. They didn’t listen to the dreams their parents gave them. Instead they listened to their own dreams. This is clear in the line ‘Adults and parents tell us the same dream’. This might also connote that if you have a dream you should do everything you can to achieve it. It might be telling us to chase our dreams and we will reach successfulness; BTS chased their dreams and they are now the best boy band in the music industry! The metaphor ‘relief pitcher’ means that they shouldn’t put those dreams to save them when they couldn’t achieve theirs. This links back to the inference earlier about chasing your dreams. It tells us to never give up and keep going until you reach it. If you do not reach it then you are simply taking the given dream as a second choice and that shouldn’t be the case. You should only have one thing in mind and that is the only thing that is best for you. This might also be saying that life is like a baseball game (relief pitchers are used in baseball when someone has to enter the game due to the current player’s injury or any other reason for being removed). The reason why life might be like a baseball game is because you have one aim in the game, which is to win the game for your team in order to be the best team in the league. That is exactly like how our aims should be like: we should only have one main one that we try our best to achieve. THROW A FASTBALL TO THE SELF-STUDY TIME THAT IS A WASTE OF TIME Original Lyrics 시간낭비인 야자에 돌직구를 날려 ‘야자’ or ‘yaja’ is an abbreviation of ‘야간자율학습시간’ or ‘Yagan Jayul Hagseub Shigan’ which means night self-study. It was introduced as a form of after-school schooling when South Korea was struggling with the university entrance under the rule of former President Chun Doo-hwan who banned tutoring and supplementary classes for current students by implementing educational reform measures on July 30, 1980. During 1981-1998, a school notorious for keeping students until the night and forcibly making them study. The regular class time was from 8-9 AM to 5 PM, and then ‘yaja’ until 9-10 PM after dinner. Some high schools still have it and students can’t leave unless they have valid excuses. ‘돌직구’ or ‘Doljikku’ is formed by combining ‘돌’ or stone and ‘직구’ or fastball, refers to a very strong fastball which is also slang for a straightforward and blunt comment. TO ALL THE YOUNGSTERS WITHOUT DREAMS It’s okay to live without a dream and to still be happy. This sentence rings with the message of Paradise from Love Yourself: Tear. And voilà, BTS presented themselves to the world for the first time with this title; realize their courage at that time when their government was against the freedom of expression, to be already politically engaged despite their young age (Jungkook was 15 years old) with their own texts with a budget almost nil and braving all the codes of the Kpop industry... A real Russian roulette.

Alex and Allen. There’s still so much mis information being given, or people not giving credit where credit is due. This is the actual roles of the BTS members. Also Main is above Lead, not the other way around. RM: Leader, main rapper Jin: Vocalist, Visual Suga: Lead Rapper Jhope: Lead Rapper, Main Dancer, Dance Leader, Sub-Vocalist (Sometimes Jhope helps with choreo, either making it up or teaching the other boys since he learns it the fastest. He also sings background on a lot of songs and his voice is layered with the other vocalist) Jimin: Lead Singer, Main Dancer (Jimin and Hobi are both main dancers. He also helps the other guys with learning choreo. Jhope learns fastest, then Jimin. But Jhope does is more often that’s why he’s considered dance leader. But they are both excellent dancers and the best in the group. Just different styles.) V: Vocalist, Dancer, Visual Jungkook: Main vocalist, Lead Dancer, Sub-Rapper, Center, Maknae (Jungkook used to do a lot of rapping in their earlier days. He’s also normally front and center during dances, etc. And he’s the youngest)

When each of the boys auditioned, Jungkook was the only one with a singing background and as he’s the youngest, he learned and improved his vocal technique much faster than the others. So he got assigned as the main vocalist, had the most lines, he’d do the vocal guides as well as adlibs (he’s also the centre,-!: part of the dance line. This is why he’s called the golden maknae). But nowadays every vocalist takes part in everything. Line distribution changes depending on the song, but it’s pretty much equal.

I have to say, I truly LOVE that you guys try to read along with the Korean lyrics. It doesn't matter if your pronunciation is a little off - what matters is that you try. That is, in essence, the message of this song - it doesn't matter if you live for a day, if you are embarrassed, if you are afraid. So long as you live. Don't let fear stop you from doing. Don't let parents, society, or your own insecurities keep you from trying things out. Yes, you will fail, and often. I think you guys need to understand more about the educational system in Korea, especially since so many of BTS' early songs relate to it. They have one of the most rigorous and competitive systems in the world, where each school publishes student rankings quarterly. Teenagers, in particular, go to school from early in the morning to late at night. Most high-schoolers go to cram schools when regular classes let out. These are private schools ($$$) that hold classes in specialty subjects like math, korean, English, etc. You see, a student's whole future is dependent on what university he/she attends. Top universities lead to top jobs. And universities rely on one test -- ONE-- given to high schoolers. The test is given on one day only (no make-ups) and lasts 8 hours. It is much, much harder than the SATs. (Most American adults could not pass the English portion of the test... I've seen sample questions.) Parents sacrifice a lot for their kids to succeed. They take on second jobs to pay for cram schools. The family may scrimp and give up things like vacation. HS students hardly see their families, since their homes just become a place to sleep. So ... no pressure, right?

Super Agreed , for those ARMY from No More Dream Era or first 2 -3 years from the debute , we witness There were two Main Dancer of BTS , Jhope and Jimin, main dancers with different role as main dancer.. The video documentary Who is BTS the seven member of Bangtan , is somewhat many fans did as source and thought , from what i’ve been seeing to many reactor reacted to it, that said Jhope is the dance leader of BTS, Jhope does lead, teach other members but Jimin too.. they both do that ,, in that video where jhope said strict in teaching Jin, it was just the last part that gotten but Jimin was the one really teaching Jin , watch all bts behind the scenes from the beginning .. But now Jhope really do teach and even guested to other trainees to advised some points in dancing.. Jimin and Jhope both been send to other country or send-first to meet their choreographers to participate in choreography, both suggesting steps, both help other members. BTS members saying Jhope is the best dancer , even Jimin saying that too , because of his respect and fondness to his hyung ,, South Korean have the culture of following and giving respect to someone older , and because Jimin’s younger to Jhope , he keeps quiet and only listen when jhope helping him teaching because seldom other hyung turn joking with Jimin.. But the truth in that part Jin already knew the step., he just practicing it.. The idea that BTS Have Dance leader has not been announced by BigHit or BTS from the beginning until the present.. Jhope , Jimin and Jungkook were the Dance Line of BTS Jhope have the ability to learn easily the whole choreography, Jimin is the control or key man of all bts choreography’s transitions of formations that is his role as main dancer .. I’m just sharing you guys , i didn’t know it too , it was explain only by a friend of mine who is professional too in dancing , and I observed every bts dance practice not just watch it , and several times because i have no idea in dancing.. I just observed too , until now its hard for me to see it too.. and Jungkook because he is good at dancing too..and V according also to a fan made documentary mentioned that V was added to dance line, well now i think all of BTS member were in dance line , because they are all good in dancing .. 💜

Alex just no. NO twerking! JK was 15, FIFTEEN when this song came out, twerking to a group with a 15-year-old in it is just NO Ew Yuck, :squick squick squick: Yes, JK rapped a fair bit during the earlier eras. He is missed. #BringBackRapperJK So, Alex you aren't wrong, but there is also cultural context. They aren't liberal as a whole, freedom is for the mega-rich, everyone else has to stay in their lane. Classism is still a thing there. As the child don't actually get to pick your path. You are expected to get the best grades in everything and then go to the best university your family can afford and come out the other end either with a high paying profession doctor/ lawyer etc, or skilled enough to work in the office of a big company. The arts (like music, dance etc) is a non-choice. These guys went very much against their families wishes (The Hyung line, in particular, took flack from their families for wanting to be in the music industry) Having a dream to be something different is, apparently, usually squashed soundly, fought against etc. This song (as well as N.O.) are incredibly rebellious from a Korean point of view if I understand the cultural mores correctly, and I think many Korean parents were pretty ANTI-BTS as a result. Baby Jimin abs are so adorable! I always end up giggling and clapping. He's so damn smol, and they are all trying so hard to be fierce. :giggle snicker: I love them. It just goes to show you how just opening your mind a little bit can expand it so much to the point where you recognize your own habit before of referring to anything Asian as Chinese and now you notice the differences to the point where you said it has helped you at work and that you are actively speaking up to co-workers about possible nationalities is amazing. Jiminie is the one who cringes the most with his old BTS persona back then, and I’m glad that these days he doesn’t really care that much anymore of how he looks like back then. The dance practice for an award show of this song is actually really amazing, ya need to check it out guys! 💜 ps- back in 2017, I was like you guys, I couldn’t tell who’s who because they looked all the same for me. But it took me 9 days to finally recognize their faces, and I realized that no one looked alike the other, they all have so much different faces from each other. 😆💜

Another thing BTS is known for is their awesome choreos... when watching their vids i strongly recommend also watching their dance practice for those MVs. It's a whole other experience.

hey guys ! just watched this and was really intrigued by what you said about identifying ppl, I watched a programme on netflix where many men were put to prison from witness and line ups, the psychology behind not using a line up etc is its easier for us to identify features from our own race than it is another race or culture. im so much more aware of this from watching kpop and the programme i saw, in a nutshell a white woman identified her rapist(black guy) and he was placed in prison for a long time, he got cleared she was mortified she had put someone away who was innocent , they became friends and now work on highlighting this problem :)

Rap line - Namjoon, Yoongi and Hobi Vocal line - Jungkook, Taehyung, Jimin and Jin Dance line - Hobi, Jungkook, Jimin and Taehyung Guys, Jungkook is main vocalist. From the beginning, he was the best vocalist with the most stable voice, and during the most difficult choreographies and concerts, his voice is stable, you can't hear that he is tired. That is why it happened that the haters accused him of not singing live. But he is also sub-rapper, I don't know why he doesn't rap in newer songs, because if he practiced a little, he would be just as good as the Rap line. You should react to: Jungkook Rap Compilation and Jungkook proving why he's called the golden maknae for 17 minutes. On the other hand, Hobi is a dance leader and he is a sub-vocalist. You can definitely see that he is the best dancer, but he is also a good singer.

BTS have grown through their music so much through these 7 years and yeah when BTS started they were more of a hiphop group so yeah JK used to rap as well! He's the golden maknae and he's the main vocalist as well btw! They look like babies and I'll always love where they started from lol BTS used to actively critize the Korean government and school system as you may know in few Asian countries schools tend to be really harsh on kids and this was their debut! Look where they are now ALSO DYNAMITE TEASER IS OUT
@ellie_jeann4 жыл бұрын
As you can see they are babies 😎 except for maybe JIN who was 20 (21 yrs old, oldest) and JungKook was 16 (15 years old, youngest) ... Since Korea goes by their own country’s aging system instead of just the international one, when koreans are born they are automatically one years old adding a year to their regular age even though they’re not that age yet which is known as “unofficial age” but according to their aging system they’re already two years old (3 yrs old). I know it’s confusing now but they more you learn of them and the culture overtime it will become a bit easier to understand. JIN DEC 1992 - 20 (21 yrs old) SUGA MAR 1993 - 19 (20 yrs old) JHOPE FEB 1994 - 18 (19 yrs old) RM SEPT 1994 - 18 (19 yrs old) JIMIN OCT 1995 - 17 (18 yrs old) V DEC 1995 - 17 (18 yrs old) JUNGKOOK SEPT 1997 - 16 (15 yrs old)

You should see the movies * love yourself in seul 2019*. Especially they comments in relation to the film, (there they see their concerts each one and there is a part in which he added production in the film and it was his beginnings HYYH and his first presentations so what they were doing on stage hahaha they are currently dying of laughter Especially Jimin hahaha .. for making various expressions that he no longer does hahaha ... all of that is on the ok.ru page deberian de ver las peliculas *love yourself seul*. especialmente los comentarios en relacion a la pelicula,( alli ellos ven sus conciertos cada uno y hay una parte en que añadio produccion en la pelicula y fue sus inicios HYYH y sus primeras presentaciones asi lo que hacian en el escenario jajajj ellos actualmente mueren de risa especialmente Jimin jajjajj.. por hacer varias expreciones que actualmente ya no las hace jajaj... todo eso esta en la pagina ok.ru

Jungkook is the main vocalist, sub rapper, lead dancer and official “center” of bts lol he’s actually good as shit with good fast cadence…. Definitely tell he looks up to the older boys as rap role models… I miss it lol he’s the only vocalist that actually had raps back then and still has melodic raps and shit like that now and he rap harmonizes with the rap line all the time

No one asked but, I remember that time when I am *SOOOO AMAZED* like "Woah" "Wow" "Omoooo" "Waaah" with this MV way back before. And now it makes me smile to remember those times & how they tried their best to look & sound *'Bad boys'* I am like now; "They look so young & baby face" "What are you guys doing?😂" "WHY IT LOOKS SO CUTE NOW😂" "Aiyoo....." But still, it makes me miss those old days. And this song will stay beautiful & Bop. [FROM THIS MV(their debut song 2013) WE ARE NOW IN *DYNAMITE* ERA 2020, GOODLUCK TO US ESPECIALLY TO OUR 7ANPANMANs)
@ellie_jeann4 жыл бұрын
KEEP IN MIND THEY PUT THEIR LASTNAMES FIRST and FIRSTNAMES LAST ... for example, Kim Nam-Joon = Namjoon Kim and also Jungkook started out rapping for abit then unexpectingly became main vocalist on top of being subrapper and overtime he focused more on the singing & dancing doing rapping here and there when needed but he’s been doing both for awhile. I’ve noticed for some time now that he’s been slowly bringing back that Rapper JK side himself abit more and more through their newer albums. *BTS started out with hip hop, rap, pop genres because they wanted to really grab the attention their fans especially International audience (Westerners)!* @16:50 😹😹Yes that’s Jimin before he became abit more Leaner with Abs (I don’t remember when he started dieting) *scratches head, trying to remember*
@sonata13564 жыл бұрын
Jungkook is the main vocalist but all the vocal line jin jimin v and jungkook all can be considered main vocalists cause all of them shine in tone and range of their own and it is not about who sings the most it is who is the best suited in each part of the songs that is how bts decide which part gonna be sang by who.
