Wow, you're really good! Not many reactors understood Blood Sweat & Tears on the first watch. It's inspired by the novel Demian by Herman Hesse. I agree that Black Swan deserves a billion views. BTS really blew up in the west because of DNA (or rather it was like another step). And then Dynamite is an English song, so it blew up even more. But to me, Black Swan and BST represents what BTS are really about - the artistry, the lyricism, the way they can capture emotion and the way they put themselves into their music. That's why I fell in love with them.

So, you have done their pop-ish DNA and Dynamite Their artistics ones Black Swan and Blood Sweat & Tears Next, you should try either ‘swagger’ or ‘emo’. My suggestions: Swagger songs - ON Kinetic Manfesto Films and Mic Drop Emo songs - Fake Love and Outro: Tear To put things in perspective, Outro:Tear is my ultimate favourite song of their entire 300++ discography

Reacting to BTS isn't always easy. There are some really good short documentaries that'll show you why BTS fans are so protective, if you're interested. BTS has been through a lot of unjust public criticism, so fans jump real quick to defend them. Either way, loved this reaction! Check out On Kinetic Manifesto Film to watch their performance, but I think you need to also watch On Official MV since you appreciate symbolism! Both are really good!

omg you're amazing, your breakdowns gives me new ideas of the songs too and you literally got most of it right...you're amazing..... this song is inspired by a book called Demian ,the whole album actually, called "Wings" is inspired by the book Demian...all of the songs in the album wings are connected to each other but are also songs that we can have our own interpretation of and relate to them. "Blood Sweat & Tears' is a song that shows how one thinks, chooses, and grows."-RM (Kim Namjoon) 11:44 "The song relays an optimistic determination to use our wings to go far, even if we are met with temptations in life." Suga (Min Yoongi) 11:40 The guy in 18:37 is WWH (worldwide handsome) his name is Jin ( Kim Seokjin) he plays an important role in most of the bts videos that has a storyline ( a bts universe story that started in the M/V of I Need U ,one of their songs ......and recent continuation of it in Film Out M/V and hasn't continued since then which you can check out if you decide to become a hardcore army but ill leave that decision to you since many armies haven't been taking your reactions positively ) back to Jin,he was playing a role in this MV too but i wouldn't bring that in now cause its too much to handle...but your theory was so good and mostly accurate... Thank you so much for this reaction...you're really smart and i love the way you interpret so accurately.I hope you don't get too caught up with the unnecessary comments....they might have misunderstood what you meant but for me i see no harm in your reactions....armies can be really protective over bts and we often have to defend them from humans that purposely say mean stuff or make fun of them....and most of the time we cant really tell the difference if a certain reactor is unintentionally commenting or purposely being naive and rude because it happens so often especially with bts since they're so famous and some people just never stop downsizing them. i see honesty in your reactions i hope the others can see that too and if you decide to react to them more ill suggest you check out Mic Drop and film out or you can watch their introduction here kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZSohHSImtl8b7c .....Thank you again and enjoy your weekends!

Black Swan is about an Artist loosing passion for their art. The song was inspired by a famous choreographers quote, I cant remember her name tho. The quote was something along the lines of -A dancer dies twice, the first when they stop dancing, and this death is the more painful.

This group has so many songs with so many different sounds, and many of their stuff is quite deep. They follow books like omelas and Carl Jung's Map of the Soul and they talk about heavy stuff too. Thanks for the time stamps, but most of us watch a whole video (some on the hunt for micro-aggressions against the group, and some for the micro-bursts of recognition, understanding, and amazement at their artistry and talent). Sorry you had a rough start.I didn't have any issue with it. You didn't like it, that's your right. (Which, BTW, is subjective. Objective would be if you were giving knowledgeable evidence for the song or video's lyrics, composition, or production. You were giving your opinion on whether you liked it or not; subjective... which is fine.) Just remember, they have well over 300 songs from nearing ten years since their BTS debut, so there's way more to unpack to honestly tell yourself you've explored them fairly. (Seriously no hate or negativity implied in my words.) Please do your best to discern between hate/aggression towards you vs. enthusiastic teaching about things you either don't know or understand about the group. ARMY wants to "help" you learn, but many don't read that you received the same message a thousand times in previous comments, lol. The fandom has people from eight to eighty+ year olds from around the world commenting, and sometimes things get lost in translation, so try to let any negativity roll off your back while we fact or attitude check each other. (Fandom is so big, even if only one percent of us are toxic, it's still conservatively well over 500 thousand loud) I'm hoping you enjoy learning more about the group, its members, their music and their message✌️🖖 *Edit: lol, so sorry! I just realized how late I am to your reactions. I'll be checking your channel to see how your journey has been. Thanks for the time I've spent together with you and BTS 💜

Please keep on with reactions to BTS. They have a lot of very different videos. Many qualify as fine art. The guy looking at The Fall of the Rebel Angels is Jin. There is a full explanation of this by XCeleste. I also agree, these pieces are better. If you would like to talk about how you felt about the 1st 2 songs, do it. It is your channel. Some other pieces to react to: Mic Drop, Fake Love. For dance way beyond what you would expect, On Kinetic Manifesto. I sure don’t have to always agree with you to enjoy what you have to say. I enjoy other minds. I get tired of my own.

@helenscott82023 жыл бұрын
@@lattelover5471 Oh believe me, I have a very straight forward, unsymbolic mind. It takes several people, coming at the same stuff from different viewpoints for me to understand a pretty good amount of the symbolism. Black Swan is a great case in point. I watched it. I got so wound up in the dance I didn’t even get the fact they wore both white and black suits. This is partially based on Martha Graham’s quote about a dancer’s first death is when they must stop dancing. This is by far the more painful death (not the exact quote). In Black Swan, BTS obviously knows who they are and is actively creative in music when wearing white. This is according to the lyrics. They start to lose their way when wearing black. But they are determined to come back in music. Then, they suffer a Black Swan Event (the wings). This is a sudden unexpected catastrophe. From there, no matter what, they are in black. At the end, even their identity is gone, and they don’t know who or what they are. Let’s just say it has taken me and other minds awhile to get me that far. Blood, Sweat, and Tears takes far more explanation, and there are still places blank to me, even tho I’ve worked on it myself as well as read and seen others think they have it all. But, I love puzzles, so it’s all to the good! I don’t have to have something the first several times. Hope to have you along.

Great reaction! You're very insightful, as Black Swan and Blood Sweat and Tears have deep, layered meanings. Actually, aside from a few songs that BTS intentionally chose to be light and and uplifting (especially because of the pandemic) most of BTS's work have deep meaningful messages. Blood Sweat and Tears was the first song of theirs I listened to back in 2016, and I've been an ARMY ever since. Thanks for this reaction.:) As others have already mentioned, Black Swan is a song about the fear that someday they may lose their passion for music. BTS members said they felt scared and pressured because they suddenly became world famous around 2018. So they were thinking about disbanding, and nevertheless, after a year of hard time thinking, they decided to think only about their fans and themselves and move forward. The albums that have been released since then are the Map of the Soul series. The albums are filled with songs that reconsider their inner self, the relationship between the seven members, and the relationship between them and fans. Boy with luv contains a message that they will fly toward fans, not the sun, with wings attached by ARMY. And after listening to Black Swan, you can better understand how they feel by reading On's lyrics. :)

Intelligent storytelling over a sick beat is everything to me. Black Swan is my ringtone. Their music is life changing for many so ignore the few that are over zealous... it's like that any fandom. BTS just has over 90 millions fans. Trust us average fans. ☺️. The title tracks MVs are great but it's the b-sides. Since you like Black Swan maybe you want to hear more RnB from them. Here's some: Home, Love Maze, Make it Right, House of Cards. Some have live performances, or lyric videos.

OMG well done! Not a lot of reactors start off noticing all the visual cues in BTS's videos about the track's meaning. I really hope you choose to continue reacting to BTS content, b/c someone with your perceptiveness would enjoy the interconnected storyline & finding the clues in MVs about it as well as deep dives into unconnected MVs. Also, you don't have to explain yourself. The last video was your first & you shouldn't be expected to understand anything immediately about BTS. There are a lot of stereotypes, prejudices & cultural differences to sift through. The Best ARMY will write you a novel to explain everything you misunderstood & teach you, but the worst can be quite immature & unnecessarily defensive. Then of course there are what are called Antis in the KPOP world, who try there best to make a group(s) look bad to the benefit of their favorite group. Its just best to ignore the latter, like you would a child in a temper tantrum. They'll grow up eventually, if they find they don't get a reaction that way.

Holy sh!t, this reaction is good. I liked the last one well enough, but this one is awesome! I love when people break it down, actually paying attention to the video and the lyrics! I mean, one of the best parts about BTS is the thought and care they put into so much of their music. So, while I appreciate people just vibing and enjoying our boys, I really love those who properly pay attention to what they crafted with care. To quote RM, "These days, most people don't listen to the lyrics anymore. Even for myself, listening to pop, I only take extra care to listen to the lyrics when it's a song I really like. We simply enjoy the vibes or melody of the song. That's no problem, and looks like that's the trend. I think it's the trend of music. But in such an era, I want to buck the trend. As I said earlier, in the era of of music streaming, I want to focus on albums, to make an intro with structure, and to make substantial tracks. Something unconventional. Not sure what people would think, but I want to make something unconventional. In a time when the melody and good vibes is important, as someone who wanted to be a poet, as I wanted to become a writer, the audible feel of the words, and the beauty of the lyrics are more important. And those are for you. _The lyrics are more important, right?"_ Yes, RM, I absolutely agree. You're my bias for a reason, lol. Resonate. :)

I love your interpretation of the songs! If you do decide to make another video, or just in your spare time, I think you might enjoy analysing Intro: Singularity (V's solo from their Love Yourself album series), Interlude: Shadow (SUGA's solo from their Map of the Soul 7 album), Louder Than Bombs (b-side from MOTS7). They all share some of the darker vibes from Black Swan and have powerful lyrics. Discovering the albums and their lyricism has been one of my favourite parts of being a fan, aside from just the positive energy they give out. BTS also have outstanding live performances which is a large part of their popularity, so if you'd ever be interested in checking some of those out I know people love to see people react to them :) Thanks for the video!

Agree. Black Swan is flawless. I suggest you watch Black Swan live at James Corden. That’s impressive!

You should listen to Singularity by V (he’s a member of bts) and that song gets me every time with the soul rnb vibe.

Thank you for this reaction! Please don’t be discouraged by some BTS fans’ comments. You are entitled to your opinion! As Kim Namjoom (aka RM) said in his 2018 speech at the UN: “Speak yourself.” I’m not exactly sure how it happens but fans get protective of BTS. I am a baby ARMY (became a fan in August 2021) and I found myself indignant at Billboard’s article just weeks later. Never felt that for any other artist. Maybe it’s because BTS has endured hate comments from 2013 forward and yet (so far as I can tell) all they’ve done is make tons of amazing, heartfelt music and been unfailingly polite even when interviewers dissed them to their faces. They save the replies to their haters for their songs, especially the raps. And songs about overcoming it all, like “Not Today” (chorus based on a famous quote from MLK Jr) and “ON”. Please give BTS and their fans another chance. The songs are worth it!!!!

"Fall of the Rebelling Angel's" I think? Yeah. Blood, Sweat and Tears is a song about temptation and growing up with all the temptations that that come along as an adult. The whole album it came from has been inspired by the book 'Demian' by Herman Hesse (spelling?)

I really loved your reactions and I hope you do more BTS videos because you can unpack a lot from the lyrics and MVs. Also, I'm sorry if you felt bad by reading someone's comment. I would just tell one thing and that is, your saying that BTS is already big and that's why you didn't want to give them a chance might have hurt them. The reason is that for the longest they were actually underdogs and under appreciated, specially in their own country South Korea as their company/ record label wasn't big nor considered mainstream. So, don't mind them. I, personally would really love it if you changed your decision and decided to do some more BTS videos and I'm sure other ARMY'S would love it too. At the end, it's your decision and we'll respect that.💜

17:01 limbo - also called liminal - what a great observation! Between heaven and hell. Or simply between the comfortable security of the past v. the not-so-comfortable unknowns of the future. The point where we are in free fall. We have let go of one trapeze and haven’t grabbed the next one yet. You are one smart guy!!! I’m glad you reached out to your humanities professor, even if she got your name wrong 😔. You learned from her, which in the end is what’s important.

You really get them,I loved this reaction. Hope you do more BTS,they have almost 300 songs to choose from so there are lots to choose from. House of Cards live by the vocal line would be your thing I think.

Its all about taste because subjectively the last songs you reacted to are not bad songs jut they aren't songs you yourself personally like, which I can understand because everyone has their own preferences. But seeing that you like these two you'd definitely like "My time' 'fake love" and 'Paradise'

Wow, you picked up so much detail in the first watch is Blood Sweat & Tears! There’s an explanation video I think you’d really enjoy since it seems like you’re naturally into the stories and metaphors. Go you!!! The pop tracks you first watched are fun but super light…I am far more into these heavier sorts of tracks. If you’d also like to watch some live performances I’d love you to watch House of Cards live (by the 4 vocalists) and Outro: Tear live (by the 3 rappers). Both have eng subs versions. They rip my heart out…so emotive. Please keep reacting to BTS. Just ignore anyone problematic in the chats.

Great two songs to react to! Black Swan is seriously under rated as a song and MV, the barefoot contemporary dancing (live especially) is breath taking and not something you ever see pop outs doing. The song hits me as it addresses the fear of losing your passion for your art (for them music). As you mentioned the music production and touches with the shadows are just a glimpse into how some of their songs get layers of meaning. BST is and has had college level thesis analysis, they really said let’s make one of the most amazing songs about some old classic literature, Damien, and create this visual feast. Each scene is practically a painting. On the wall is a quote in one scene in German “You have to have chaos inside you to give birth to a dancing star”. This quote is from the german philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche from the book "Also sprach Zarathustra". Lots of references in lyrics and two painting of Icarus, and yes the fall of angels. I notice a new detail every time I rewatch it. As you’ve noticed BTs and their fandom can be a double edged sword. They are a huge and passionate fandom that gets a bit rabid and comes on too strong sometimes. If you like complex songs and MVs they have a lot of it if all musical genres. If you want a fantastic neo soul type of song maybe try “House of Cards” (I’d try live although be warned alot will cause issues in KZbin).

Nice reactions to BTS, well executed pauses and reverts to the video with a few seconds of backtrack, easy and enjoyable to watch. You said you may not react to BTS anymore but instead I think you may be opening a new video playlist called BTS soon. It is the pull of the rabbit hole :)
