Honestly, I just think that all kpop groups are equally amazing. None of them need or have to be wishing to be the other because they are talented and unique as they are. Just like Tae, Felix has a deep voice, but so does Mingi and many others kpop idols. And just like Taemin, Jimin is an amazing dancer with his own style as well as Hyunjin, Lee Know,Jk, Jhope, Key, etc. If we want reactors to stop comparing between kpop idols, we the fans also have to stop comparing them and bringing down other groups by saying who dances or sings better. We as fans have our own preferences but lets not bring down other groups that also work really hard to get to where they are because we like them less. Btw some fans be here hating when in reality most kpop idols are BFFs :)

Stumbled on this reaction. Bangtan is superior in my opinion even after my 1st exposure to Kpop (1st concert was Shinee). I have just found Bangtan as a whole more diverse and versatile overall as a group and would never limit them to a boyband label. I love Taemin and find his Japanese releases top tier over his Korean releases and he is outstanding in dance.

They are just so pretty and so pastel in dynamite and that isn't really my vibe, but I'm glad you enjoyed them. They have a very big and very diverse discography. The two guys who gave you chills were, V, with the deep voice and Jimin, with those eyes that you said had to be plotting something. If you like trap and hip hop, listen to Mic Drop and Black Swan. They have a totally different vibe than these two songs, much darker. You'll be amazed at BTS's versatility. They sound like totally different bands. Dynamite is their first all English song. Idk if you noticed it was all in English. You didn't seem surprised. If you want to be blown away by their choreo and dancing, must watch, ON, Kinetic Manifesto Come Prima. And if you want more English and happy, Butter and Permission to Dance. All three English songs by BTS went to #1 on Billboard Hot 100 as well as Global 200. Butter stayed there for over 11 weeks. There is also a Butter version feat. Megan Thee Stallion.

I like how you react to more than one song a video! Thanks for this reaction. When I saw this video was up, I first went and checked out your channel. Saw your Taemin vids (he's so amazing) and Mamamoo HIP (as a lesbian I fully appreciated the pausing and close-ups on Solar and Wheein ugh they're gorgeous). I'm happy you reacted to these! I'd like to give you a few more suggestions for BTS: Mic Drop (Steve Aoki Remix), Butter, ON Kinetic Manifesto Film, and Black Swan. Jimin isn't Taemin, you're right. Taemin debuted so young and made such an amazing mark on the industry! I'm missing him while he's doing his service. Jimin is my ultimate bias, however, so please don't be too quick to dismiss him. He definitely has a different vibe than Taemin even though they're compared to each other quite a bit. Jimin trained in pop/lock hip-hop dance in middle school and then went to an arts high school where he became the top student in the modern dance department. So his movements will definitely be different than Taemin's. Also, where Taemin feels a little dangerous and sexy, Jimin is more soft and innocent. Not saying either is better than the other. Just saying one can catch your eye more than the other depending on these differences. Taemin has a successful solo career, but Jimin hasn't made much solo music. The ones he has made are just... really soft and cute and comforting. (except Lie) One thing BTS excels at, other than dance and vocals, is rapping. All three rappers have solo mixtapes out and are some of the best selling solo artists even though they don't do it primarily. BTS also has a lot of artistic freedom compared to other groups. Sorry to say it's true. But that's what made them stand out so much. Ah, I really could write for hours about BTS, so I'll stop here. They have an online concert this weekend and 4 in-person concerts in LA at the end of November (one of which I'm going to!) so don't be surprised if you get asked to react to their live performances. They're insanely good. If you made it this far, thank you! and thank you for giving all of kpop a chance!

I'm sure at this point, the comment section of this video has made it a point to let you know that there is this unwritten rule that reactors shouldn't compare idols (mainly because there's a lot of problematic commentaries that often goes hand-in-hand with such statements). There is a lot of potential backlash when it comes to casually stating your passing opinion on someone's "faves." Basically, you've unwittingly welcomed a potential fan war to erupt in your comment section. That being said, it's your channel, you do whatever you see fit. All I will say is that BTS means a lot to a lot of people for different reasons. Please forgive the comments that come off aggressive. It's almost like a kneejerk reaction for ARMY at this point. We are only trying to protect the members because for a very long time, we were the bulk of the support they got in the industry (outside of a select few in their tiny company). To say their rise to prominence was tumultuous would be a gross understatement. So if ARMY shouts are a little too bold, and our love comes off a little too strong, it is only because we are fiercely protective of these men who have impacted our lives so greatly. If the "hype train" is not for you, that's fine, but please know that it was not handed to them. That many of the groups you have had the pleasure of enjoying are due in some small part to "the guy whose face you've seen everywhere", "the guy who is no Taemin", and "the guy with the 'uncomfortably good' deep voice". (whose names are RM, Jimin, and V, respectively) Thank you for giving BTS a chance. I hope you will come to see that they are more than just a group who dances and whose fits are "on point", these are artists whose music have saved lives, inspired whole communities to make the world a better place, and most of all ,taught us how to love ourselves.

All seven members are participating in making their songs by writing, composing, and producing them. If you're interested in BTS' other songs, I recommend.... Mic Drop Blood sweat & tears FIRE On kinetic manifesto film Black Swan Save me→I'm fine Daechwita(Agust D 대취타, Suga's solo) These are pretty different from Butter or permission to dance or Dynamite.(Only these three songs are fully English.) And, all of their music videos provide English subtitles. :) Their lyrics are very deep and beautiful. ​ Or, I think it would be good to follow a story line. DNA: Joy of fateful love → Fake Love: Realizing that love was a lie → IDOL, Epiphany, Answer Love Myself: To love other people completely, you should love yourself first. They make a wide variety of genres of music like Hip-hop, Ballad, R&B, pop, EDM, etc. I'm sure there're quite a few of their 300 songs that suit your taste. :)

I love the reaction! I always worry when a reactor makes a comparison to another artist when doing a BTS reaction. I've been into kpop for years and I'm ARMY first but also follow several other groups. Some ARMY (please don't come for me) have a sort of trauma response when the boys get compared to other acts. Don't take it to heart. BTS got a lot of abuse and derision coming up in the industry and worked their asses off to be where they are, and many fans have such mama bear protective energy that it can cross over to almost gatekeeping at times. I find that's why many reactors are hesitant to watch their stuff. They get accused of bandwagoning/faking enjoying the music and then if they make a comparison to something they are already familiar with they get called on that too. Everyone makes comparisons even if they think they don't, and I too find similarities in Taemin and Jimin, not in dance style or anything (it's like apples and oranges to me, both lovely fruit but very different), but I do find they both lean contemporary and both have an androgyny about many of their performances that I LOVE. I can totally understand thinking Taemin is better, as you are familiar with him and one or two MVs of BTS would never make a new viewer think differently. Personally I prefer Jimins dance, I knew BTS first, I'm more invested in them as artists than SHINee, but I wouldn't tell someone they're wrong for preferring Taemin either. He is an icon, Jimin is friends with him, danced with him, and looks up to him as a senior artist. So it's a little rude to try to drag your idol's idol out of a sense of loyalty. I notice with most kpop fandoms we're protective of our groups, which is nice in small doses, but can get a little much. It seems toxic now but back in the day some of the older fandoms were actually dangerous. Like years ago you weren't allowed to like more than one group. Most fans are chill but people are more likely take the time to comment something negative than positive, so that can skew perception for new fans. I have had to dip out of a fandom or two because of the toxic vocal minority (not ARMY ofc). I think kpop fans still get so much mockery from mainstream music listeners it's a waste of energy to fight between fandoms, which is how I end up collecting groups every time I watch a survival show. 🙈

Honestly, this is an awesome reaction - you were talking about their vocals and footwork being on point, and we could see the hype!! These songs definitely do have a summer vibe!! If you want to look at a few of their darker themes music video, I would highly recommend "Black Swan" and "Fake Love". Dynamite definitely has a lot of Michael Jackson references! Even Taj Jackson tweeted about the tribute! That said, this choreography was actually one of their easiest ever in their pockets. They are all pretty amazing dancers, but noticeably the two main dancers Jimin and J-Hope come from dance heavy backgrounds: Hope was a freestyle street dancer with heavy Hiphop influence and Jimin has had extensive contemporary dance education along with hiphop.

Yeah bts are big statistically, however they did work hard for it n spent hours and all their energy towards what they're passionate about (a true inspiration especially if u take the time to look into them without pressure) as for comparing taemin n jimin, they r both amazing dancers n close friends who have collabed, but hey! It's human nature to compare no judgement, however one shouldn't say such statements without divin into more performances ☺️

Fun fact Jimin and taemin are actually really good friends. But UK they are quite different dance styles. Taemin has a popping kind of style while Jimin is a contemporary modern dance major. He is trained in it. I'm a shawol and army like they are so good you can't choose or compare like watch it for yourself. They have a live performance together

Happy belated birthday! 💜🎂 Even the fans don't know when a song drops how it will sound, what genre and what the message it is going to be. They have between them about 200 - 300 songs in almost every genre. They have entire mixtapes for free on soundcloud as well solo songs from all 7. Suga has produced Hitsongs for other artists. But all of them have written their own lyrics/songs with the 3 rappers having credits for over 100 songs each. RM has the most credits and even in the idol industry as a whole he has almost the most credits for his songwriting. But their true strength are their personalities, their strong group dynamics/friendship, their horizontal realationship with Army and the depth of their lyrics of which these two songs are not necessarily the best examples. Fun fact: If you watch their first MVs "No more Dream", "We are Bulletproof Pt.2" or "N.O." (all best seen on 1theK (has translations and is pretty much also official for their first work)) you would have trouble recognizing them. "D.N.A." is the main Single of the first of the 3 Albums that are known as the "Love Yourself"-Series. The first Album "Her" describes the falling in love for the first time with a "perfect" love. "DNA" describes this feeling: "fate", "written in my DNA", "must have loved you already in previous lifes" that stuff. But at the end of the Album the first misnotes are already forming, the first questions. In the "Tear"-Album it is first aknowledged that something is wrong even as there is refusal to know what exactly it is. In "Fake Love" it is laid open: The lyricist tried to be perfect for this love and denied their true selve. They are hurting badely but have trouble to formulate why that is before the tone changes and the relationship built on a lie of who we are rips it apart. In "Epiphany" it is aknowledged that we need to love our imperfect selves first before we can really love others (not only romantic but also platonic relationships: friends, family and others). "Tear" was their first Billboard HOT200 Number 1 Album. Dynamite (2020)... well... there are different reasons why the song was made and why it is in English. They helped change the lyrics but they did not write it. It was their first Number 1 song (first time for a Korean and only second time for an Asian) and including this one they now have 6 number 1 songs. Why the band decided to do it? Because Army was hurting: Covid had stopped also their tour in their tracks. You can see it as a homage to MJ. MJ's nephew has been happy for this song and MJ's drummer has a video up on youtube where he adds a drum to the song. The choreography is simple so everyone can dance it. Personally I like almost all of their songs: maybe you would like the 4 cyphers or "Ugh" to go off; or maybe "magic shop" or "00:00 o'clock" if you need healing. More Latin vibes? Airplane Pt.2 (or Filter). "Blood, Sweat and Tears" leaves you with questions and "I need U" MV is quiet shocking in the original version. Their (zombie) queen ballad is "Spring Day" but you may get more of on "Fire", "Not Today" or "Bapsae" (no MV for the last song, sorry). Or maybe their newer stuff "Black Swan", "On" and "Life goes on". I'm sure you would like their mixtapes: RM's "Do You" and "Joke" (you will have to search with "eng" because the originals don't have captions or maybe Suga's "Agust D", "The Last" (no MV) or "Daechwita" or J-Hope's "Daydream" or "Airplane". "Idol" and "Mic Drop" sticks it to their haters. Lots to choose from. You want smaller artist? Maybe *Enhypen* as they are pretty new: their first single was "Given-Taken" (at the end of 2020). Personally I'm fascinated with *Kingdom* who are even younger and a more unknown label. Their Albums are named "Road to Knigdom". Their first was Arthur and the single was "Excalibur". They have dropped their 3rd Mini-Album just now with Ivan and the song is "Black Crown". You nice! Keep going! 💜

A few must know things about BTS..... 7 members, 3rappers,4 singers. Fans are called ARMY ( and they are everywhere in the world, all ages, genders,and all races). There's no other KPOP group that can top them right now. BTS are different. They do it all. They started out as a hip-hop group and have evolved into what they do now. There are many interesting things about them. They continue to evolve and are always doing something different. They are the hardest working guys in the industry. They practice everyday, sometimes up to 10hours a day. Because they were rejected in the KPOP industry, their label ( Bighit) changed up how they were produced, and marketed .....they filmed EVERYTHING, they started making their own shows, which are sooooo good. There is a lot of content for BTS, even stuff from before they had a debuted. The youngest Jungkook was 13 when he started. BTS has made sure their fans know them. I hope that you get to know them. If you do, you will understand why they are number 1. These guy are remarkable. I like Taemin as well. But once you Jim in you don't Jim out. Most people will tell you to do " Mic Drop", and I'm on board with that. It has OVER a billion views and it's really worth your time. I hope that you will join in and get to know what the big deal is about them. PLEASE keep watching BTS and reacting. Captions always on. If you like rap I suggest that you watch "Daechwita" by Agust D (Suga from BTS).
