Don't feel bad, many an ARMY fell for the hat trick.....it's just that good !! Jk's got some slick moves lol. This, along with No More Dream ~~which you REALLY need to see, emphasis on REALLY, esp the famous dance break (Adam!!) were the first 2 singles....No More Dream being their debut song. It's interesting I think that they first tried to have somewhat of a "tough guy" image but their sweet selves always came through.....so this kind of image didn't last long ;) p.s. have you guys listened to Suga's "Seesaw" yet ?? It's my favorite Suga song, not counting the phenomenal Pied Piper, which Suga wrote but that's a group song, Seesaw is all Suga

When our babies were so tough (😂) and wearing fake jewelry/designer clothes.... They’ve come such a long way. So proud of them for coming into their own and never giving up!
@abbiea12375 жыл бұрын
Actually, thankfully our Bangtan Boys maybe came a long way being able to afford real designer (Versace) clothes, but that isn't what's important as much as how still to this day they are telling army to never give up hope & your own dreams, no matter what society or even your own parents say! Living their dreams and denying your own!! Even in RM's UN speech he still talks about the same thing to this day! Only now it's safer to do so! Back then in 2013 the old president of Korea was still in office! She wasn't impeached until 2017! Back then censorship was so prevalent, many were even blacklisted for saying what BTS said within their lyrics in even their debut song!! The lyrics in "No More Dream" is why BTS had such diehard loyal fans in army since the very beginning!! Is saddens me so how so many especially newer army have reduced this song to "cringy clothes" and bad haircuts! Lol!! Yes RM does cringe himself about how he looked but never about what the lyrics stood for! This song was one of the few that actually spoke up for all the disenfranchised youth who had no voice and many who had even given up, having depression & even suicidal! This song gave hope and the will to go on to many!! Since "what is your dream" sounds like 'make money money' in English and the MV from Ibighit doesn't even have the CC for English translation many misunderstood the meaning completely and even believe this song is about wanting material things which is almost just the opposite of what it's actually saying! If only BigHit would allow for the CC for English subtitles to be added! Such a shame very few are aware that only 1theK has the ever so important CC for English subtitles for international army to understand the tru meaning of the song!!
@jkim926775 жыл бұрын
wow, my comment was made as a light-hearted observation of this mv but I’m glad you provided a more in-depth explanation for those who may find it useful. Wish you were around to guide me a few years ago. It would have sped up my journey to becoming an ARMY😁. At first, I only watched their MVs to check out their amazing synchronized dancing. I used to think they were a cringy, lip syncing, K-pop boy group until ‘mic drop’ mv came out and accidently came across subtitles. That got me to rewatch all their MVs and my view of them slowly started changing. Then I fell down the rabbit hole and we all know how that ends. But it wasn’t until I got to know their backstory and each members that I actually became an army. My love and appreciation of the boys got me to change the way I hear their music and view BTS as a group. Hard to believe I once had nothing good to say about them except for their dancing. Although It took me 1000s of different content to turn this never K-pop, never boy group, middle age woman to become an avid ARMY ahjumma, for the past couple of years, I’ve been trying to recruit all my family, friends, and neighbors to join the ARMY. So far only 2 have become ARMYs. After I dragged them to the Rosebowl concert, I didn’t need to do anything else. Without seeing them live, It’s not so easy to convert my older, stubborn family/friends but if it happened to me, I know it can happen to them! 🤞🤞🤞

Frankly I'm always surprised no one ever comments on how quickly Hoseok falls into that ultra-flat position. His calves are as flat to the ground as his thighs are. He's also constantly doing death drops and other falls with no knee pads on (glad he wore them for Bulletproof performances around debut times, though). And now a tangent: I worry about his knees. I know Jimin has a lot of problems with his back, perhaps in part due to his tumbling; his dancing style is more "lifted," if that makes sense, so I understand why that's happened (and I feel awful for him). Street dancing, however, is much closer to the ground. If you watch HoTS or pay attention to Hoseok's dance breaks in BTS songs, you'll see he's always near the floor while Jimin is in the air. This is why I hope Hoseok takes care of his legs, especially his hips and knees. The behind-the-scenes special for Boy Meets Evil looked absolutely brutal. It is so sweet of Jimin to worry about Hobi so much during that flip. They are the best of friends. That dual fall/flip move at the MAMAs was incredible this year-so smooth it was like they hadn't aged at all. If anything, it looked better than ever. Always thinking about their health and happiness. Love those two.

BTS started out as a rap group, hence RM, Suga and J-Hope were added first, two could rap and J-Hope caught on and did it too. Jungkook can rap too! But, when Bighit changed the groups' concept to "Idols" all that changed. That's when the softer clothes came out, dyed hair, and PD Nim knew what he was doing. The reason why JK is called the 'Golden Maknae' - he is THE triple threat. He can sing, rap and dance extremely well. In early BTS songs, JK always raps =) There is famous saying when I just got into BTS in early 2014: "BTS has 7 main dancers, 7 vocalists and 7 rappers."

The reason I LOVE watching all of you guys react to these videos is that all your reactions to everything BTS you watch is SO MUCH like my own reactions were, when I sat here by myself binge watching all their videos I could find for weeks, a few years ago. It's so great to see you guys react like I did to BTS, it made me realize I had very good reasons to be blown away by them. Thanks for that ! Watching their videos the first times, around 3,4 years ago, I knew they'd be insanely popular very shortly because I felt much like I'd felt when I saw Michael Jackson do the moonwalk on a Motown show on t.v. sooo many years ago (long before the internet, home computers, cable t.v. or affordable video cameras entered our world, back when 3 main tv channels & one UHF station {if you were lucky lol} was ALL the world had.) I hadn't been so impressed by any artist's originality, vocal ability, dance abilities & entertainer ship (for lack of the right word) or the lyrics & music writing since Michael blew past so many others in his time to be MJ. He went on to forever change what music videos would & could be with Thriller & Bad,etc. When I first saw BTS, I was immediately TAKEN with them, just like MJ had impressed me & the nation, on to the world back then. So at 56, 57 yrs old I did what you've been doing & I watched all their content out there. I was seeing them go hard at it to learn their amazing dance choreographies, I watched crazy hard practices, saw how precise, hard working, dedicated, kind, appreciative, creative, relentless and multi talented they all turned out to be. Then I started to love these sweet boys, as people, perhaps due to that being a time in the U.S. when a crooked, spineless, soulless, draft dodger, a tax evader by fraudulent means, a narcissistic, fake rich jerk, a spoiled, brainless misogynist, chauvinist, racist, serial adulterer & pathological liar of an old white guy somehow was President while he suffered from delusions of brilliance nursing his addiction to 'likes' on Twitter, while proving he had NO ability to care at all about the hundreds of thousands his lies were killing. DJT was busy influencing everything here to go to crap. BTS's 7 shining good hearts stood in stark contrast to the disrespectful poison that had overtaken politics here, at least on the far right. I was surprised at how much of themselves they & their label allowed the world to see of their real selves, then I learned why BTS seemed SO different from other KPop groups ( an industry that had become pretty toxic for those hoping to become successful within it by that time.) The label BTS signed with was a small struggling label in that insanely competitive business of KPop, back when 3 big companies dominated all of KPOP. Then BTS rose to NUMERO UNO world wide, taking their label & it's owner with them. BigHit was run by a guy who had a different vision for a Kpop Idol group and he told BTS they were to write about their feelings, their problems, joys, ideas on what the youth of their generation wanted to hear, lyrics THEY wanted to put out into the world. Most all Kop labels until then, they directed all that and more for the idols groups they ran. BigHit giving BTS more creative freedom made so much difference in a hundred ways. Like you guys, the more I saw the more I really loved the music, the guys, their performances, their beautiful souls.. My grown kids must have thought i'd lost my mind when I started going on and on about a KPOP group and how great they were, but I felt determined my kids should hear their lyrics, see what is there. Finally I let go of trying to get them to see what I saw because I realized they'd come to see it all on their own one day & likely quicker without having opinions preformed by them, because of their Mom liking them.... can't wait til they do see what they are missing in these guys.

May I suggest that you look at some of the older BTS music videos because they didn’t start out like they are now that proves it, because bulletproof pt. 2., their actual debut music video was“No More Dream”, BTS did start off as a hip-hop group. the CEO of Big Hit entertainment decided that they should be more of a K-pop idol group but if you want to check out some more of their early stuff the above music video that I suggest definitely show their hip-hop roots. You also might want to check out this music video called ”N.O.” 💜&✌️

This was back when they were babies! God, I forgot how young they were... and looked! FYI, they weren't always the awesome singers they've turned themselves into today. That took years of dedicated hard work. Jungkook was their only for real/for real singer at the time, and even he's improved immensely. So, partly by choice - Big Hit thought to outflank the competition by giving Korea it's first primarily hip hop group - and partly by necessity - their most skilled vocalists back then were RM and Suga, both amazingly talented rappers pulled from the Korean underground - they took on the edgy look of a hip hop group. No one knew how they'd develop. No one knew that every danged one of them would develop into skilled vocalists in their own right. No one knew that they'd one day be able to go toe to toe, vocally, with boy/girl groups from Korea's 'big three' entertainment companies. But, against all odds, they emerged beyond triumphant. So it's fun to watch this again, with you, and remember humbler beginnings, knowing how the story ends in advance. Thanks for reacting, and allowing me to see this again through fresh eyes.

These are “baby” BTS gangsters! They came hard and confident. Eight years later they are smooth as “Butter”! These young men are hungry-hungry to succeed and they did! 💜🌷🦋🧈🥞

JK hat trick is legendary!! Also, you need to search on vids that show JK's rap skills. He can spit fire like you wouldn't believe. When BTS was just coming out, JK was actually a rapper. But he didn't what to just rap, so he went to vocals instead. Then became the Main Vocalist and Lead dancer. If you notice, in most of their videos from older to newer, the 3 main dancers are Jhope, JM and JK. That's why their known as the 3 J dance line. Those 3 are in the front, most of the time. Especially for the hardest choreo

BTs was originally a hip hop rap group but sometime at the end of 2014 that started to change to the BTS we know today.

Yeah, you're 6 years late but in ARMY we believe that we discover BTS in our own perfect time, when we need them the most. Veteran or Baby ARMY, Bangtan loves us equally. Better late than never indeed. 💜💜💜

Y’all should totally watch their debut song “No More Dreams”. It was the first song they did as a group just as hard and hip hop as bulletproof! Just got into your channel and love that you react to all BTS. Love these boys!

A lot of baby armys (not all of course) are so disrespectful and diss/hate on/ignore 2013 BTS. So many of them don't understand that the BTS the world loves today wouldn't exist without 2013 BTS. You don't have to love the style of music but respect it and respect their struggles during that time and the hell they went through to rise to the top. - A veteran army (fan since pre-debut)

I always laugh when people see the hat trick lol. I love their early videos and in this one, as impressed as I am with Jimin, the way JHope just folds his body and falls is always facinating to me. I think I'd just hurt myself but he looks like he just ...I don't know know how he did it.

Rract to N.O. next! It's a very underrated song, but you'll see it's worth more hype and appreciation. The message in that one especially..... I barely see artists willing to speak up abt the downsides of commercialized education and societal pressure as the do.

BTS' Korean group name is "방탄소년단" which means "Bulletproof Boy Scouts" in English. If you watch them in Korea variety shows or music shows they will always do that hand gun gesture to introduce their group. If they are in Western they will just say "Hello, we are BTS!" When BTS were rookie and we/ARMYs doesn't know our fandom name, we call ourselves "Bullets" 😂😂 Edit: Hope you react to Make It Right ft. Lauv

Sooooo, Did anyone mention that this is their SECOND music video/dance practice?.....No?....Okay moving on. It always amazes me how much V, Jimin & Kookie have grown over the years. Puberty was heavenly to them by the way, Lol. V was 16, Jimin was 16 & JK was 15 years old during this era which is crazy. Sometimes I watch their old mv's & cry because they've come so far from being ridiculed to being the kings of the world. And I am so happy n thankful that you guys are experiencing what we already knew. 💜💣💜💣💜 #ARMYMeansFamily
