@@ygsprincxss333 Those translations are "fast food" translation. The faster they are out the more hits you get. Which is why they often have misstakes/are incorrect. It's especially funny when in songs you can hear more than one voice but the lyrics vid only shows the "louder" voice. It also creates false narratives. Once I was so amused about the outrage that one member supposedly sang almost nothing when he sang in harmony quiet often and was one of the members who sang the most. It helps when you scroll over the first few hits and use a vid with less views/younger vid as the likelihood of correct lyrics rises. Yes, RM is the leader. RM and Suga were underground rappers and JHope was a street dancer and B Boy dancer. Fun fact: the original Chicken Noodle Soup song was one of the first songs JHope did an entire dance routine to and that is what made him realize that he wanted to be an entertainer. Him remaking Chicken Noodle Soup with his own spin on it was like a full circle moment for him. That's why he gave the original artists ALL of the royalties from the song and he gave her 2 Million upfront. Had he not have listened to that song and got inspired to create a dance to it as a kid then he might not have known that entertainment was his passion and became apart of the biggest group in the world in today's modern era. JHope also had another full circle moment when his favorite rapper JCole featured on his song. His rap name JHope is a play on JCole's name that's how much he loves him as an artist. He even named his first solo project Hope World which is kinda like Cole World (JCole says Cole World all the time). You guys should watch some videos about their backstory. Nothing was given to them. They worked from the bottom and climbed their way up against all the odds. Everything they have was well earned. These cyphers were a response to their haters specifically one certain Korean rapper who had so much to say about them doing Kpop now instead of only just being unknown underground rappers in Korea for the rest of their lives.

One thing I love about BTS' rap is that they don't call anyone out specifically. There are times when you know who they are singing about, but they aren't going to name names. They typically call out a general array of people who criticize them, and in the beginning it was because people placed them in an 'idol rapper' box. When you listen to their newer songs they're stating they no longer care if people think of them as real rappers or idol rappers, cause they are going to win the game by being exactly who they want to be. Some of their newer songs focus less on critics and more on society. BTS aren't interested in petty rap wars, they will speak their piece to haters and move on. One of my favorite notions they put out to haters is, "I hope you stay healthy, so you can see how big my career gets".

BTS have interesting group dynamics. These 3 rappers were the first 3 members. When the 4 vocalists came in to join the group, the 3 rappers acted as mentors and teachers to the vocalists. In their memoire, they mention how the rapline started a hiphop school with morning hiphop dance lessons by jhope and evening music lessons by rm and suga. Then the 3 would sit at night time and show the vocalists various aspects of hiphop music by playing the legends for them. So what we got in BTS are 4 vocalists raised with hiphop attitudes, they have the same beliefs as the rappers, like writing your own music, believing in authenticity and speaking the truth. If you look at their individual music specially the korean ones you can see that authenticity. I hope you check out bts albums cus thats where the cyphers are from. There are more songs on their albums that explain their 2013 year old selves who were struggling in the industry. Their lyrics and everything makes sense in the timeline of their albums.

The others have said that this cypher was dropped in 2013. But the important thing here is that they were all teenagers at this point. RM, J Hope were 18 and Suga was 19….. Also about RMs bar of being a third generation leader. He’s talking about k Pop generations. So acts who debuted in 90’s were first gen, 00’s 2’nd gen and since BTS debuted in 2013, 10’s they’re third gen. Currently of course there are 4’th gen idols as well having debuted in 20’s….

My favourite cyphers 2 and 3 but performed live cypher 4 is something special to hear 60,000 people chanting I love ,I love ,I love myself. It was made as a great audience participation Rap. You cannot imagine the feeling in the stadium. RM was known as Runch Randa in the underground scene from 13 years old. Suga was known as Gloss which is a rough meaning of his Korean name Yoongi. He also started at 13. When they became idols they were viciously publicly attacked. Told they were not real rappers anymore. Called girls for wearing make up on stage. They denied their underground credentisls and were generally disowned even though they both said they were looking to make a bridge between mainstream and the rap scene. Suga came from a poor background and said he was tired of having to make a choice between eating and a 3 hour walk home because if he ate the cheapest thing he could not afford the bus. He had been writting songs and working in a studio from a young age, tried to sell his songs but in the end was ripped off. RM, Suga and J Hope are all full members of the KOREAN COPYWRITTERS ASSOCIATION. Suga says thats the flex. All of the other members have multiple credits, but the Rap line are the only full members. Suga has won awards for producing other artists. He is BTS main producer. RM main lyricist. Every member of BTS performs composes, writes, produces and dances. The reason they are still a group 12 years later is the rap line encouraged the vocal line to write their own songs and develope as individuals. Almost from the begining the members had solo work. Hardly anybody reacts to RM DO YOU ENG SUBTITLES. when it comes up you have to still press cc

The Most Beautiful Life Goes On (2023 Update) by the Rice Squad is still my recommended video if you want to get to know BTS as a whole and the context in which K-pop comes from (considering that you guys seem interested in the cultural aspect of their music). With you guys being rap-focused, it would be nice for you to see the beginnings of the group, including their rise to the world stage, how much they've achieved, and the variety of their musical styles and talent. I know it's not perfect but it's quite cinematic, informative, and it's narrated as well. I appreciate the Taylor Mari guide (as is always recommended) but it focuses more on each member's characteristics and less on the actual group's music. Maybe you guys could get to this eventually, once you understand just how attached ARMY are to BTS as musicians, artists, and human beings :)

I LOVE the cyphers bc through 1-4 you can see how they all progressively get better and lock into what is their individual rap styles.

Hi dears. 68 yo Army (BTS fan) here. Eventually you'll have to react to the definitive BTS guide...."A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7" by Taylor Mari...just like all the other reactors had to...lol. Armies love "the guide" and never tire of watching reactions to it.💜

They actually started out soft in Cypher pt 1 compared to the next ones. 😅 After the Cyphers you guys should definitely check out Hip Hop Lover/Phile where they pay homage to all their rap heroes and inspirations. If you know Hip Hop you'll recognise the names and works and that these guys know their sh_t. 😏😎

The rappers of BRTS or the rap line in BTS are of another level, their references are Eminen Dr Dre Jayz Kendric Jcole, that is, real ones from the old days. that's why they are so incredible rm is a boss in the composition depth suga they have all the fire to address the enemies and jhope of the strength that really the 3 are incredible, I will only say that bts are very great professional artists they always give the 100 of his fans make music by vocation.

Rm has a solo song called "Do You" from his first mixtape, and it's about his struggle between hip hop artist and pop idol. He basically is telling people to do what they want and how they want to. Not to let people put you in a box. One of the lyrics mocks people saying that wearing skirts is not hip hop, basically saying you have to dress a certain way and act a certain way to be something which is not true and rm goes on to say "are you more hip hop than ASAP" since ASAP has always tried to break those negative stereotypes. Bts as a whole always talk about self-love and self-acceptance. That is why so many people love them. I definitely recommend you check out "do you" by rm. Some bts recommendations : Born singer live Louder than bombs Black Swan music video ON kinetic manifesto film Hip hop lover live I think those songs will help you guys get a better picture of who bts is! Also, if you want to, you can always watch a guide to bts by taylor mari

As you go from cypher 1 to cypher 4 you will observe: 1- the evolution of jhope's artistry 2- how bts goes from dissing haters to indifference because they had already proven themselves.

I really enjoyed how you instantly got what RM was trying to say with the Runch Randa line. BTS debuted in 2013 with the hiphop song bashing at Korean society called 'No More Dream'. As they've already celebrated their 10th year anniversary last June, there is a lot of content to go through. As they had been working and creating many group albums (the rap line also creating their mixtapes) non-stop up while touring up until 2020. Means that there is huge of amount of discography, I don't expect you guys to go through (unless you want to). This does mean that we can actually follow their growth as artist with each new album or project. What I'd like you to be aware of is that in these 10 years that they've been active, the seven members have changed and grown a lot. Both in their music and in their mindset. The youngest member is currently 26 and oldest members (including the rapline) are nearing 30 years or are past it. Their current music feels much more mature and gives a better vision of what they now want portray to us the fans or the general public. Every album is a gem, which I hope you guys may check out if you ever have the time for it.

7:00 This first cypher is from 2013, off of their 2nd mini album ORUL82? so this is 10 years before they entered the military. They actually have a song they released as a free track from that year called Adult Child, where RM, Suga & Jin rap and sing about the burden they were feeling at the time of coming of age, having their physical exam and knowing they were "uselessly" healthy since that meant they would have to serve. This isn't a choice for them, and I very much doubt RM would take pride in actually killing someone. He's always left his pen to do that.

Jin will be out of the military in June 2024 and Jhope will be out in October 2024. The rest of the members will be out June of 2025. Once you check out all 4 Cyphers, there is a great live medley where they do one verse from each Cypher 1-3 and all of Cypher 4. Definitely check out their song "Hip Hop-phile" where they mention their inspirations. They love old-school hip hop. Also, keep in mind that this Cypher was from 2013.
