Hey guys! I appreciate your appreciation for my boys! I feel like a proud parent as you make your way through these MVs & DPs that show the awesomeness of BTS. I’m sitting here like “I know, I know, YES, right, you got that, you saw that, amazing, right?!?” And you don’t just watch one thing and then say “well, that was pretty good, now let’s watch blah blah blah, etc;” you take the time to NOTICE bits & pieces that go by so quickly, yet it involves things that were specifically made for their choreography, things that BTS worked hard to perfect for our entertainment, so yeah, every little bit is important! They’re especially known for their synchronized jumping, which is very evident in this particular piece. There’s the part where they all jump, then a second later they jump again, and even if you just listen, don’t watch, you won’t hear even the slightest extra sound of shoes hitting the floor, none of them is off by even a millisecond. And imagine how difficult this is to achieve, when you have guys who are different heights, with different leg lengths, different musculature, yet they all can coordinate their take-offs & landings to be exact! Of course, this represents many hours in the practice room. If you watch the video WHO IS BTS? THE SEVEN MEMBERS OF BANGTAN, you’ll learn more about who is who and how they came together, and they talk about how they would eat, sleep, dance, and practically live in the practice room. But that’s what it takes when you want to be the best! BTS is also unique in that they write lyrics, compose the music, and do all the producing themselves, or at least 95% of it. They tackle some usually prohibited subjects that deal with societal problems, like the high rate of suicide for ages 10-19 in Korea; in fact, there’s a high rate for all ages there. I think I read somewhere that there are an average of 40 suicides a day in Korea. They also talk about personal experiences with depression, social anxiety, etc. I mean, it’s not all darkness and gloom, but they talk about things that people of all ages and nationalities can easily relate too, that’s why their popularity exploded worldwide. There are many stories of people who say that BTS helped them get over a rough patch, etc, so people are relating to them on a very personal level. Combine that with pure talent in singing and dancing, and you’ve got a phenomenon in the world of entertainment. Only two of the boys had any background in dancing, JHOPE came from street dance, and JIMIN attended the school for the performing arts, excelling in contemporary, modern dance and hip-hop. But NONE of them had any training in singing (and now they’re the most popular boy band on the planet!). If you watch that video I suggested, you’ll learn all their stories. I’d recommend going back and watching their debut and other early videos and especially the dance practices. The original concept was for them to be extra thuggish, which didn’t fit these baby-faced teenagers, so the first few MVs are kinda cringey! But focus on the dance practices for NO MORE DREAM, WE ARE BULLETPROOF PART 2, N.O, BOY IN LUV, I NEED U, and RUN. Then move into JUST ONE DAY, SPRING DAY, NOT TODAY (lots of “days!”), WAR OF HORMONE, and on & on. Another thing that makes BTS different is their storyline that weaves & continues throughout many of their MVs that need to be watched in a specific order. This is a FICTIONAL storyline; the events did not happen/are not happening to the boys in real life. They are acting in these videos as characters who just happen to share their names (!). The storyline goes through several “Eras,” following their album titles. The first era is called HYYH, which translates as THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MOMENT IN LIFE. The MVs are to be viewed in this order: I NEED U (19+); PROLOGUE; RUN; and YOUNG FOREVER. Then comes FIRE, SAVE ME, and then you’re ready for the WINGS Era! However, it’s not necessary to follow the storyline (called the BANGTAN UNIVERSE) if you just want to enjoy their music. By the way, BANGTAN means “Bulletproof,” as their name (Bangtan Sonyeondan) in English means Bulletproof Boyscouts, and their early logo was a bulletproof vest. Meaning, they weren’t going to let what other people said about them knock them down. To learn what they’ve gone through as a group, I recommend the FROM NOBODIES TO LEGENDS 2013-2017 (Part 1) and same title but 2013-2018 (Part 2); both videos created by the KZbinr xCeleste. Very well made!

something to add to this, I should've mentioned in my first comment....in case you don't know, Jungkook is the youngest in the group but he is also the strongest. This handstand is just one example, the slow roll in Not Today is another ~ in War of Hormone he actually carries Suga on his shoulders and in No More Dream he carries Jimin for the length of the boys as they stand in line, then later more back up dancers are added in some live performances and he carries Jimin the entire length, and sings immediately after, acts like it's a piece of cake!! (Sorry it's a bit long) Their Wings concept (the album which Blood, Sweat and Tears is from) is based on youth/boys falling into temptation and losing their innocence. This is a good continuation of their overarching concept of youth from their previous era, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, is centered around the idea of a reckless and carefree youth that leads to growing up and falling into temptation (you can see this in the I Need U and Run videos which I would really suggest reacting to!). So in TMBML we saw the boys at the prime of their free-spirited youth and hints of their downfall. Now, in Wings/Blood Sweat & Tears, we will witness their fall & one interpretation of the different ways adulthood tempts the freshly matured. The part where Namjoon (RM) Starts speaking english in the MV (the scene where its a red screen and Seokjin is holding a balloon) is a part in a book by Hermann Hesse called Demian (If you can find it I would highly recommend reading it... it's an amazing book to say the least) Edit: Also..... for pretty much all of this video they filmed on special made sets for them... Y'all should react to the behind the scenes for the making of the bst MV!

Hope someone explained to y'all that just like with Fake Love, Blood Sweat & Tears is part of the big story line they have been putting out since 2014/15 and that the whole Wings (album name) era is loosely based on the german book Demian by Hermann Hesse. The individual trailers for their solo songs and this MV all tell a story that has symbols and images from the book and that also play a big role in their overall BTS Universe story (MVs, trailers, Intro videos, comeback stages, their webtoon, Notes inside the physical albums, a whole ass book that came out this year, etc.)

BST Fun fact: Dkdktv did a “top 5 BTS songs of all time chosen by a music critic”. (7/2021) The music critic said when this song came out he was in the military where girl groups were more popular. But this song was one of the few male groups that all of a sudden became popular in the military. He said they were very impressed with JK’s slow dolphin dive specifically in the second chorus as it requires a strong core. He states “so when I was in the military, if you could do that move you were considered strong and healthy. If you couldn’t do it, you’d receive hardcore stamina training.” Danny asked if they really made you do it. He said that yes they were all told to try it at least once.

I love your reaction, no one spoke about the meaning of the Blood Sweat & Tears MV, it comes from the book Demian by Hermann Hesse, Try to see the theories about it, it's really an amazing one.

This video is part of a story told through a series of videos during the Wings era. There are alot of theories and some really good compilations that tell the storyline and it still isn't over.

I feel for you guys, because their is so much to understand about BTS. They put meaning behing every song and storylines, you have to appreciate these young men and their mentor Bighit (Bang PD). Bighit has let these boys be their own individual selves, so we have some amazing songs that let their fans know they suffer some of the same problems in life. BTS gets close to their fans, by letting them know who they are problems and all. There is so much you have to go back to the beginning, I have been with them since 2014 so I know how much these boys have suffered and dealt with. But they still stayed strong, much of their pain is in their songs and you will see how they matured through their years. Bts let their fans see the ups and downs through the years, they are on a personal level with the fans. But at the same time they wanted their fans to overcome any negativety in their own lives, to be in a more happier life. Not to be somewhere in life that you can't handle, mostly to be happy with who you are not what you have. Love Yourself, is what BTs wants for their fans and themselves. Mostly to Be Happy, no matter what you have or where you are at in life.

Thank you for keeping the intro short and to the point. I'm subbing for that alone.

You have to watch their Wings album MVs from the beginning. The entire album is pooling from and building on the same tale and using detailed inspiration from the story of Icarus. Read up on the Bangtan Universe or ask us ARMY.
