This is the first time I've seen a reactor so blatantly and openly spending time on his phone during a reaction. I think we've all seen reactors take a quick glance at their phone to see who texted....but this was to a whole new level. Dude...my time is valuable too you know.

After seeing JIMIN being all touchy, this dude wants to know if any of the members are gay. Honestly, we don't know, we don't care. ARMY loves them no matter what. They kept their private live very very private, because some crazy fans did crazy things (like suicide, stalking, harassment) when there were rumors of them dating. We think that they are or have dated, it reflects from the lyrics of their songs. In Korea its normal to hug, eat out of one pot and even shower together (bathhouse). The touchy these guys are being is nothing compared to others. Having lived 12 years together, they are now more close like siblings. In Caribbean we siblings are also so close. East Asians are also very affectionate. Even French people kiss each other on their cheeks. Only Americas are so distanced, rough and rude to your own friends and family. Sorry, but i said what i said. Should have raised kids with love, respect and affection and maybe there would be less troubled teens (suicide, gender issues , drug abuse etc.) and school killings. The last was not a hate comment toward you guys, just an opinion on what we see every day on news about america.

Ok, I'm going operate under good faith that you are genuinely asking and not trying to be offensive. So let's go through your questions in no particular order: 1) Do they have facial hair? Yes, they generally shave right before their performances. It's not considered the "aesthetic" for idols (popstars) to sport facial hair. Occasionally they'll go live late at night or when waking up and they're various levels of scruffy just like any other man. 2) Do they have partners? Who knows. We know that they've never had a dating ban in their contracts. ARMY has a philosophy of treating them like human beings rather than celebs, and you don't generally just go up to someone you barely know and ask them about their sex lives. They dodge those questions in interviews saying they're too busy. It's none of our business. 3) Marriage/kids in Korea: It's less common for people in Korea to get married before the man has completed his MS. They generally wait until they're older and it's common for young people to live with their families for much longer than they do in the US (ie, you don't move out at 18). Right now, Korea's population is declining. People aren't getting married and having babies. 4) Yes, they did actually leave their families and move to Seoul to become trainees. They would rarely see their families. They lived together in that little room, then a slightly bigger room, then a really nice place for about 7 years before they started buying their own apartments. They call each other family. They're not exaggerating. 5) "They're always positive". Eh. Maybe? They don't want to worry ARMY. They have worries and get stressed, just like any of us. They've all talked extensively about the pressures they're under, their worries, etc. We just normally don't hear about it until long after its passed. 6) Touchy-feely: Different culture. You see a lot more of men being friendly like that there, less of mixed groups being like that with members of the other gender. It seems odd to Americans, but our culture is more than a little toxic in its views of such things. 7) Do they drink? Yes. Suga has a whole series revolving around interviewing people while drinking (Suchwita). Jin makes traditional Korean alcohol. A lot of their vacation series resolves around them sitting around and BSing with a drink. 8) Drugs/sleeping around/partying: No, that would completely kill their careers in Korea. They don't go to any of the US award show after parties where that stuff runs rampant. Will that change after their service? Who knows, but the media has never caught them in any scandals (and believe me, they actively try to find dirt on the guys). 9) Re cooking/cleaning: You have to remember that they were very poor for a lot of years. That mentality sticks with you, even if you end up getting ahead. Plus, I think some of them just enjoy it (cooking) and it helps ground them. BTS has brought light and joy into a lot of lives, but they receive a lot of hate from a lot of different sources. ARMY gets protective of them especially when we can't tell if you're genuinely asking questions or if you're being facetious. You'll get along a lot better with all of us if you don't ask questions just for the lols.

Respectfully real army doesn't care about their personal relationships we don't ask about girlfriends or boyfriends. They are family they had to leave their parents to be in the group and train so they've grown up together also did they do drink in Korean culture drinking alcohol is a large part of the social infrastructure. One of the members has his own drinking talk show. So much so public intoxication is not a crime is South Korea. It's considered a sickness. On the other hand drugs are highly illegal even weed is highly illegal in Korea if they are even known to have smoked it in another country they will be arrested straight off the plane. Same for any South Korean. On the closeness they all had to leave their families in order to train at the company to become a kpop idol while they were trying they only had themselves. The oldest ones just about raised the youngest ones who joined when they were teenagers. The closeness is very normal in South Korea and I don't mean this in a bad way but in America men are tough more toxic masculinity than is in South Korea

So prejudiced.. my God!! These guys watched a 1h video about the career of these artists and in the end the discussion was insinuating about whether they are too close in a gay way or if they have wives at home??? Bro, the first thing you need to learn is to have respect for cultures different from yours. We like this group because they are talented and send a positive message to the world, their personal life is nobody's business. Please, if you want to continue watching BTS, choose videos about their message as an artist, or just don't watch it. They really don't deserve the hatred and prejudice they receive.

BTS don't have any type of toxic masculinity so yes they will show their affection and true feelings about themselves and each other. I recommend for a 'reaction' video please tell your friend to put the phone away. We love to see people getting to know BTS, learn that they are more than just what you see in music videos, they're real people with great personalities who are still humble to this day about their success. So it's disheartening to see people not pay attention when the whole point of this video is to learn about them. you were right when you said they are a "BROTHERHOOD" Like a group of soldiers that went through very rough times, their bond was formed in sacrifice, hardship, hard work, resilience, and their love of music. Regarding their touchy feeling behavior, that is part of their culture. What you are feeling is "culture shock". My advice is to consciously leave your preconceptions of the music industry if you decide to continue to learn about BTS and ARMY. Please remember that there are a lot of haters that pretend to be ARMY with the objective to give a bad name to BTS. True ARMY only wants a respectful reaction (we know that you won't like all their music) just listen with an open mind and ARMY will watch. Thank you again for giving them a chance BORAHAE PS. ARMY has learned to keep BTS privacy as private. They already share so much with us that we just want them to be safe, healthy and happy doing what they enjoy. I know it is hard to believe this but if you continue to watch their videos you will eventually understand why.

It's culturally normal for men to be affectionate with close friends, especially brothers. It's not all men in Korea like that, but it's definitely not considered "weird" or sexual. Westerners tend to make it weird because we're not used to seeing guys show affection that isn't immediately sexualized. It's an "us" problem.
@AliceBunny05

it is really unfortunate. people gripe about the high rate of depression and loneliness in men but then they sneer or condemn them when they show a healthy, deep connection with other human beings just because they're the same sex. affection, physical touch, care, etc is beneficial to most people. not just girls or between romantic couples.

Honest critisism for the guy on the right (I'm sorry I don't know your name), since he asked for it at around 49:35.. I think we all would appreciate it if you'd actually pay attention to the thing you film a reaction to instead of looking at your phone for half the video.. other times you purposfully distracted your partner from the video with like tapping him for no reason (ex. 44:03).. I don't want to tell you what to do, but it comes across as uninterested and it's a bit disrespectful to the video creator and your viewers.. we are here for your reactions and thoughts, not for watching you play on your phone and make some side comments, when you don't even know what was happening in the video.. honest critisim overall.. I'm a bit sad that you cut the video up a lot.. 🤷‍♀ hope that was respectful and honest enough written for you, so that I don't come across like a "cult member" as you called it.. 😉💜

I've found that the most successful reactors on KZbin tend to be the ones who understand that respect and positivity go both ways. I appreciate that the guy with the tattoos seemed to making an effort to give a high-quality reaction. The guy in the hat, though, alluded to the people watching his video as being in a 'cult', was on his phone a lot, and used the phrase "our fans" at one point, which probably reflects on his true motivation for doing these. At the end of the day, people simply don't want to have their time wasted. Viewers tend not to stick around if it's clear that one of you is only doing it for views.

Hi guys! Regardless of some comments, I have decided to watch your reaction anyway and I do not regret it. I hope you will find a time to read my comment and you will find it helpful. 1. Yes, they lived together. It is normal that once you are signed to the agency you are becoming a trainee. Agencies are recruiting trainees around the country, some even outside the country. Trainees and members after they debut live in dorms. Someone clarified it below, but I will mention it again. I Korea they count age differently and JK actually was 13 when auditioned and just turned 14 when he left his family to live with other members. They cook, clean, do laundry etc by themselves. Jin as the oldest member would be getting up early to prepare lunch boxes for younger members, who still attended school. They are still humble and if you watch their live streams or shows you see that they would clean up after themselves, so the staff members don't have to. They are not members of the group or friends, they call and consider themselves as a family. 2. They would possibly get a little bit of free time last year, but they still would be very busy with their schedules. Before that... it is a mystery how they were able to find a time to rest. They do write their songs, they do produce their songs, they have extremely hard choreographies, magnificent performances, concerts, interviews, shoots etc etc. At some point, they would work 28 days a month. Occasionally there are rumours about them dating. We don't know and we don't care. We wish them the best and happiness. They deserved to have a private life and be respected. 3. In Korea Christianity and Buddhism are the main religions. 4. They did not have only some struggles. They had big struggles. It is down not only the fact that BigHit was really small company, without any influence or power to promote them in the industry and at some point boys were even asked to leave dorms as they could not pay bills. It is a whole story, you can watch the video 'Hardships of BTS' for some aspects. 5. People love they, because regardless of their success they stayed humble, they advocate love to others through self-love, they are open about life struggles, show that they are the same human beings as we are, with the same feelings, with the same dark thoughts. 6. They drink and be themselves. It's another stereotype that they broke. Normally idols try to create a perfect picture of themselves. BTS stays true. Lastly, I wanted to thank you for your reaction. I understand that some Armies got irritated by a person on the right checking the phone. More than irritated I'm a bit worried as he looked sad and troubled. I hope everything is ok. I understand that you may not understand many cultural references and I'm grateful for keeping an open mind and simply asking the questions. I wanted to say something else... and forgot what it was, sorry 😅 Edit: just remembered. Obviously, all BTS members are attractive men, but that is not the reason why someone becomes ARMY. In fact, 30% of fandom are males and most Armies are above 30. Try to watch 'Jimin effect' for fun and having that in mind, remember that simple appreciation for one's beauty doesn't make you gay.

If you watch the "Hardships" video, you may understand ARMY better. ARMY have stuck with BTS through thick and thin, and have watched the boys get abused, even to this day. BTS tries to always be positive, but ARMY will fight to try to shield BTS from any and all negativity, perceived or real. However, most true ARMY will be patient and try to help reactors learn why we love BTS so much. There's a lot of cultural differences, occasional language barriers, and even hate from their own industry that ARMY have witnessed. Plus, people are people, and everyone has an opinion. I personally have not always been happy with some of your comments, but at the same time, I know that it's a journey and you are learning, and I honestly appreciate that. Additional info: by their international ages, the boys started living together, away from their families, from ages 13 (Jungkook) to 18 (Jin). They went through everything together...practicing, eating, sleeping, arguing, performing.....and consider themselves as family. Although it's slowly changing, culturally, the genders stick together and are more touchy/feely with each other. On camera, you can occasionally see males flinch if they accidentally come into contact with a female because they have boundaries and respect for each other. However, you will often see the fans try to pair the boys up as couples. They keep their private lives private, so we can only guess about girlfriends. (One kpop idol from another group said something like 'I'm a 30 year old male, you think I've never been in relationships??' So yeah...we honestly don't know.)

Just one correction - although it's common for kpop idols to be contractually forbidden from dating, BTS never had a dating ban (they also avoided quite a few other common restrictions). They were advised not to date during their debut era, as Korean media/society has a strong stigma against idols dating and it could have created a big scandal for them. Nowadays I'm sure some of them will be in relationships, but they still choose to keep their private lives very private, and I think that's for the best! I'm sure they just don't want all that attention and scrutiny into their personal relationships!

This video doesn't delve into the immense sabotage BTS endured (and are still dealing with to this day). From day one, it's been attack after attack to the point they have almost disbanded, wondering why they were trying to so hard when everyone was just dumping on them for it back home (and now around the world), and the real villains were getting away with so many shady things behind closed doors. All that hate stemmed from the backlash of BTS being "nobodies" from a bankrupting company having the audacity to surpass the Big Three acts -- the Big Three were the biggest kpop companies in the industry at the time. The Big Three had a stranglehold on the music scene and media that would promote their artists in South Korea and Asian in general. If you didn't come from those three, you were a D-lister who they would tolerate and used as filler. BTS only debuted as one such filler when another act dropped out of a lineup, but after that they were regularly cut from broadcasts or had their time slots shortened/cut off. As BTS gained popularity through genuine interaction on social media (which was not something "idols" did -- "real idols" would never admit their flaws in order to preserve the fantasy of perfection), the fandoms of other groups mobilized and organized to make smear campaigns, death threats, and everything they could think of to sabotage any success BTS found. The attacks hit hypdrive in 2017 when BTS won Top Social Artist at the Billboard Awards. The industry CRAPPED ITSELF and suddenly all the kpop acts are doing the same online social media strategies that BTS had done without any sort of agenda. But BTS was already moving on to their next inspirations and leaving them all in the dust. Soon after that win, the Big Three companies responded with their own attempt to compete with BTS globally: - SM put together their Avengers of Kpop (taking the most popular members of existing groups and reforming them as a new group) - YG went into beast mode with BlackPink, putting them on the same talk shows, circuits, and award nominations that BTS had already gone through - JYP set out to find other writers/producers who would create their own work (like BTS) and formed Stray Kids -- which is a great group that was allowed to be authentically themselves Before, during, and after all that, BTS was attacked with: False allegations of chart manipulation (when they barely even had money to buy food let alone pay anyone off), false allegations of plagiarism (to attack the fact that BTS was authentic and honest in their work, and the things they "plagiarized" were ubiquitous concepts, fashion, and moves regularly seen within the entertainment industry), false allegations of misogyny (because why not get hysterical over nothing?). The list goes on. People sent pictures of corpses to V, along with death threats, because he cried when his beloved grandmother passed away. A Twitter smear attack on j-hope trended worldwide, saying he should be kicked out for being ugly and untalented. Death threats on RM and Jimin were in regular rotation. Anyway, the Big Three companies to this day hold major sway over Korean media. They continue to promote Big Three groups as these mega stars while downplaying or finding sour grapes about whatever BTS does. And now those Big Three are REALLY salty that BTS's parent company HYBE is bigger than all Big Three *combined*. Because of aaaaaaallllll that history, fans (usually younger, saltier fans) can get hypersensitive and defensive. It is pretty frustrating when people assume the superficial aspects of BTS are their only allure, but there's a nice way to correct people. It's really just a maturity issue, and BTS's fans range from the young to the very old. Anyway, I'm sure someone will recommend a hardship video, thought the ones out there don't really get into the details of how they were exonerated from each bogus claim.

Being affectionate and touchy touchy is normal. Its part of their culture. They're truly a brotherhood. They support each other even each other's solo projects. They do truly care about each other. I think it all stems from when they started out. The company was close to bankruptcy and they all had to work hard and support each other to keep the group going. With that, they had to pull each other up. Of course they have arguments and fights but their rule is to talk it out. What's good about it is, they stayed humble even with all the achievements and success! Don't worry about the toxic people. You'll have that in any fan base.

We do not know or care about their love lives. I’m sure they have normal adult relationships, but it’s not our business, and we don’t pry. We don’t know if any of their sexualities. All I know for sure is that JK and RM have both talked about fucking in their solo albums. They are far from innocent. But again, they are 30 years old. Who cares what they do. They lived together for 13 years - 13 years of being with each other almost 24/7. They say they are closer to each other than their biological family. Yes, as an American looking at their closeness, it can be a culture shock, but this is our Puritanical society rearing its ugly head. In Korea, physical touch between men is perfectly normal. It is common to see men hold hands or hug each other. It has nothing to do with sexuality. It’s just a way to show your closeness and affection. What you won’t see in Korea is PDA between opposite sexes. You don’t see people making out in public or hanging on each other, because actual sexual affection is kept private. It’s just a different way of looking at things, and I don’t like to judge other cultures. BTS all drink, although V drinks less than the others. Suga has a drinking talk show on KZbin called Suchwita, if you are interested in checking it out. They do not do drugs. Drugs in Korea are viewed very negatively. If you get caught smoking one joint, you are going to do time. They don’t play around. For this reason, artists in Korea seem pretty straight laced by American standards. It doesn’t help that BTS is so popular that their every move is watched closely.

All 7 are actually in the army right now and doing exceptionally well. V made the special forces, Jin and J Hope are instructors, Jimin is in a tactical division. RM is playing sax in the militairy band thankfully we were worried about the god of destruction near live amo especially as he passed through training at the top of his class. Jungkook would have qualified for special forces but you are not allowed visable tattoos. So he has always enjoyed cooking and lifts weights. So he chose to be a cook( by the way its not mentioned here but he is also a black belt). One of the most consistently physically active jobs. Suga failed the medical because of his shoulder operation and could have got out of his military service instead he still enlisted and they put him in the army welfare department. As for any fears they were ruthlessly exploited on their hilarious reality series RUN BTS. One reason they aced their army training was they had already trained up to 20 hours a day. Been drenched, humiliated, worked seamlessly as a team, seemlessly, competively given mind, games ( nothing gunnier yhzn watching world wide stars fighting over an ice cream or ecstatic becsuse yhey eon z rice cooker, and been cured every fear by repeatedly facing them. Frightened of heights, management zip line across this valley.

Just a small correction) Jungkook and Namjoon, in addition to cooking and playing in the orchestra, also train like other soldiers. These are not their main activities, but just as an addition. And Jungkook probably just helps in the kitchen, otherwise he wouldn't have had more time for anything, and he wrote that he trains a lot. I just added it💜

Most people who hate BTS know nothing about them. It's sad that they are disliked because they don't speak English and aren't from the west. It's important to note that ARMY is very protective of BTS for a reason. Since their debut, they have been attacked, looked upon and sabotaged. ARMYs were attacked individually and as a group as well. Till this day, the Industry (SK, US and even international) diminishes their achievements, sabotages their efforts and only reports about lies and rumors in the media. You have no idea about how much hate BTS members and ARMYs have had to put up with. Other fan bases actually team up to try and sabotage them and gang up on ARMYs. They are disrespect everywhere. And a lot of people try to make money while doing so You should watch XCeleste's 'BTS Hardships (2013-2021)' video or Boracity's videos. You'll understand a bit more why ARMY tends to be a little sensitive when it concerns BTS

It said at the beginning that BTS shared a one room dorm! They all lived together for 9 years! They weren’t millionaires at first they had to work long and hard for what they’ve achieved! Unlike other idol groups nothing was handed to them! They didn’t go home! They were 24 /7 with Big Hit when they went in as trainees to being selected for a group! So technically by our age standard JungKook left home at the age of 13. He really had a hard adjusting to not being able to go home! But the others took care of him! They are a family!! That’s why Army is so protective of them! Not trying to mean just want you to understand how real Army feels about the boys! We love for more people to discover them and are more than eager to help when we can!

Remember they have to share one bedroom for all 7 of them. So they didn’t get to go home. All of them originally lived in other towns. They were young teens up to their early 20’s. Jungkook was 13 years old (15 yo in Korean age) when he joined BTS. So the guys basically raised him. Edit: So ARMYs are extremely protective with BTS. Whenever someone says things disrespectful about them ARMYs will say something. We don’t mind if you don’t like a song. We don’t expect you to like every song. As long as you are respectful with the way you say it, then you are good. They are like a family. They’re brothers. They lived together for so many years. They are very close. Yes they drink alcohol. Suga has a talk show called Suchwita. He invites guests over chat and have a drink.

This guide is a must for everyone that want to know more about BTS and I will watch it again and again with new reactors. Seeing people discover BTS and why ARMY love them so much is my favorite past time. So much has happened in the last two years though, so hopefully we will get a updated guide from Taylor Mari soon. I heard something about her making additions to it for when the members all come back in 2025. Also there is so much content, it's gonna be difficult for you to know and understand everything in one guide. And don't mind the haters, all fandoms are bound to have some toxic people. You just be respectful and react with an open mind and an open heart and ARMY will be respectful back.💜 Oh and as a side note. They are not always happy go lucky, they can be absolute savages, they just put their discontent in their lyrics, as you will find out if you continue to react to their music.

Helpful hint for the guide: Not sure if you know.... Korean people counted age differently to others... Korean Age vs International Age - difference is 1-2 years depending on if their birthday has been.... In most older videos, including this guide, they are giving Korean ages so you will need to adjust. The members were only 13-18 years old when they joined BTS and 15-20 yo when they debuted. In Korea when you are born you are considered 1 year old. Then on lunar newyear every year you add another year to your age, no matter what your birthdate is. .... Year of birth - International age at Debut on 13June13 Jin 1992 - 20 yo Suga 1993- 20 yo Suga started with MIDI at 11 JHope 1994 - 19 yo JHope started dancing at 8 RM 1994 - 18 yo RM started rapping at 11 and was well known in the underground scene at 13 Jimin 1995 - 17 yo V 1995 - 17 yo JK 1997 - 15 yo he signed with big hit at 13 Rule of thumb - if it's before their birthday - subtract 2 years to get international age. if it's after their birthday - subtract 1 year to get their international age. The Korean Government has recently (June28 last year) brought in international age as the standard in Korea, but all older videos/ interviews/ shows, will be referencing Korean age. 💜Have a great day

To explain about them leaving home to join the group - in Korea the entertainment industry is entirely localised in the capital city, Seoul, so if you want to be successful you really have no choice but to move there. However none of the BTS members grew up in Seoul, they came from different parts of Korea. Since their families couldn't afford to move to an expensive city, the boys had to move by themselves if they wanted to follow their dreams. That's why they shared an apartment together, which was rented by the company. This is fairly common for kpop idols or really anyone in the Korean entertainment industry who doesn't come from a rich family.

Thanks for reacting ! I find it weird that you guys had so many negative comments, Armys usually are pretty positive with new reactors (except for some negatives one but it's usually a minority), especially when you don't know anything about BTS or Korea or Korean culture etc... So I'm really surprised you had to deal with such negative responses (unless you said something really REALLY disrespectful which I don't remember...) Anyways to answer a couple of your commentary : - The members are from all over Korea so yes they had to leave home for Seoul. They were trainees for a while before they debuted and even tho BTS had a lot more freedom in creativity compared to usual Kpop system, they still choose to work just as much if not more than other groups to be the best version of themselves. So that means they still "sacrificed" their youth to get there in some ways. Their hard work was insane. Also, they do NOT have free time. At least not before 2022 (when they started preparing for the military). BTS had a full schedule for 9 years and some of the members recently talked about how they could not get a single day off at some point... - Like you said, the members are not just co-workers or bandmates, they built a family. They lived together and worked together and created together for a decade straight. Now they often say that BTS feels just like (if not more like) a family than their own families. If you get to watch their recents interactions you'll realize how they literally act like brothers. - BTS might promote positivity and self love most of the time, but they do speak about real darker things in life. They have whole albums and storylines about mental health, depression, psychological concepts, societal issues and many other not so positive themes that are part of life. They do have that positive aura as individuals but it does not mean they act oblivious to the problems in life. They speak loud and clear about these and it's what makes them REAL. - The group didn't get "a little trouble" getting where they are... They got SABOTAGED so many times and even NOW, as the biggest group in the world, they get sabotaged frequently. But that's the world we're living in unfortunately. 🙄 Despite all of this, they kept working and building this relationship with their fans. Now to answer your questions : - As far as we know, none of the members have partners or children at the moment. And no relationship was made public during their career. We, as Armys, respect that and their privacy and we do not look further for more information regarding their private life. - As for your questions about how close they are, you already know that the culture is different when it comes to behavior between guys and stuff. But more than this, think of them as siblings. Literally as brothers. They've been through SO MUCH together that the bond they developed became way more than friendship, it's fraternity, brotherhood. So "how close are they" ? I'd personally answer : as close as brothers can get. - Do they drink alcohol : they definitely do. I know Kpop groups might be seen as the picture perfect guys/girls and to some extent it can be but BTS is way past this picture. Since the moment they've been of age to drink, they never shied away from talking about their alcohol taste. Off or ON camera, during group lives or solo lives or on their shows as well. One of them has a drinking show on KZbin by the way ! It's called Suchwita, it's hosted by Suga and he invited a lot of people including all of the members individually (it's a pretty good way to have some insight on their relationship). Enough for today ! Keep up the good work guys 🫶

ok I know it's not exactly the point of the video, but from some of the things you said, I think it's sad (I mean that in a sympathetic way) to see the contrast with how a lot of men/boys in the west feel like they really can't express emotions and can't be friendly and supportive with each other. I've seen a lot of male youtubers have the same reaction to this video, because over here it's just so rare for men to be allowed to be sweet/nice to each other, it seems like you'll be judged or bullied if you open up, and even if your friends are nice it's still somehow embarrassing/shameful to open up, and hard to get over the anxiety... I think every culture has good and bad points, but I really hope this is something our society can work on, because men/boys deserve to be able to cry and get a hug when they're upset! And they deserve to have close friends who can say "I love you man" or "hey I really care, tell me what's up" etc. For me I feel like watching BTS has shown me a positive way of how men can interact with each other without so much judgement.

yeah, it's one of the benefits of consuming content from other cultures. things that may be stigmatized, looked down on, regarded as weird, etc are usually pretty culturally dependent and there's often nothing really wrong with those things, so if you look at the people from a different region, they don't have much if any stigma about certain things that you might. It helps broaden peoples perspective that just because you're told something is weird or wrong, doesnt necessarily mean it is. It encourages you to look at the full picture of why something should be wrong or discouraged if it isn't hurting someone else or yourself.

The organizations behind donation campaigns are typically driven by individuals who genuinely care about the cause. There are numerous official NGOs and campaigns supported by entities like UNICEF etc where donated funds are effectively directed to those in need. Additionally, the charity initiatives shown on the map were organized by BTS fans themselves for various causes. You mentioned Mr. Beast as an example, and while his efforts may primarily serve his content creation, it's unfair to judge everyone by the same standard. Many fans engage in these efforts out of genuine concern, particularly amidst ongoing global conflicts. Regarding the message of positivity that BTS promotes, the majority of fans do strive to embody it and have expressed how BTS inspires them to contribute positively to society. However, positivity doesn't imply perpetual happiness; it's about resilience in the face of challenges and being open about struggles, as BTS often reflects in their lyrics. Fans' occasional criticism may stem from a protective stance towards BTS rather than genuine negativity.

You have to remember something when reacting to people from different parts of the world. Their values, habits may not be what you are used to. What is considered rude here may not be considered rude there and visa versa. Just respect that there are cultural differences and let it go. Yes, they drink. As others have said, Suga has a talk show and guest always bring something for them to drink. If you think about the rappers, you will answer your own question about if they are as straight edged as they appear on camera. They are normal men. They aren’t perfect, but even with all their fame and money they are still very kind, very humble men. Hope you get to know them better. If you want to understand the dynamic between ARMY AND BTS watch the video by xCelests about their hardships. Jung Kook was actually 13. They counted age differently in S Korea until June, 2023. And yes, they left home. The boys are from all parts of S Korea. JK and Jimin are from a coastal town down south. Yes, the boys show their vulnerability and emotions, but believe me they are not above coming around and jabbing at each other. They are really funny. If the one guy wants to be in his phone, it would be better for him to just be off camera so we can’t see his indifference. It’s really frustrating to see someone on their phone when we are abt to watch them get to know and appreciate BTS. 😊

I can't understand why knowing if they're married, if they have girlfriends or boyfriends, or if they drink or party all the time has anything to do with what was shown in the video. In Korean culture, men being affectionate with each other is a common thing and it's not frowned upon or strange, nor does it imply that they're gay (as it seems you were trying to say but didn't because you already know you'll be hated). Just like wearing make-up is common for artists. They are like family to each other, because they started living together very young and for a long time. They've been through so many bad and difficult things (which this video doesn't show) that they could only count on each other. They had to leave their families in the cities where they lived to move to Seoul, where the company was located, where they lived, trained and rehearsed for hours on end. Another fact: ARMY fans are not just women, as you implied, they are people of both genders, of all ages and races. When they donated to the Black Lives Matter organization, they didn't know that the money wouldn't go to the right people, so you can't criticize them for that. I'm not here to hate, but to clarify things. Don't be like those you also criticize who aren't open to other cultures and habits. I hope you continue with your work and become more understanding of certain issues. Sorry about the long post, and I didn´t said all I wanted 😊

28:59 lol. You should see their variety show where they often betray one another for a bag of chips. They forget theyre millionaires all the time. 29:14 they are a family for sure 32:19 yes. They leave home, coming from all over korea, to Seoul to live in a dorm. Did you miss or forget the beginning when she said "all members shared 1 bedroom in their small dorm"? The members were between the ages of 14-18 or maybe 19. The ages shown in the video are Korean ages not international. Also, you mentioned 9 to 5, its more like classes end at 11 and thats not counting the after hours work the members put in. And if theyre in school the have to go & then come back and work. Jk was in middle school. RM & Suga would stay up til dawn producing in the early days, back then they did most of the songwriting & producing 38:55 Christianity & Buddhist mostly 41:23 they have their down times but when 1 is down theres 6 other guys to build them back up . And if more people could be like them the world would be a better place. 💜 45:09 it adds something to the experience when you see them live. Watching them dance like crazy while singing is insane. Not just young women, people of all ages and genders. Im 51 :) An honest but respectful criticism, please pause if youre going to talk over the video. I find it sad that it looks like you missed a lot of good the ARMY does when you guys have had such a sour experience with ARMY. You should watch the BTS hardships video by xCeleste to understand why we are so protective of them. 1st in a fanbase as large as theirs youll get people are not so nice in their criticism but the majority of us really arent that bad. Well they appear "super close" because they are brothers and don't have a shred of toxic masculinity in them! They are super intelligent, loving, caring, humble bunch of human beings. A bond like theirs is super rare to find these days!

BTS are very private about their personal lives, and I think as fans we should respect that, we don't know them and are not entitled to their personal lives :) BTS do share a lot and are open and vulnerable with their fans, but they keep their family, friends and romantic relationships private so we don't know who they have dated or when etc, they share what they want to and we're fine with that. It can also be scary especially if the people around them aren't celebrities to be platformed like that, even other celebrities say they feel intimidated talking to bts because they're so famous, this has also made it hard for bts members to make friends as some of them have admitted. And from all that we've heard bts are literally the kindest people ever. Their classmates from back when they were in school, staff they've worked with, other artists, even a cleaner on set who one of the members helped out have all said that they're just as kind and genuine in real life and have been that way since they were kids. One of Jimin's elementary school classmates after meeting up with Jimin again even said "He made me realize fame doesn't have to change people, if you're a good person you will remain a good person" That doesn't mean they don't drink or smoke etc, (they have gotten drunk on camera often actually) they're just genuinely good people.

They all produce and write song both for themselves and/or other artists, but the rap line (RM, Agust D and J-Hope) are their main songwriters and producers and do the most work outside of the group for other artists. RM has 230 song credits to his name right now, Agust D/Suga has 168 and J-Hope has 144 credits. In comparison to the rest of the members they do a lot more writing and producing, for example Jungkook has written and produced 22 songs, which is still a significant amount. Also, bts don't always credit every single member who worked on the song, only the ones that did a significant amount of work for it. In comparison they credit outside producers a lot easier. For example a songwriter got credits for translating two words into English, while a bts member can come up with the bridge for the song and core melodies and gets no credits, I assume since they are more chill with that when it comes to each other.

I like your comment.🙂 My theory regarding contributing to each other's songs on occasion, is that they help each other for free.🙂 Anyone outside of them, they are paid for their services. BTS is a family. Would any of us charge a family member because we helped them with something?🙂

Hello guys, first of all I want to thank you for continuing to respond to our boys, I am really captivated by how sincerely you try to delve into the details and figure out what you don’t quite understand yet. Secondly, if you want to learn a little more about the path that BTS took on the way to their success, then I can recommend you the video BTS hardships 2013-2021. I think you might also like some funny collections, for example, Namjoon being done with everything, drunk BTS is the best BTS and the like. And of course, you should definitely watch their live performances, I would pay special attention to MMA 2019, this video really blew everyone’s minds💜💜🤍❤‍🩹Thanks again for the reactions💜🤍❤‍🩹 P.S. I can’t answer for everyone, but many of the army defend our boys very fiercely due to the huge amount of hatred towards them, if you watch the video from the recommendation above, I think you can better understand why this happens❤‍🩹

Army take on the our boys. They have struggles not just from the beginning but still until now. We true ARMY respect reactors who are respectful. We accept constructive criticisms but no to disrespect. They lived together since trainee days and just got their own places recently Yes they are still touchy feely until now.And it's been said before that they hit each other when they get angry. But the great thing is they resolve things all together. A conflict of 2 or 3 is resolved by 7. We don't delve into their personal lives. They just broke the rules of toxic masculinity. These are brothers, you should try to learn their journey. They drink and they drink on camera We don't mind, they have been very honest and let us know how they are since the very beginning. We just accept and love them as they are. If you learn about who they are as persons I assure you. They are 7 of the most wonderful people I have ever known. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 These are my 7 boys. I hope more people be like them

I'm glad you reacted to this video! There are a lot of cultural differences that might seem "odd" to some people at first, but I think army will guide you though this as long as you're open minded and genuine about this. I'm gonna be honest and say I didn't love every aspect of your earlier BTS reactions, but it seems like you're becoming more comfortable with BTS and willing to give them a real chance and I appreciate that. In regards of them being very touchy feely I think it has to do with their culture, but they're also very much like a family! Personally I think that's pretty normal and natural. They keep their dating life private and army respects that. Looking forward to you next reactions!

BTS have partnered with UNICEF (United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund) since 2017. Since then BTS and ARMY have donated 6.6 million dollars to UNICEF. Oh...and I'm sorry, but I can't tell you how much of that "actually went to the people"... but I'm fairly confident that it was a substantial amount.

You can also make adjustments and take corrections like in the case other guy being on the phone. Borahae

Let's just say that ARMY is a massive group of people and you will, statistically speaking, increase the odds of having negative/cult-like/weird people. It's just numbers. But just like you can't judge an entire religion/race/whatever by a small sample you've witnessed, ARMY are not all like that. People are just more likely to comment negatively on the internet as a whole, especially if you give them ammo.

The members are very private about their romantic relationships so we really dont know who they are dating and most of us fans only know what they reveal to us. We also don't assume their sexuality. The boys are very openly affectionate with each other which might shock people who aren't used to that kind of interaction among friends/family. The 7 Members have always stated that they worked hard to get to that level of closeness because in the beginning, they were all strangers to each other and they had to learn to get along/be in sync as a group. We love them for their amazing music, wonderful messages and their personalities. ARMY is like a cult but that's not a negative thing because we are not a monolith. The fandom is made up of people of different genders, different cultures and nationalities and different ages. What we all have in common is our love for the boys but we dont all blindly follow what they say or do. Like all fandoms, there are toxic fans but they dont represent us as a whole.

You guys seem so skeptical about BTS which I love because if you decide to go down this rabbit hole then you watching you change your mind and be blown away will be so satisfying. BTS are like the Swiss army knife of music, there really isn't any genre or style they can't do. I am a 55 yr and I have never seen a group like this in my life. Also, the more you watch, you will come realize that the music transcends language, culture, genre and all the extraneous stuff will seem trivial. BTS is a family, they call each other brother and talk about their brotherhood all the time. I hope you stay on the BTS train for a while because these boys with their amazing music and talent, joy for life, open hearts, and high emotional intelligence have the power to change your whole life perspective.

Also they are actually in the military daft the Army to be specific the first member Jin actually gets discharged in Juney and we are army it stands for adorable representative MC for youth. Thank you guys for reacting! 💜Army’s a little protective just cause of what these guys have had to face. We had to watch! It was uphill all the way for them. They’ worked their butts off, for years, they’d win an award, then get accused of something! Everytime! And the fan wars & haters, it’s vicious over there. And too Because their company was poor, no clout, little opportunities…what they did was amazing! they were underdogs! Overcomers! And inspirations to us who were struggling! And we saw what quality work they were producing. It wasn’t just blind fangirl stuff. Or a cult. Im 61. I don’t fall for that stuff. I think we just knew what they put in, & wanted to see em respected. That’s all. They are talented, hardest working, go above & beyond to provide us quality stuff straight from their hearts … but mostly they are good people…it’s so rare…. & Army just wants to see them rewarded & not ruined by the hate out there. Ty again… 💜

I won't teach manners to grown people, but just to let you know, we really appreciate open minded and genuine reactors, you don't have to like everything but this was different. To the guy on white headphones, thank you for at least paying attention, to answer your question about the touchy2 even though they're grown men. First is it's just different from the culture you know, it's not that odd there. Second, they literally grew up together for like 12 years since they were young so they're more than family than simple friends or colleagues. I'm actually quite glad they are not afraid of showing affection & closeness. They've been together through thick & thin. And for their sexuality, as fans we don't care. It's their life. Their happiness is what we want most, i just hope all fans feel the same. As one of the member already said, it doesn't matter to those who matter.

32:37 Yes, they had to leave their families and live in the dorm at a young age. Jungkook was only 13 when he became a trainee at BigHit. So basically, BTS and their manager were the ones who raised him. Jungkook has actually said many times that they raised him. Jin even drove him to school. Jimin and V went to the same school together.

Watch what you want how you want and folks need to be respectful & have manners when a guest in someone else's home or they can start their own channel and be frequented by commenter's just like them. BTS taught me about skinship. You should look into it. It's so beautiful. Skinship is bonding with others through physical touch. That's why they're so affectionate with each other. I wish we had that in the states. It's so toxic here, and BTS is the opposite of toxic. They're so admirable and impressive.

When I first discovered kpop, about 6/7 years ago....I was warned several times about kpop and kpop fandom toxicity. I honestly did not see or experience toxicity myself until, Exo's Chen, publicly announced (with the support and backing of both his Company and group members) that he was getting married and was going to become a father. The majority of response/comments that I read were horrible and mean. I cried, hoping that poor Chen and his loved ones weren't reading them too. I don't understand the reasoning behind a fandom thinking that they can dictate another person's life just because they support that person's career. Neither do I think that the Companies should dictate that much of an artists life. But I understand why someone would agree to the Companies terms in order to pursue their dreams. To answer the gentleman's question: as far as any of us know, publicly, none of the members are dating. No girlfriends or boyfriend s, yet. In kpop there is a thing called shipping, where fans publicly support the "Idea" or "hope" of a romantic relationship between members. Not all fans agree with this....most just ignore it. Many South Korean Entertainment companies don't allow their Trainees or Idols to date. They are expected to maintain squeaky clean public images. I seem to remember BTS members have mentioned that they don't feel that trying to have a relationship while being in the entertainment business would be fair to the other person. That they are to busy to maintain any kind of relationship outside of family and friendships. As I saw mentioned in other comments about culture shock and toxic masculinity....pretty well explained the "touchy- feely" question asked. Fun fact: the two members that disagreed probably the most out of all the members, Suga and V, would hold hands with each other until they worked out whatever the problem happened to be. I loved that. I have three younger brothers and I can't imagine them holding hands. They would probably kill each other before they would by pass toxic masculinity long enough to even try holding hands. Anyway, Thank you for giving the group a chance. I know your getting alot of negative comments but your still new. Just let the negativity pass on by and it will get better. 💜방탄소년단 🇰🇷 𝓑𝒯𝒮 ⟭⟬ is a family.💫 💜 🇰🇷 방탄소년단은 가족이다. 💫 💜(bangtansonyondaneun gajogida.) 💜ARMY 🤝 🪖 ⟬⟭ is a family. ✨💫 💜🤝 🪖 ⟬⟭ 아미는 가족이다. ✨💫 💜🤝 🪖 ⟬⟭(amineun gajogida.) ✨ 💫 💜Together 💜⟭⟬ 🤝 ⟬⟭💜 we are a 💜World 🌎 Wide 🤝 Family!🫰✨💫🫶 💜우리는 함께 월드 와이드 패밀리입니다! 💜(urineun hamkke woldeu waideu 💜paemilriimnida!)🫰✨💫🫶
