Fun fact. Shawn Stockman (Boyz 2 Men) went to his 1st BTS concert in 2019 where Jimin performed Serendipity. He loves it so much he did a cover of it in Korean! He shared how the concert was one of the best he had seen. He was impressed with how wide their discography is and their amazing talents.

RM wrote the lyrics to this! In Korea they call this song a lullaby for babies. It can tame the unhappiest of babies and help them get to sleep. I have trouble getting to sleep myself and have used this song on repeat many nights to help me get to sleep!

I’ve seen this performance live maybe 3 times? The first time which was the last LY tour in Thailand and it started pouring when jimin performed this!!! And omg he did not back down… he ended up walking towards the rain towards us to show that he’ll be in the rain with us too!!!! Here's info that some still aren't aware of: ❤️JIMIN, born October 13, 1995, at age 11-12 started studying, performing, & competing (winning every competition), in hip hop, popping (excelled), & street dancing, while attending the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan where he's from! He was so good that an instructor even had the high tuition fee waived at one point! This was while also attending middle school, where he loved sports, being quite athletic, joined the football team, excellent at track, great at basketball, & billiards! Jimin also, all throughout his schooling, was known as a top scholar, achieving perfect scores, especially in math & science which just always came easy to him! Jimin was even class president for 9 yrs in a row! Jimin, all throughout his schooling, was also quite good in art class, as well as calligraphy. Jimin, then also took up contemporary dance. The media, after seeing a performance of Jimin's performing at a huge Busan Festival Event, called Jimin "The rising star of Busan"!! JIMIN also studied ballet & traditional Korean dance while attending Busan High School of the Arts. Jimin still went to Just Dance Academy to take hip hop classes whenever he could because his first love has always been hip hop, even though he was now majoring in contemporary! JIMIN even had an offer to dance overseas, but declined because he also wanted to become a singer since the 2nd grade, to the dismay of one of his dance instructors who said "The world of dance was going to lose a great artist"!! So Jimin then went and auditioned for BigHit Entertainment, (company BTS is signed with), being the very last member to join, being a trainee for only a few months (which is unheard of for most Kpop idols), as opposed to the 2-3 yrs of being a trainee the other members had! But Jimin was so good that he was assigned the official title of one of the two Main Dancers, as well as Lead Vocalist. Jimin was even assigned most of the high notes since the very beginning, because even without all that training in the beginning, he was that good, a natural born singer who, just like his dancing makes you feel every emotion and feeling he's trying to convey! JIMIN, also, for 8 yrs, since a quite young boy, trained in various forms (4), of martial arts: Taekwondo (Blackbelt), Hapkido, Kumdo (Korean form of Kendo), & Chinese martial arts. He even won a scholarship, the only student to do so, to study more extensively in China for awhile! 8:20 scared and worried because the universe is jealous of the love being talked about in the song. That particular verse reminds me of Edgar Allan Poe's poem Annabel Lee. The part where heaven is envious of his love with Annabel Lee (totally disregarding the background of the poem, just the poem itself). As you might have read in the lyrics, the song talks about destined love that some people might not approve of.

Just so you know, Love Yourself:Her is just the appetizer of the Love yourself series. You have such big expectations and although Her is delicious it’s still just the appetizer and I’m afraid you will be disappointed. Love Yourself: Tear is the main course, and Love Yourself: Answer is the show stopping dessert. What is so special about Love Yourself is the story it tells collectively. But you can’t see the full picture yet just by listening to the first album. If you see what I mean. HER is just the prologue, and it’s impossible to see how the story will end just by reading the first chapter.

Loved the video Jim, if I can give one tip for your journey with this series is to keep in my that it's a series with a final goal, so the beginning is necessary, people tend to overlook LY:Her but I personally think it's a great album and perfect introduction to the concept of the series. Also the song is short because it's an intro, but it has a full version that is longer!

The full-length song has a nice bridge in the final third, so this is just the slightly shortened version (I wish they'd just used the whole song for the MV, wonder why they didn't, haha). Also. It's so good to see you pick up on the line "You are I, I am you" and not just with a 'romantic' take but a whole spiritual/collective consciousness take. The fact that you believe it and yet don't know why... you just know it or believe it - that's really nice to see. (Because we're led to believe that we are too divided in this world for any of that to be true - but it is true. It's a nameless truth that includes everything and everyone).

Serendipity is beautiful! I don’t if someone has pointed it out to you already, but the song is also completely gender neutral, which I find really cool. It only uses I, you and us. In fact, all bts love songs (I can think of) from this point forward are gender neutral. Looking forward to seeing your thoughts on sunday! Keep in mind LY is a series with a narrative beginning, middle and end (similar to the youth trilogy I suppose) - I believe this album sets the scene for what comes in Tear and Answer really well while also being a good standalone.

"You are me, I am you" Soul Twins, we're all connected. That's been my way of thinking for a long time now. Explains why some of us have the same thoughts or ways of thinking and the same reactions to experiences. It's easy to say you feel the same as others but when someone expresses themselves using the exact same unique wording that you yourself thought; that's a whole different level of it. Some of us can see it better than others. I think those of us who are more in tune with our emotions and empathy can feel it more than those who close themselves off. Tbh this song represents star crossed lovers, there is ever rarely an eclipse so their chances of meeting are one in the millions, and just by being able to see the moon keeps him shining, but he longs for close relation. The moon often says no, because even when there is an eclipse of a false meeting they never truly meet, they'll always be millions of kilometers apart, but still Jimin wants to love them

This song is short because you are watching the trailer. There is a full version that is longer. For their each album there is intro that gives the whole album theme and usually solo & short. Also outro sums up the whole album theme and maybe solo. So they take turns covering intro solos. I'm not sure if the dream team told you or not but this trilogy follows the different phases/kinds of love in life....so Her is about first love....when you are so euphorically in love that you believe that it must be fate or destiny for the two of you to love each other...so the first album has that sort of concept....but as we grown and experience new things as humans, we learn that love is a much more complicated endeavor than destiny/fate/puppy love/first love/etc...enjoy!
