What Jin was saying in his speech about disbanding happened the beginning of 2018. So they were already worldwide, but they considered breaking up.

They considered disbanding becuase they were strugling with the fear of falling in free fall after getting so high and huge and the burden / responsability they now have by being role models and having so many expectations on them. But they found strength among each other and if I remember correctly, Suga even said "What a blessing that we are 7 and can rely on each other"-

and ARMY wasn't aware that they had even considered disbanding until we all saw Jin's speech at MAMA (which, if you don't know already, is the BIG end of the year awards show in Korea)...so ARMY was SHOOK & we are all so thankful they decided to stay together =)

They were just starting to get well-known then, but they already went through too much to get there. Again and again, nothing had been easy for them ......... They were uncertain how much more they could do to keep up ....... Finally 2018 and 2019 turned out to be the turning point for them.

The song is by the vocal line only, no rap....another classic song by the vocal line only (and my all time favorite BTS song ever) is called House Of Cards. I discovered these amazing young men on Sept. 13, 2015. I was instantly hooked. I never imagined them soaring to these heights, but I couldn't be more proud. I'm an older Army (65), and love them with all my heart. They are so VERY talented, selfless, amazing human beings, and I hope all 7 achieve every thing their hearts desire. Being an older Army, I don't have others around me to enjoy them with (I'm kind of made fun of), which is why I watch videos like this. I found then on september 28, 2017. I still remember that I was on the school bus my sophomore year after transferring schools because I moved to live with my dad after some events happened with my mom. I remember there was someone who said " you find Bangtan, when you're at the lowest point of your life.." I think a lot of us ARMYs have in common is we found them when we were at the darkest phases of our lives. In my case, a friend had sent me their newly release mv that Time in 2017-- it was Spring day. I have no idea what that was , during that time, I was suffering miserably because a precious person in my life had passed away. I was grieving, my friend along with a very long comforting message, had pm me a link, and told me to lift my spirits up. She told me it was a beautiful song and remind me to turn on the cc because it's in a different language. And I did. I still remember like it was just yesterday, how tears flow non stop, I couldn't even focus on the video itself at that time because my eyes were so focused reading the subs, that I was bawling, having cold feet. The words I needed to hear at that time, was said in the most beautiful song I had ever heard. I think I could remember that memory until I die. After that I started listening and reading their translated songs... it grew in my heart and soul.. their music had healed me. It was a truth I won't ever forget in my whole life.

What’s most heartbreaking I think is that the time they were considering disbanding, for the sake of their own mental health, is all the beautiful moments, memories and music that would’ve never happened: Love Yourself: Tear and Answer, Persona and the entire Map of the Soul series we’re in the middle of, the Grammys, the stadiums, the tour, the simple dumb trends and jokes shared on Twitter, those funny looking dolls, BTS World, so many BTS Run episodes and Bangtan Bombs and so so much more.. it all almost never was

Thanks for the reaction to this, always enjoy new fans seeing their journey. 2016 was a rough year for ARMY, I’ll never forget the toxicity online (especially from one specific fandom) it was rough being a fan. I’m not confrontational but my mere existence (the existence of any ARMY) online invited trolls/antis/haters to attack without any initial talk. Any thread with BTS would have these types of people commenting to spread their hate. It was disheartening. Their first Dasaeng was emotional for all of ARMY. Every time I see their reactions I tear up like I did when I first experienced it. In 2016, I deleted my twitter twice before deciding I would have my social media but take the high road as I knew BTS would want of their fans. Their music really spoke their opinion and “haters gonna hate”. I can’t wait for your next reactions regardless of what it is 😊 I also can’t wait for the 2019 video (No pressure on xceleste 😅). So much more has happened this year that have propelled them. Can’t wait!

I fell asleep but watched first thing this morning .I love your reactions because your genuine caring for our boys. Thank you for watching this. I've been waiiiiting! :-) Haters still hatin' It is sad really. At the time they were accused of buying their own product to affect the ratings, they didn't even have enough money to pay for extras and equipment for MVs.... they used staff and staff vehicles.... and before that, BigHit was virtually bankrupt.... they didn't have enough money to do much let alone buy up albums to affect their standing in the charts. There is a behind the scenes of them preparing for the UN speech, including one that has the english subs. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly encourage it. Its a really good song and they sang it during the love yourself and speak yourself tour :) The things that army is holding during the concert is an army bomb ! Basically a lightstick that can be bought during concerts. We put the army bomb on the bluetooth of the concert and the people that takr care of the concert choose the colors of our army bombs during the perfomances. @@WhatchaGot2Say honestly there is nothing quite like being at a BTS concert and seeing all the ARMY bombs colored in sync to the music, it is incredible!! Also if you don't know, the color purple is a very special color for ARMY & BTS. I forget V's exact quote (sorry) but I know it was he who pointed out purple as the last color in the rainbow and it now symbolizes the love between BTS & ARMY....in fact a common phrase used these days is "I purple you" and you will notice lots of purple hearts used in ARMY comments =))

"The world would not have benefited from everything that they've done." I've watched this video about 100 times, but those words stopped me for a second and made me pause. I think back to who I was 4 and half years ago. How I lived. What I thought about myself. My lack of enjoyment in life. The mother who raised her kids and always did her best but couldn't give them that spark of life. These guys changed me. Not just a little - they changed my whole outlook on what I wanted in life, and thereby also changed my son's lives and the lives of hundreds of students I've taught since that time. Wow. It’s exactly why all the people should watch this video. Lots of people think they are a new boyband but the truth is they worked so many years for that what they have today. I’ve seen some saying that they’re too popular and we have to notice other new groups. They have to put some effort into their work too. Nothing comes easy, Bts despite all the hate towards them never gave up and they still work hard. ( I’m not saying other groups don’t work hard but all takes time to pay off right?) They considered disbanding becuase they were strugling with the fear of falling in free fall after getting so high and huge and the burden / responsability they now have by being role models and having so many expectations on them. But they found strength among each other and if I remember correctly, Suga even said "What a blessing that we are 7 and can rely on each other"- (Sorry for my english)

Jin meantioned that at the beginning of the year (2018) they thought of breaking up. What breaks my heart about seeing V crying was that in late 2017 he lost 2 friends from suicide; Lee Ui Soo, a model in October of 2017 and Jonghyun of Shinee in December of 2017. So, I can't even imagine how his mind was at that time and how that may of effected him during that time. So, seeing how he reacted when Jin spoke, broke my heart.

"And with this, the value of our existence is enough" that's when it hit me very hard because I realized it sort of goes both ways for me and for a lot of other people -unity, as you said. For me BTS has become my little safe head space. Art has been the only thing keeping me together for about 5 or 6 years, and BTS's art is the most complex one I've seen, so I respect them just because of this. But even more so, their message is really important. I find comfort in their message about social issues and injustice(something that has been causing me a lot of pain) and the whole Love Yourself era was so powerful. Finding peace and strength in yourself is very hard and it is all up to people to deal with it themselves, but BTS gives a nice little push in the right direction and they created this huge environment that is a positive and helpful place to be in. They are so open and real that it makes it easier to slowly accept myself too. One of the things that I will never forget is when Suga said that it's ok to not have a dream, just be happy. I first heard it when I was struggling to find a dream. Me, the kid who was almost way to dreamy and confident and ambitious all the time - I find myself slowly growing back into that, but it still is a challenge. Seeing them grow and develop makes it easier though, because I know now that I will grow along the way too. Most importantly to me, they showed me that even though the world is cruel, I can still be me and succeed. I can still be soft and dreamy while strict about my goals, and if I try hard enough, people will eventually see that. I was afraid I needed to change so much about myself in order to succeed, but now I think I should just let myself grow but not change. For this I will always be grateful to BTS, and their happiness and achievements make all these lessons true, which is why I said that this goes both ways. They truly are something else.
