It was unappreciated, BTS received backlash because they talked about the education system in Korea and most adult did not like it. But BTS stood to what they believe in. To create music that sends message, songs that can heal and comfort without being afraid of the hate they get. This is the main reason why I stan BTS, they don’t just release pop songs or hit songs. They release songs that are full of meaning, their artistry is just amazing.

@NaBi_13073 жыл бұрын
fun fact : BTS were HUGE from the day they debuted! They were the best selling rookie group back then (They were on the charts along with big names like BIGBANG). Everyone noticed them and the fandom was getting bigger slowly. Just watch their first Kcon performance in Paris (2014 ), the moment BTS stepped on the stage, they turned that kcon into a BTS concert. They had both Korean and International fans. Why do you think that they faced ALOT of discrimination after that ? The BIG3 saw the potential and the talent and they knew that these mfers gonna make it big, so they decided to take them down before they get more attention. They used the media by not letting any articles or shows trend on Naver by putting pressure on them. They also used fandoms to attack ARMYs and BTS. You think that the companies doesn't have control over the fanwars ?? WRONG!! Alot of insiders said that companies often start shit when they want to take down an artist especially SM. They know that fans have the ability to build and destroy artists carriers , especially kpop fandoms!! So yeah, don't get brainwashed into thinking that BTS weren't big until WINGS or HER era, cuz the numbers on the charts say otherwise.
@reirarei33033 жыл бұрын
Hmm I didn''t think they were unnoticed at debut & certainly garnered enough attention to win rookie awards but also don't think it's to the extent of 'blowing up with huge success' right at the start coz I rem Jin/RM saying in interviews before they spent many sleepless nights & had anxiety abt if they would make it plus they were so surprised at winning their first music show award (eg SNSD got their first award 66 days after debut & TVXQ at 51 days which is more accurate definition of huge from the start?).

You got it wrong, Bts is actually gaining a lot of fans faster than other since the day they started their career and people can see it, thats probably one of the reason why they got hates a lot from other kpop fans community. And starting from an unknown and lacking of budget company, you cant expect to go no.1 that fast but for sure Bts gaining a lot of fans since the begining, people just need to discover them which what theyre lacking back in the days(promo, broadcast etc) All their song is a bop since the beginkng but theyre starting from literally from no fans since their company doesnt got much followers, unlike other bigger groups whove alreadu got a lot of followers.

Actually in the early years BTS took risks with their careers singing about the Korean education system, socio economic factors, and many topics not spoken about. They took a lot of heat. But they had the compant support to make the music they wanted to make. They were kinda the bad boys and quite possibly could be a reason it took awhile for BTS to make it in Korean. At one point they had a larger fanbase outside of their own country. They were so hungry in those early years and the music was fire!

BTS with their first debut song “no more dream “they talk about the school system in a way that you have to have no dream for your future because your parents want you to dream their dream but in the song BTS talks about you don’t have to have a dream you can follow your own passion! ( RM and Suga’s parents both disagreed with them in their career choices in the music industry! Thank God that they did not follow what their parents told them to do or we would not have a BTS!) This song and all represents what your parents want you to do it is to conform to the school systems with matrix behavior do exactly what they tell you to do. The educational system has a controlling robotic behavior. To give students One option , Society and the school system.their opportunity to work hard for their societal purposes anything outside the box is look down On. i think that's why bts became so popular internationally since they seemed to break the stereotypes of other groups and spoke about topics you wouldn't really find in other artists, which may have then influenced other groups to do the same (ex. stray kids' music about mental health) and normalizing artists creating music with deeper meanings (not that there weren't other groups doing the same, just that bts did it so early in their career)

This was actually supposed to be BTS’s last comeback. The company’s finances were at an all-time low and the company thought they wouldn’t be able to keep producing MVs for them anymore after this one. The company was actually likely to shut down, they were thinking of calling it quits. But they pulled through in the end and their next few comebacks did much better financially, and it slowly snowballed from there. I feel South Korea really needed this rebellious, institution critical message. They tend to be very strict with schooling and are a very perfectionist prone society. Even getting a job can be incredibly difficult and you have to have your resume looking PERFECT. It all causes a lot of stress and a helpless feeling for the youth, so it’s sadly no surprise that the country has one of the highest rates of suicide, and place a low #61 on most happiest countries. So it’s nice that BTS could make mainstream music just for the struggling youth. To hype them up and their dreams and encourage them to take it easy sometimes. They were there to say ‘we get it and we hear you’. They were like an outlet and mouthpiece for the frustrated youth in SK who couldn’t openly push back against adults and say what they wanted to when they’re supposed to obey and show a lot of respect to those older than them. So big props for BTS coming in from a small company swinging. The sheer balls lol.

Their song ON references to this song NO. Just like boy with luv references their old song boy in luv. They idea they did this , goes with the concept of map of the soul where they show how they accept every aspect of them ( inspired in the archetypes of Carl jun) and that include their past so they referred in that series their first minialbums. Also with their comeback trailers they sampled their intro of those early minialbums also. Skool luv affair ( 3er mini album ) Intro song is sampled in intro persona ( intro of their ep map of the soul: persona) Boy in luv ( title track of skool luv affair) ---> boy with luv ( title track of map of the soul: persona ) R U L8 2? ( second ep ) intro is sample in interlude: shadow ( from map of the soul 7) Title track R U L8 2? : NO ---> ON ( title track of map of the soul 7) First trailer ( debut ) sample in outro ego from map of the soul 7 ( also a trailer like shadow and persona ). At the end of ON MV you see them referred to their debut track , no more dream.

The speciality of bts is many who hear bts live say it sounds more better than studio version. They are very different from whole kpop industry in lyrics how they challenged the whole society coming from small company people really didn't noticed them as they were not part of SM, JYP, yg. The struggle they went through to show their message from their music was difficult journey where fans and even other idols looked doWn on them because they made very different songs which had such strong messages. At some point i know they were afraid of bts since early and that is why they keep putting them down with bad comments. And that is why they are different from all other kpop .

The big companies were not at all pleased with a small group coming up and talking about real issues and criticizing society. Most groups weren’t and still not allowed to have “controversial” topics in their songs, thus why the majority of kpop gives very much bubblegum pop/cool looking video, cool sounding song but meaningless lyrics. The guys of BTS have solidified their place in the industry as the ones who were unafraid to voice their personal thoughts through their music and not solely what their company told them to think, say and do. 💜

I feel like you guys should try to talk to some senior ARMY. People who have been in the fandom for 4+ years because, although newer fans are appreciated, I don't think they can give you full in-depth meanings to songs. Senior ARMY have been around for years and have done extensive research whilst newer fans may get some stuff mixed up on accident. Also maybe not talk to multis? Most multis will throw BTS under the bus so try to talk to only ARMY. Of course, this is just a suggestion and is coming from a genuine place.

Can you guys react to Seventeen "Getting closer"? It's one of their dark concept songs. Saw many people request and I've been waiting for it~

When I first saw bts I was intrigued by Namjoons Hair 🖐😂😂😂. But my first introduction to kpop was lollipop by Bigbang and 2ne1 from a Bleach amv so I had to look it up. Hopefully if you haven't listen to Bulletproof and no dream

The future of 4th gen kpop is vague. We still don’t know which group will be “leading.” I honestly think its TXT. Ateez and Stray Kidz as well. I choose TXT because of the way their career is progressing right now, their attitude as a group, the perfect discography, talent and as just “longevity.” That’s what I’m focusing on... We may disagree but this is only an opinion👽

i mean BTS was pretty famous back then, BUT.. the MEDIA and the BIG 3 were still predominant so they really "hide" their success

If you click the captions while they're on the screen they'll move up a bit so you don't have to keep moving the mouse to see the bottom line.
