BTS and ARMY are unique in our connection, in their positivity and our support of them... but I find myself thinking, what if other artists and other fandoms were like this? A performance at/in the UN campus is so unprecedented and so meaningful. Gave me proud ARMY chills! They only had a small audience of background dancers and the video was shown to the general assembly while they watched, but it must have made the members so happy and emotional to perform in front of an audience. Part of the reason I subscribed to this channel is the enthusiasm and joy in their reaction to BTS that goes beyond just being a boy band. First of all, I am amazed that these guys did the recording so soon after landing in NY after what, a 14-hr flight? Talk about commitment and stamina! So proud of our boys! I have had the pleasure of visiting the UN in Switzerland (not NY) as part of an envoy representing the US. The feeling you get being there to discuss serious issues and find solutions to solve some of the worlds major problems on behalf of your country is amazing. You feel so small walking the large Halls. There is a gravity to the importance of the work. I know a lot of celebs pass through and it is interesting to the “intellectuals” there but there usually isn’t a lasting impact because there are only a handful who fully walk the walk. It is obvious that BTS has garnered the respect and trust of the UN to use their platform to bring awareness to serious issues. They are being seen as SINCERE strong messengers who have a powerful world wide reach. It is truly wonderful to see this relationship as well as their personal growth. When I watched this morning (and now) I smiled the whole time. I couldn’t help but feel like they were delivering a message that there IS HOPE! They closed down Grand Central Station for "ON" performance; now they had the United Nations HQ reserved for them to give such an epic, beautifully shot performance of "Permission to Dance". UN named their interview "BTS Spotlights the UN", but more importantly they shine love, self love and harmony. Build the coalition of peace BTS! 💜✌

The 7 nickel plated doors that BTS exited were donated by the Canadian Govt. On each door are 4 panels symbolizing Peace, Justice, Truth & Fraternity. It was serendipitous that they came out of those doors. Am so proud of each of them and am a proud ARMY😊💪🙌❤

So glad you watched this right away Nico! I was up at 5am this morning watching their speeches & the PTD performance when it aired live. Love how they transitioned from inside to oustide. How fortunate was it that they got all that sunshine! The guys just traveled to NYC yesterday, so they probably recorded the dance shortly after arriving. Amazing! 😁👍💜

What an iconic moment in time! I'm SO extremely proud of our 7 young men of BTS, representatives of not just South Korea, but the world 🌎. Our 7 Kings of Pop are true Global Superstars who've achieved the topmost honor of performing in the UN's offices in NYC 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜!! I'm originally from New York where I lived for 39 years; I also worked for the last 12 of those years in an office building on 40th Street & 3rd Avenue, very close to the UN. I remember the traffic restrictions, including pedestrian traffic, when the UN was in session, and worse when the President attended! Relocated to Harrisburg, PA 3 months ago; wish I was still there to get a chance to see BTS! A 62-yr old A.R.M.Y. Mom with 3 Adult children; Daughter/Son/Daughter with my youngest sharing Jin's birth month and year 💜
