Thank you for giving me the link to this video. Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 is my favorite piece of classical music. Never had the chance to see it performed live, but this video is like giving me a first class ticket with a closest distance to the pianist! I can clearly hear your pull-in breath, how at the end of the 1st movement 10:34 you seem to be having a mini race to the end but still manage to be on point & giving just the right amount of emotion. I can imagine the hundreds of hours of practice behind this, made me appreciate even more, let alone to Rachmaninoff who composed at the fist time. Please continue to upload things like this!! ☺

Incredible!! This is one of my favorite pieces. It's so amazing to have a BTS look at a rehearsal for Rach 2 😄 Also, the way the conductor looks back at you around 2:01 has me rolling.

Love this! Sidenote: Didnt you upload a similar rehearsal BTS of Gershwins Rhapsody in Blue? If you did and removed it it's too bad, I really enjoyed that inside look and loved the video!

Yeah, had to take that one down. Different orchestras have rules as to what can be uploaded, so sometimes I can’t upload videos (even if I’d like to). That’s a big reason why it’s really hard to upload videos of me performing with orchestras…many have rules restricting sharing.

Could have been a bit off-tune! Since this was just a rehearsal, it might not have been tuned right beforehand.
