I love V's musical style. He has a lot of vintage influences in terms of his music and fashion. His voice is perfect for Jazz and R&B. I think you did a great job of the lyrical interpretation too. His voice is soothing and great when you let him sing you to sleep. His album, Layover, is a perfect example. He just released a collab with Bing Crosby of a remake of White Christmas: (from Google) The collaboration is a partnership between the Bing Crosby Estate, Primary Wave Music, and Geffen Records. V's reinterpretation of the 1942 classic is his first posthumous collaboration with Crosby, who died in 1977. V expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to sing with his idol, saying, "I grew up listening to his song 'It's Been a Long, Long Time' countless times a day". 💜💜💜

This track does have strong BU connections. The Wings era tends to expand on some of what we learned about each of the "boys" during the HYYH era. So the reference to broken glass and blood reflects back to the I Need You mv when V broke the wine bottle to stab his father literally to gushing blood squirting from his father's torso. To fully capture V's headspace and indeed the storyline, I recommend Prologue which is the BTS mv that falls between I Need You and Run. Prologue gives a somewhat different storyline on how the character V's BU emotions to the event were expressed. This Wings work throws them into a somewhat alternative set of events and emotions to the murder. That this might be possible having been hinted at in the HYYH.

to this day no one knows what he wrote the song about, a lot of people are speculating that he wrote it based of of his character in the fictional storyline bts have but im pretty sure even RM said no one knows what its about so i dont think thats the case

Hi Teej! We don't know officially what Stigma means for Tae himself who wrote it with Namjoon. We just know the Bangtan Universe (BU) meaning (an other BTS lore journey) But there is a lot of fan theories, some from the Queers/LGBTQ+ who took this song as anthem for example. Anyway, Tae's voice is like a warm blanket, a hot coffee latte...Profound, cozy, emotional... Go for Jin's album HAPPY, no skip, absolute banger, I'm obsessed!!!!

Just to let you know, RM had no part in writing this song, you might be confusing it with 4 o’clock which rm wrote with V. V wrote the chorus and melody and the lyrics were a little too dark to band pd asked him to tone it down and bang pd, philtre and slow rabbit are credited alongside V for writing Stigma.

The co-writter were Tae, Bang Pd, Jae Won Jang, Do Hyung Kwon but Tae and Namjoon talked about the song together after...And even Namjoon had no real clue (as he said to us) about the real meaning of the song for Tae... Sorry again and thx to correct me gently ^^

Does anyone else remember V mentioning that this song (aside from the BU) reflected his guilt over how his fame has a down side for his younger siblings? How his schedule keeps him from seeing his siblings as much as he'd like, how his celebbrity status puts unnecessary attention on them?

If you're interested there's a video from 'fervent jimin' That shows the evolution of the high notes in Sigma (2017) I have huge respect for him for perfecting this while on tour. Additionally, this song is part of the Bangtan Universe (BU) which you may have come across. There is a series of short films featuring each of the seven members. These show parts of the storyline. It's a whole deep rabbit hole to go down but really interesting. 💜

I would love to see you react to the whole BU and hear what you make of it. You have seen parts of it but not all or in order so you couldnt make the connections. This is part of the BU. It's better if you watch it than us explain it. Usually you need an explanation after though because you may not have the notes that come with it. Xceleste has a great video explain the bu
