Hi, I'm 62 years old great grandmother from Finland. I'm one of the singers at Wembley 2019 who sang to BTS. I was dropped to the rabbit hole in 2018 by my daughter who found them when her mental health was lowest. They saved her from darkness and gave us shared intress to their music. We were together at that concert and it's our best memory for the rest of our life.

Hi, thank you for checking out Taylor's version😊. I'm a 61 y/o working mom here from the Philippines. Also a cancer patient and survivor. Met an 84 y/o grandma in the hospital who was also waiting in line with me to undergo our ultrasound tests and she's also a BTS Army😊. One of the beautiful encounters you may have when you follow BTS like finding an Army in the wild. We both found BTS during the pandemic. They helped keep our sanity and their music and lyrics are just like warm hugs during our lowest times in life. That 84 y/o grandma and me are happy that BTS found us 😁. Hope you enjoy discovering BTS and their music just like us.

I’m a 75 year old woman originally from San Diego, California. I’ve lived in Europe for the last 35 years, the first nine in Northern Germany and the last 26 in Sweden with my Swedish husband. I discovered BTS in 2017 when I was missing my parents, both dead. They LOVED to dance and were really great dancers, so I was searching for lively dancing videos on KZbin and “happened” upon BTS videos. Army lore asserts that BTS finds you when you need them. You are certain to receive many confirmations of this! From the day that I first experienced BTS, they have become my daily dose of comfort and faith in my fellow human beings. WELCOME to our vast BTS rabbit hole🫶! I purple you. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 💜 💥🇸🇪❤️

24:07 Ok subscribed because you get it i think lol... This is prob the biggest secret to their success tbh. Nobody is a bigger fan of BTS than BTS themselves lol. They all fanboy over each other and support each other no matter what. Zero egos and zero toxic masculinity. Its honestly refreshing af to see and if you've been around long enough and love music you see that almost every group/band/collective etc have broken up over egos clashing. I don't ever see that with them.

71 from Ottawa, originally from Poland. I learned about BTS when someone asked me to draw a mandala inspired by BTS' "Black Swan." My dad was dying, I was exhausted after taking care of him for 10 years. The positive messages in BTS songs and incredible energy felt through the screen helped me to survive the hardest time in my life. Jimin is my bias, and the other 6 - bias wreckers. I was lucky to be at Suga's concert in NY in 2023, and my dream is to attend in person the concert of all 7 after their return from the military.

Thank you for taking the time to really learn about the members of BTS. So many people see the surface and don’t understand how much they love and respect ARMY, and how their music has helped so many people. I’ve grown up immersed in music since the 70s, and have never seen anything like them. Talented, humble, and such beautiful souls. I’m so glad I found them. Victoria, BC and 70 yrs old, but emotionally about 30 after finding BTS. Bangtan isn't just about the music, it is a lifestyle and a global community - you can see by the comments ARMY is everywhere and everyone (gender, age, or culture). For me, they rekindled my love of art of all kinds, and appreciation for intelligence and compassion. On the sensory level, you reacted to the fan chant - try watching some live versions of songs with callbacks, BTS creates fan songs with the intention that fans can participate and to hear thousands of people singing in unison at very specific parts gives goosebumps. Mikrocosmos is one song we can all sing to.

They also have lots of layers of meaning in their lyrics and in their MVs also, with many connected to other songs and MVs (Bangtan Universe is a story that runs through a lot of their MVs). When you start getting into them more, you see they are not superficial, but have lots of depth and diversity. Really good reaction! I hope you will do reactions to their variety show Run BTS, and their Bon Voyage and In The Soop travel and staycation specials. You truly get to see their personalities shine through, and get to know them and their relationships with each other so much more through those. As you seem to love this, there is also the fan made documentary The Rise of Bangtan where you get a really deep dive into their journey. There are many episodes, not to mention deleted scenes and bonus content, but the journey is so worth it. You truly get to see them go from humble beginnings to the biggest group in the world. Welcome to the BTS rabbit hole 💜

42 (almost 43yo) ARMY from Michigan and I found BTS just a few years ago and they, along with Stray Kids and ATEEZ, helped me survive my father’s passing. Haven’t seen them live yet, but I hope to one day! My favorite thing ever was something Suga said, to paraphrase, “Don’t feel bad if you weren’t with us from the beginning. BTS debuts for you when you need them to.” And that is absolutely true. They found me when I needed them most, and they have been with me ever since. 💜

52 yrs old from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷. There is some truth to the saying “BTS finds you when you need them most” because I was aware of them for several years (my cousin’s kids were ARMY and my husband had several of their songs on his playlist) but didn’t become ARMY until I “discovered them” myself in February 2023. The depth and message of Fake Love (and the entire Love Yourself: Tear album) captivated me and I haven’t looked back. It was just what I had needed to hear. This guide was one of the first ones I watched, and I have lost count of how many times I have watched people react to it.

It’s me again and I have seen multiple comments Recommending the New Guide by Purple Snow, I personally have watched it and I prefer this Guide ( by Taylor ) I have also Seen Multiple Reactors Watch it ( The Purple Snow Guide ) and they have Had to break it up into 3-4 parts, it is 2 hours plus long and Yes it Goes into More of their Solo Stuff which is Great but Being Army since 2017 I find for Newer Army that the Taylor Guide is A Perfect Place to start at!! I did watch the Purple Snow Guide and by the Time it got to V I had lost track of all the information about the previous Members!! It is highly overwhelming In My Opinion and to Some They like it More!! Please Don’t Feel PRESSURED to React to It!! THIS Is YOUR JOURNEY and You SHOULD Have Your JOURNEY The Way That YOUR Comfortable With!! Us Veteran/Older ARMY Have Had Our JOURNEY !! We Can Guide you WITH Recommendations Etc. Don’t let Army Dictate How You Take Your Journey 💜

Hi from West Virgina, USA! born in '95 here and fan of BTS since early 2016. I found them when I was 21 and am now turning 30 in a few months. They have truly been one of the best things to happen to me. They have been the soundtrack of my 20s, a joy and comfort to me in hard times (I'd even go so far as to say they saved my life one night,) they introduced me to the world of Kpop which I now love dearly, and they helped broaden and shape my world view by opening me up to consuming content in other languages. Thank you so much for showing genuine interest and curiosity in our boys! The deeper you dive it only gets better and you will keep discovering new layers to love

Thanks for watching Taylor's excellent piece and for appreciating the wonders of BTS. I loved the way you read and shared Taylor's own words about the making of this. I was there, and loved her whole approach (which has included her sincere efforts to induce several of her colleagues - and her boss - into ARMY). Sooo many times I wanted to chip in with new snippets from my own knowledge about BTS and ARMYs, but I think we all need to find our own way and our own focus. One thing I will add is that BTS came to debut after only a relatively short period in training, and when you recognise that Jin had NO experience in singing OR dance before he signed for BTS, and that Jimin (who was not a singer before BTS) only had 6 months in training before debut, their achievements are even more startling. The more I see and learn about them, the deeper my admiration, and yet they are all normal young men linked by strong bonds they have forged through their many challenges. And there have been huge challenges: Xceleste has a fairly short video on BTS hardships that I strongly recommend for an overview of some of what BTS have had to overcome. Those hardships have not ended, and in fact, they have been added to... but BTS only want to show us their smiling faces. No wonder we love them, as performers, but also as amazing human beings. btw, I am in the UK, am a retired woman and will be 70 in March. I am grateful for everything BTS offers us, but also deeply thankful for my ARMY friends who are hugely warm, kind and supportive, even though I am unable to meet with them now due to current health issues : I we maintain close links through our networks.

To this day the guys still do Lives, there was a break while they were in the military of course but the day Jin got discharged he went straight to the company and did a Live while still in his uniform. Jin going live just to play games is some of the best medicine, he shouts and screams so dramatically and we can only laugh and smile so hard. JK is the King of Lives. He’ll go for hours singing, cooking , eating, cleaning, working out and even sleeping

While I love Taylor's guide, I actually now prefer Purple Snow's A Long And Helpful Guide. But I also understand that, at almost 2 1/2 hours, it can be daunting for some people; but it also has the advantage that it is more up to date than Taylor's guide (by 2 years), and even then a lot happened last year. Another good guide is a recent one by boracity magazine, A Guide To BTS (for haters, skeptics, and non-pop fans). It's perfect for those taking their first steps on the BTS journey. Then you can also expand to the longer ones (she actually recommends four during the video, including both Taylor's and Purple Snow's.

The ages mentioned are the old korean way of calculating ages. So 1 to 2 years younger than stated. Ie. Jungkook was 13 just about to turn 14 when he left home. RM and Jin are very vocal that no trainee should be taken on that's going through puberty. They say its too young. Also they know not all groups are as kind or protective as BTS. V also was going through big physical changes. Plus he has a very unusual tone for Kpop. Especially the way V came to the company by accident they were worried about him being poached by a bigger company. RM had only graduated secondary school a few weeks before BTS debut.

I'm a UK Army in my 50's. Enjoying your BTS reactions, would have loved seeing Lana (? not sure if I got that right) again, as well. Loved her insight last time. Blessings to you all. Another series I recommend and that's important to new Army's is Rise of Bangtan, it's an excellent series that follows BTS vlogs etc from pre debut to 2019 if I remember correctly. It's fan made but very Netflix worthy as the quality is amazing. It also gives a history of KPop and how BTS were trained differently from the rest and why I think it made them as great as they are. Due to the smallness of their Company Big Hit they worked their butts off and here we are, despite and probably due to their struggles. Truly impressive and why they mean so much to Army who also struggled alongside them as both were attacked. Anyway that's just for background. 😅 Just to point out, in some Asian countries the Surname is first, then given name. So RM (now known as Real Me) is Kim (Surname) Namjoon. Known affectionately as Joonie, RM, Namjoons, or God of Destruction 😅 he doesn't know his own strength and tends to destroy things, much to his consternation! But such a gentle man. Incidentally Taylor is doing a follow up which will take into account all their solo activities since 2022. And it's now 1400 awards?? Yes, Army doesn't play when it comes to awards and our Tannies!! 😂 Borahae! 💜

I'm a '91 baby in Canada and have been an ARMY since 2014 - so just a year after their debut. I always get excited watching genuine reqction videos of people learning not just about their music but also about the members and their history. Hope you enjoy this rabbit hole~ Edit: There are a few little things in the video where, unless you're familiar with how the music scene is in Korea or how kpop entertainment companies and groups typically functioned at the time, reading the information about the group and member would only seem interesting, however it was different from the typical norm at the time. This is one of the reasons why things are pointed out in the video (eg lyric subject matter) and also one of the reasons why the group stood out.

Watch the entire video of the ARMYs singing Young Forever to BTS. Keep in mind the language in London is English but the fans are singing the song in Korean. I really appreciate how invested you were in this! I am so drawn to BTS, both for their musical prowess and their sheer humanity. I think they've inspired a lot of people to be their best selves and find meaning and purpose in a beautiful way. They aren't perfect; no human can be. But they are a wonderful map for what it means to care and try to leave a world better than it was, navigate and find your way whilst stumbling through the wilderness of life. They really are soo special.. They've never rested on their laurels and taken things for granted. They don't allow anyone to put them into a box. Their musicality is a boundless morphing organism, with roots deep-seated in their souls, and tendrils reaching across the cosmos. I'm sure you'll find absolute gold while discovering their tracks! And I'll be sticking around to witness it!
