In other agencies they chose their members by whether they were "pretty" and whether they could dance. Some then were singers but those of the winners who couldn't sing were called rappers. After the trials then those that were put in the rapping group would be taught to rap by rappers. So Suga is here talking of those that could not rap that were chosen by agencies and if you can't sing they call you a rapper.

This track was my first ever BTS song back in 2013 so it has a special place in my heart I'm always astonished by the hat trick in the dance break and ofc #rapper_jungkook 😭💯💜 And just to make it clear Jungkook was 15 years old when they made their debut ( 13 when he joined the company) so basically he was LITERALLY still in school ( he was in middle school then in high school while practicing and working , it must have been really tough 😭) that's why he was saying I gave up sleeping and didn't often get the chance to go to school just to fullfil my dream, and i respect him for that a lot 👏

Thank you for a great reaction. But just to let you know, RM was not chosen to be leader because of his English. His English wasn't even a consideration. It's because he was considered a genius rapper even as a 16 year old, and he was so talented that BigHit decided to create the group BTS with him as the core. It took them 3 years to put the group together - the line up changed hundreds of times, with loads of potential members joining and leaving, before they finally decided on the 7 men we have today. As much as you may like his rap through translations, it's nothing compared to what it actually sounds like to Koreans. Literal pure poetry and genius.

The dance break was j-hope, then Jimin, then Jung Kook. They're the original dance line, also known as 3J. There are some amazing dance practices with the three of them, and Jung Kook did a short but mesmerizing GCF of them practicing their dances for an awards show. In 2018, V joined the dance line after impressing BigHit's performance director with his dancing in his solo, "Singularity."

The dance practice for this song is one of my favs to this day. You're amused by how RM tossed Hobi to the side, but when you see the full image of the choreo, it's so much more. This and No More Dream, without even knowing the members at the time I already knew that RM was the leader. "He's such a boss," is what I thought when I saw those dance practices.
