i will never forget bts winning their first daesang. the award camera cuts out the first 2 seconds of their reaction and to me it's the best part (you got to see it on the bangtantv ep). the way taehyung snaps his neck to look at jimin with the widest eyes is literally engraved in my memory lmao so precious!!!! and yes!!!!!! it was unexpected bc no one from outside of the big 3 (jyp, sm entertainment, yg) had ever won a daesang before. they wrote history

Have you seen the "battle of the century, boys in battle" or whatever its called between bts & block b on mama 2014? I cant remember. If not you should, especially because theres a great dance by jimin that will make you happy lol. Classroom idea was originally by seo taiji, the original group that spawned kpop. Like bts they sang/rapped about important things. When he had his 25th anniversary concert, seo taiji asked bts to perform with him. At the very end he said he waited 25 years for a group to come along that he could "pass the torch to" (someone who cared and used their platform to preach change etc) the boys said learning the dances from the 90s were harder than the ones nowdays. Probably just because the moves were so foreign to them compard to modern dance moves. You should watch the anniversary concert, its awesome. KBS is a channel in korea, like NBC or CBS in the US 💜

I will never forget Yoongi's reaction when they won their first daesang. Bro was shook and then stayed seated for so long like he expected them to be like "Yo, that was a good joke. The daesang actually goes to *insert goup name*!" 😂 They really deserve so much 💜

I can still remembered the moment like it was yesterday.. i just found them the month before the award.. will never forget the emotional moment then.. they deserve everything and more.. this was the song that made me fall down the Bangtan rabbit hole 😊

It was so shocking to them because no one from a small company had ever won that so it was history in the making, the 1st of many historical firsts! I love the look on all of their faces! Zero expectations because why would they expect to win when no one from a small company had ever won it before! Im so proud of them! 💜 Btw this notification came up and i ditched the video i had been watching to come here 😂 Eta 37:56 yes, those 2 were from the group got7. Jackson wang & ...idr who the other guy was. Bambam? Mark? Kinda looked like 1 of them idk got7 suuuuper well and it was a glimpse) but yes, theres mostly fans in the crowd but the lower sets of rows are other celebs

i literally remember watching the mama awards and performances and it was so crazy being there for such a huge moment in their careers 😭💗 i rmbr going to a friends house and forcing them to watch the boys performance bc it was the coolest thing at the time to me :,) i can’t believe how much they’ve grown and achieved since that moment

16:13 "Sunbae-nim" is a word which is made by combining 'sunbae' meaning 'a senior' and 'nim' which is a suffix for more politeness. This word is widely used to address a senior member who worked longer & has more experience than you in that particular occupation. Here, Jimin said "Hello, Sunbaenim" to maybe an Idol who's been in the industry longer than him (even if the other idol debuted just 1 year earlier than him).

37:51 Yeah they show other idols too. The ones they just showed were members of the group "GOT7". There are some funny compilations of BTS being shown during other idols performances. Sometimes members are dancing, singing along, sitting zoned out, etc. And there are also compilations of other idols being shown during BTS performances and similarly funny compilations of idols being shown during other idols performances. Those videos are really fun. They sometimes cause some controversies too but usually fun.

Idk if you know this Tribe Loui but most idols lip sync in award shows except bts lol (the show rehearsal schedule was leaked). And bts performances are always of such high quality that other idols from their generation stopped going to award shows because they couldn't outperform them and were afraid of losing face.
