Why didn't you address that TRT is a lifelong affair with the possibility of major side effects ( prostate cancer, hair loss, and acne) to name a few? Secondly, most TRT clinics do not use "natural means" but utilize dangerous drugs such as aromataze inhibitors or HCG; which have been proven to cause man boobs and/or metabolic issues. TRT is a serious issue and should not be taken lightly. Once you're on it, you cannot, I repeat, CANNOT stop treatment. Running a "weening protocol" is very difficult and can induce more side effects .

I’m 48 and got in TRT and thyroid meds in Oct ‘19. My endocrine system was shot from years of untreated sleep apnea. It took a while to get the right dosage, but now that it’s dialed in I feel like Superman. And I dropped 102lbs of body fat last year, from 46% body fat to 22% body fat. Still have some more fat to lose, but I suggest every man over 40 get checked regularly. It truly is life changing stuff.

Rich, you are by far the best channel for self development I have come across on youtube. Almost a year after my breakup I have been through Rollo, Shawn T Smith, Robert Glover, 21 Studios and so on... Your content is the best for a few reasons: 1) No masks. You say it as it is. You don't care calling out a fat fuck who needs to get in the gym. Many coaches dance around the main issues and it is exhausting. 2) You and your guests all speak from experience, no theoretical horseshit. 3) It is always something new. Even when you touch on old topics you do it differently with a new person with a new story. 4) You give practical solutions to daily problems. 5) You really care about what you are doing. Hopefully I will reach a point in life a few years from now where I can emulate your enterprise and help others just as well.

Rich, it is a long fight to live like our male ancestors. Vitamin D is the biggest one for me. When Im out in the sun, the more closer Im to Tropic of Cancer, it feels better and I have abundance of energy and positive vibes. The sun in the north is so bad for me I get symptoms of depression versus the more southern locations I visit, I feel like I can achieve a lot in life as a man solely based on receiving this sunshine. I have explained this phenomina about how the sun feels different the closer you are to the equator to a lot of people but it seems no one is tuned to notice this. And not to mention you get sunburns in the north and get a nice tan in the south. Food for thought.

Very insightful. I do some things myself to regulate T like drinking from a stainless steel bottle and much more. I am 26 myself. And started to live in a T optimized way about a year ago. Now that it has been almost a year, recently, a few weeks ago, I started to quite literally feel on top of the world. My levels of happiness, wellbeing, and life satisfaction have gone through the roof. This is due to the lifestyle. But also because I have done semen retention for a year. Not because I don't get women, because women threw themselves at me before I did semen retention, but because I did my own research and discovered that T is basically made in the balls and resides in your sperm for the most part. From all the changes I made semen retention has increased my testosterone the most. And yes, I also do make more money and have a deeper voice. Stuff works. Will try to optimize some more stuff and get the book you recommended and when I am 30 will start with tests. But so far, I have 0 of the low T symptoms, which I did use to have earlier in my life, and I feel amazing. I am going to go one more year without sex to really settle myself in life and to make even more money. Just wanted to point this out since I found your understanding of semen retention crude tbh. And mildly frustrating since no one talks about it while it is likely the easiest and the most natural game changer for better T and androgen receptor sensitivity. Everyone talks about relatively ely complicated things like hormone water filters, but no one about what has the most impact. Google the 80/20 rule or Pareto Distribution, all those small things you do to regulate T are what brings you 20% of the results, while TRT probably gives 80% of the desired T results. Same with semen retention it is the 80% of all the things you can do naturally. Go to Semenretention subreddit, read what people report, then go to TRT subreddit read what they report, compare. It is virtually the same. The proof is in the pudding.

As of May 1st 2021 Labcorp has lowered the "in range" score to like 264 ng/dl. They keep lowering it as the average, overweight males with environmental endo toxins get tested. This affects guys who want to be optimal, but insurance won't cover u and most drs won't prescribe testosterone when ur "in range." So yes, a 30 year old can have the testosterone of an unhealthy 65 year old and be considered in range..."ur fine" RIDICULOUS.

Just my opinion from what I have seen in my life. ED is a problem now more so because of diet, lack of vision, purpose and exercise. (activity). Reading your book Rich. Good stuff! @@MikeG82 No, I don't. I have never had them checked. Thought about doing it out of curiosity but never have. I have as much energy as my kids which are 12 to 20 years old. 5 boys. 2 work for me. People believe they have to slow down and they do. My kids complain about stiffness, soreness , aches and pains all the time just like we did when we were young but we forget and think it is age. That we are getting old because that is what everyone will and does tell us. Hell, we are getting old from the day we are born. Yes? Eat well, exercise physically, mentally and spiritually or metaphysically if you like. Try that for about 6 months and see if that doesn't help. One more thing. Make an effort to hang around with young people. I may have another couple of kids If I can figure out a way to do it without getting stuck with a woman paying child support. I have 8 kids now. Good luck! Oh and one more thing. Stay the hell away from fast foods, processed food, soda all that crap.

Who has had their T level measured, changed a variable such as discontinuing the use of plastic containers to store food, followed by having their T level measured again? What was the outcome (specific numbers, that is) of making that change of product or lifestyle choice? Simply knowing that a given item disrupts hormonal balance without the information needed to quantify its effects isn't helpful to me. In other words, maintaining awareness of a lengthy list of products and their effects on personal health requires additional effort, along with avoiding those specific items and sourcing alternatives; I don't wish to spend any additional time or money doing anything beyond common sense (e.g. regular physical activity) if the benefits are meager. Although I completely understand that some people are serious about living life in optimal condition, I find that the sheer amount of health-related information at our disposal is theoretical at best, not very conclusive or actionable, and much of it amounts to little more than mental diddling. Some find the wealth of knowledge to be of interest, and I find zero fault with that whatsoever; however, I simply haven't the time or patience to mentally diddle when it doesn't SUBSTANTIALLY improve my quality of life. Thanks!

For the guy that asked about the VA. Ask for labs, if they are low they will refer you to a urologist, but you can ask for an endocrinologist. If you have an ED rating on your claim listing they will cover it 100% . I get a shot every two weeks ( it was a battle to get injectables ) and will be able to upgrade to once a week in a few weeks. Very insightful stuff. Although normally your own body makes more than enough cholesterol, you can eat it but doing so just like most other things it doesn't work that way. It has to be in a whole form (undigested) on the cellular level to be effective. I agree with you on soy products lowering Testosterone. I am 56 years old with a Testosterone level @ 400 in the summertime, that drops to 350 in the colder months. So I just started Trt with an injection of 100 mg, and must say it's been a help this winter.

brave it’s not necessarily a question of age as it is a question of need. If your levels are low for your age first thing to do is clean up your diet and start exercising. Make sure your getting 8 hours of sleep every night. If your levels are still low (typically less than 450 total test) then you should look into TRT.

I have said it before, and i hope that you will dive into it, but the age related drop of testosterone of men who are not overweight (> 20%) and not (chronically) ill is quite low and according to a new study there is even no relation between aging as such and the drop of testosterone. At least, not directly. Aging men are in general more often (chronically) ill and have more often a high body fat percentage. I should advice to get all factors that contribute to low testosterone as optimal as possible, so sleep, (strength)training, substances in the environment, illness, sleep quality and duration, stress management etc. before considering THT.

In case I'm not the only one outside North America listening to this; there's two different types of measurements going on. The one talked about here that's in ng/dl and the one I received (in Norway) nmol/l. I'm 55 and had a blood test result last fall of 16 nmol/l , equal to 461 ng/l. Some years earlier at 48-49 it was 18 nmol/l, equal to 519 ng/l, so it's going down alright. Got a flat out refusal for an apointment with an expert via my GP and that's the downside of socialized medicine; they think they own the citizens bodies. No my body, my choice there. Might try out a private clinic, but that means travel and expenses. If not, I will try and get some on my next trip to Russia (if we are ever again allowed to travel). Official guidelines are a joke. Generally stated for men from a low of 8 nmol/l or 231 ng/ to a maximum of 35 nmol/ or 1.010 ng/l. For men over 50 at 6 nmol/l or 173 ng/l to 26 nmol/l or 750 ng/l. It is all true what Rich Cooper say, we men are lower in testosterone than in the past. A study found that in Norway from 1979 to 2008 there were a 20% decline of testosterone! BTW, thanks a lot for doing this service for us men, Rich. I just hope the guys realize how important it is and take action.

Turning off WIFI at night is not really putting in the work, getting rid of it is, just pull rj45 to your computer from the router and turn off the wifi for good, if you really need to use data on your phone at home, you can get an adapter to hook it on the rj45. Phone calls are best done by a window, i prefer to use a native union vintage handset while the phone is strapped to the window with velcro behind a radiation blocking curtain, if i need to be on the phone longer :)

Andrew Tate in one of his interviews recommended eating raw onions and garlic and supposedly it causes a HUGE surge in Testosterone production (something like +300% increase) I gave it a try and sure enough I feel like an absolute beast. It's a painful daily process but I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants to take their T seriously.

@jimraynor7788
@jimraynor7788 3 жыл бұрын
284 is really low. I was in the 300's and felt like crap. i fortunately was able to raise it to 673 and I feel much better now. I couldn't even get hard at 300ng/dl but the doc said the same thing, that I was "normal". I would first get your sleep fixed if it's bad, then take a male multi, get extra mag and zinc through ZMA, boron is good at lowering shbg levels and therefore increases free t levels, take at least 10,000 iu of vit d a day, and exercise. All of this more than doubled my levels but I had a pretty shitty lifestyle beforehand. After you have your kid you could maybe reconsider if TRT as an option and at your age you really should consider it.

As an alternative, they said I can take this stuff called clomid which tells my pituitary gland to produce more T. Open to suggestions...

It's interesting how this is an hour of info on T and TRT, and yet the fact that once you start TRT you have to stay on it for life isn't mentioned. That would be good to know for younger guys who may just need to start working out and should not become dependent on drugs so soon. Guys should not become dependent on anything, especially as the west heads closer to a communist collapse. It's interesting that Rich didn't mention that...
