Great episode! I have a question that I would love to have you both weigh in on. The question is, Am I Cheating Myself? As a 53 y/o relatively fit garage gym Crossfitter I have been following a regimented strength progression program for deadlifts for the past couple of years and have been able to increase my 1RM by 60lbs. For 99% of the cycle I am pulling from the floor and using the dead stop method, but there have been a couple of occasions where I struggled to move the bar from the floor. My solution was to rack the bar just above knee level, then unrack the weight and complete three touch-and-go reps. As an example, I used this rack and touch-and-go method a couple of cycles ago to move a weight that I couldn't get off the floor, and this past cycle I was able to move that weight from the floor for a 3 x 3 cycle. So, in your opinion, Is using the method I described cheating to pursue my strength goals? Thank you in advance.

This is the conjugate method in essence. Variations of the lift at different end and starting ranges. Was used by west side barbell and still is. Probably the best way to do long term.
