Just bought the machine. Cant wait to make my own milk. I remember boiling blended, soaked soy to make soymilk and tofu. It was messy and time consuming. I wonder if on top of making soymilk, you could use this machine to make tofu also. Maybe partially, just shortening the process and using cloth to take out pulp.

Woo get ready to enjoy fresh soy milk the easy way! I made tofu from hand-pressed soy milk a few times too and it'd literally take me hours for a small block 😂 so fully know what you mean That's a great idea though; I hadn't thought of that before! Have still been saving the okara and using it in dishes afterwards, so in theory I think you can 🤔 If you try it out making tofu after the soy milk, please let me know how it goes!

Have you ever tried making soy or nut milk at home yourself before? What was your experience like?

Why do you worry about pasteurizing. Your killing the live milk and the purpose of having this machine

Hi there! I've never tried drinking homemade soy milk without pasteurizing it first so it isn't something I can recommend. Is that something you've normally done? From my understanding it's unsafe to drink without pasteurizing since raw soy beans contain trypsin inhibitors and phytic acid, which can lead to issues with digestion and mess with your metabolism. So even if doable, personally I don't think the risk would be worth the reward (plus pasteurized soy milk tastes great)
