I think the foam insert is so the phone doesn't slide around. Like you put the phone on top of it while you do the install.

I got the same brand for my 9 and 9Pro. I really like install. One broke within days by dropping, but it did it's job and took one for the team lol. Very similar to ultra glass install process, but I think UG may be slightly smoother feeling

this is a bit popular in PH, using it in my s24u. other tempered glass brands messes up the FP sensor...not this brand! however, pricing here is better. around 8-9USD only, free shipping.
