Im sure they have the masters somewhere. I know not all the songs were fully done..some just parts, not the whole song. Worth a shot to keep bugging them to see who has the masters and how we can get the songs...heck just have them release them on iTunes...costs them NOTHING and they can make money.

Yeah, I'm still hoping someone will eventually release the English soundtrack on iTunes as a digital album. Maybe someone will in the future. But, at least Lou Bonnevie's songs are on iTunes in the US now. So, who knows...

Damn shame they did release the English CD like they said they would. Canceled before they got a chance to even print them~!

It's never going to happen. The US distributor said they put the Genom Corporation for the English soundtrack label as a joke and the dubbing studio only re-did the music to fit in with the length of how they were used in the original.

So is the beginning of episode 1 ova when she sings Konya Wa Hurricane. Almost scene for scene in the movie Streets of Fire (Nowhere fast) . While I'm ambivalent about the lyrics (which may have the same connotations as the original) , the tonality and beat help to remind us that these pretty women are pretty tough. This fits neatly with their "establishing shots".

Actually you also need to add Jeanne Mas' *S'Envoler Jusqu'au Bout* to hear how this song is a *COMPLETE* rip-off. Note for note, it goes "Johnny Johnny", then "S'Envoler" for the verses, then "Johnny Johnny" for the chorus, rinse/repeat until the instrumental bridge (which is admittedly original)!

The english versions of the first BGC were closer to the feel of the original japanese....than the newer BGC 2040. But still like both...but prefer original

Despite of the fact that most of the english versions of BGC songs really sucked this one sounds ok, is not as good as the japanesse version but at least the female singer sounds like a PRO singer... not a drunken karaoke singer like the one that barked at Mr Dandy.
