If you have problems with commercial toners, but still would like to use one, I would suggest making your own. I like to brew very strong green tea and add 2 tbsp of lemon juice. Pour it into a spray bottle and refrigerate until it's nice and cool. Spray onto cotton pads and rub all over your face. It keeps in the refrigerator for 5-7 days. It helps with my uber-sensitive skin and makes my skin so soft!

The Tea Tree Blackhead Exfoliater from Body Shop worked very well for me! You have to use it maybe 2-3 times a week (depending on how bad your skin is), and you have to do this for a couple of weeks before you see big changes, but it's great! Be careful if you have dry skin though, it can be harsh...

I wish Bubz would list the products she uses below, it would be so much easier. I definitely would love to try the night mask she uses and some of the lotions and serums, hopefully they will be good for sensitive skin. What do you guys think?

Dairy is actually not a good source of calcium for people. It makes your blood acidic, causing your body to draw calcium from your bones to neutralize the blood. You then pee out your calcium. Also, Milk makes you fat because it is meant to make a baby calf grow double its size in a few months. The hormones added to milk as well as the natural hormones found in milk are terrible for your skin. Since I've stopped drinking milk my skin and overall health has really improved. Try it out and see for yourselves :3 Educate yourselves on being ethical and healthy. Watch "The Best Speech You Will Ever Hear" - Gary Yourofsky. It is absolutely life-changing :)

Hey there, I too had this question when I was about 14 and didn't knw where to start. (I'm not an expert),but here's some suggestions/ advice. To take good care of your skin, it's a good idea to create a facial routine that you can do daily. B4 you can create one though, you should ask yourself "what kind of skin type do I have" ? (Generally there is: normal, oily, dry, “combo= oily in some spots, dry in others at the same time”, sensitive, acne-prone, etc.)

@madamen1311 жыл бұрын
It is, but it's very popular in Asia. Their women also look years younger. There's only three steps that's REALLY needed though. Cleanse, sunscreen (day)/moisturizer (night) and exfoliation (I personally prefer chemical exfoliation). Some other additions might be a good antioxidant serum and a toner, if that's your thing.

it depends on your skin type, if your oily then wash your face with either water or a foaming facial clenser, if your dry then use a more creamy cleanser. also moisterize with a noncomedgetic aka doesnt clog pores lotion, and do this 2x a day :)

Dabbing a bit of clay mask over the pimples (at night) tends to clear them up... or at least prevent them from becoming huge volcanoes. Also, baking soda. You can use it as an exfoliator, or make a paste and apply it to your pimple. Helps tons!

I am really not great with these skin things but I would recommend you drinking green tea in the morning because it REALLY helps. Water does nothing but after drinking green tea for a few months my skin is better than it was before. Regarding the lemon water, just add a squeeze of lemon into the water and not a whole bunch. People drink lemon water as a substitute for breakfast when they want to lose weight and I think it doesn't sound too good. I hope your breakouts calm down.
@orangejuicerox12 жыл бұрын
just a word of caution, foam cleanser is more on a drier side. And you don't want to over cleanse your face. Double cleanse your face at night to remove all make up and dirt is necessary. But if you don't have oily skin, i think tepid water in the morning is fine.

im in the same situation. Never had much problems with skin so I don't have much experiences skincare products. I'm not an expert, but i would suggest that you cover the basics first then go to specific skin products. Use a gentle cleanser every night, tone and moisturize your skin. Use a physical sunblock with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide religiously every day especially when you're going to be out playing sport.

Oh my....no wonder you have such good skin. I'm using only cleanser and moisturizer. I even skipped toner because I don't dare to use too much products on my skin. My skin is so sensitive that whenever I try a new product, my skin starts to react and becomes red and itchy. The itchiness will only go off after weeks which I hate it so much.

Use extra virgin olive oil (the one from Spain - not from Italy or Greece) and when you remove it, wet down a clean towel with warm water and rub it off. Extra virgin olive oil works wonders as a cleanser as well, so you can massage and cleanse your face at the same time.

Do you not use the Cure Natural Aqua Gel to exfoliate anymore? In your video I noticed you use the St. Ive's Olive Scrub and I thought it might be a good idea to know why (if you don't use Cure anymore) you don't use it anymore before I decide to buy it.
@PeppermintMoriGirl12 жыл бұрын
Knowing ur skin type can help u decide on what products to use. Some store bought products may work well for u or DIY, natural products are an option. Next, you want to create a 3 step routine (this is the simplest routine) that includes a cleanser, a toner, & moisturizer for ur skin type. Lastly, if u have problem areas (acne, dark marks, etc. ), u supplement ur regular 3 step routine with products specifically for those areas.

What age do you think that we should be using makeup/skin care? I mean I used cleansers for a bit at a young age because I got whiteheads a lot. I am not using makeup at the moment but I would like to. My skin is so imperfect. I need something that isn't for sensitive skin but is gentle. Suggestions? I live in America... So I don't think you would suggest anything..

It's perfectly ok to just wash and moisturize! Bubz use all these products because that's what works for her skin, but that doesn't necessarily mean you have to do it as well :) Personally, I only use a good cleanser and moisturizer, and that's good enough for me. Don't stress it, too many products can actually be bad for the skin at times, so find out what works for you! This vid is only an example of how you can do it :)
