Buck Owens was the greatest when I was growing up. It's sad to hear what's coming out of Nashville now. I really missed that steel guitar. Thank you

One could listen to country music for a thousand years and never hear anything as beautiful as this great song by Buck Owens and steel guitar master Tom Brumley.
@ralphanderson56214 жыл бұрын
Leigh Stonington vocals and steel are the best I’ve ever heard imo. It’s amazing you can listen to so much country music and one day you hear a song like this and your blown away. I feel the same way about Vincent by Don McLean.
@enricovaliente73094 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. We will never hear this kind of song nowadays. It brings back memories when I play Buck Owens songs until now. I was 6 years old when I started listening to country music. It's such popular during the 60's - 70's. From the Philippines

Yes, Buck Owens had a great gift and talent, one of the greatest ever. Believe it, or not, even the Beatles were big fans of him.. 🇬🇧 🇺🇸

It just doesn't get any better than this when it comes to real country music. The words, singing and the band. I know I am older but I just cannot understand what is coming out of Nashville these days. There are some young one trying to write and sing like their predecessors but it slim pickins. Blessings on you all.

It ain't from Nashville! This is from Bakersfield, recorded in L.A. That's why it's good.

I was listening to CCR Looking Out my back door when when Buck Owens was mentioned. Who is Buck Owens I thought I’ll look him up. Boy am I glad I did. Sheer delight. Proper country music. Shame today’s country music isn’t this good. And that’s from a Brit.

I recently lost my dad unexpectedly. I assume this song is more about a man and his woman but I listen to it and think about how much I miss my dad and I can’t wait to be “together again.” My dad wasn’t a big country fan but he knew all the older names like Buck Owens. We used to talk about how neat it would be to sit in the crystal palace and listen to Buck sing. RIP Dad, I love you and miss you every day.

Sitting at home in a global pandemic, couldn't sleep, got up at 5:00 in the morning in the dark and made a cup of coffee. Put this song on, hearing it for the first time, grabs every cell in your body. You feel it in your gut. Thank you Buck Owens.

i love this style of pedal steel guitar playing. just the harmonizing of the low and high strings at the same time makes it sound like a multi-part chorus. tom brumley and jimmy day seem to do the multi-part chorus on the steel guitar the best.
