Men cannot understand what that is like and them demanding women like us just be ok with mentally ill men in our spaces when we KNOW what that can lead to is so cruel and deranged and I will NEVER support this movement while the far left keeps screaming over women survivors and calling us names and sending us death threats. I'm not a Republican but I support Nancy Mace as I understand EXACTLY where she is coming from. Being assaulted so badly that it leaves lifelong physical damage should never be a danger women are forced into any more than they have to be. Women identifying as men cannot wreak the kind of havoc on men that they do to us. It's pure evil what is being done to women in the name of this movement. As an older woman that has had several transwomen friends, I never had any issue with them going into the ladies room or any other regular transwoman that I didn't know. When I started having an issue was when the men that were clearly not even trying to pass started going in. There has been multiple occasions in the last couple of years that I have been in the ladies room when young girls were in there and a person that looked like a man came in. I did not ask him to leave but I did stay in there until the girls left. I was not willing to take the chance that they wouldn't try something. I wish McBride (and others) would realize that it's not about them, it's not about how harmless they are (or claim to be), it's about the women who use those spaces and their comfort, their feeling of safety. I think it's about the fact of if a trans is considered "passing" and not just cross-dressing. Here's where I say that: I have a friend that is trans and I had no idea FOR YEARS! She looked female when I met her and I had no clue until I saw she was running for local government and said she was trans in an article. In the situation about the bathroom bill, men are less likely to fear an FTM because they are not a threat to bio men. MTF IS a threat because of simple biology and genetics. That's why there is such a kerfuffle about this situation. If men want to be in the women's private spaces, they should be passing and not be creepy. Because so many older men are claiming that they are trans, it's scary for a woman that's small or light in weight. Also, women go to the bathroom with their kids. Women are also trying to protect their kids from this. It can simply confuse a small child that doesn't yet understand the difference. 1,000,000% Agree on just having a 3rd bathroom. It's ridiculous we have gotten to this point in American society.

They came in demanding all these laws be changed without thinking about us at bio women feelings at all. Also, without thinking about what would happen to the children in the process. Before all this started, I of course, do not want biological men in the bathroom with me, but I also believe that everybody should live their authentic self and be happy in their life. But that also goes for us as well. We deserve to be happy and feel safe. I’m with my husband 38 years and we don’t invade each other’s privacy when it comes to the bathroom and we love each other. Why on earth would I want a complete stranger that’s a male in my bathroom. To accommodate everyone businesses should be required to have three bathrooms. And any establishment that people are changing or showering like a school, spa, gym etc… they should be required to have three locker rooms and showers for everyone’s safety, period.

Even had dreams of it and being happy. I was considering transitioning in 2016-2017 and experimented with "looks". I eventually realized it would never be what i would want it to be and stopped it at that. That was around the time i turned 30. It's the reason i looked into everything about trans and despite realizing I didn't have actual dysphoria, I would have been rushed into medicalization if i went to the doctor about it and did something i would have regretted. It's also why these ideologues/faketrans just come off as appropriators wanting attention.

The very fact that the left wants to drag the toilet/changing room issue on and on and doesn't want to introduce an easy solution that satisfies all parties... to me is a sign that they are only acting as activists. It is enough to introduce an additional universal place for everyone, no one will be discriminated there. Activist colleagues can start using this place as part of a protest and encourage others to use it. The rest of people who don't want to have anything to do with it can still stay in standard places with a basic division of women and men. No one is invading anyone's space - everyone is there of their own free will and respects others. Stop wasting time on issues that can be solved immediately, you just have to stand in the middle. Women should not feel gaslighted or intimidated into not speaking up when uncomfortable in their own spaces in fear of retaliation or to be dismissed anyways. Women ARE scared to say that they're uncomfortable. I'd rather stop at a dunkin donuts (no stalls) bathroom, because its better than feeling exposed and feeling like a biggot. (These people look for problems) I was a victim of childhood sa trafficking. I'm in a very blue "progressive" university state in New England and EVERYONE walks on eggshells around this issue. (You wouldn't believe the stories I have about the school system from my own children) People forget transsexual people are so brave because of the sacrifices they make. They build bridges and they don't condone this insanity. Real trans people are concerned about assimilation not forcefully barging in and demanding we subscribe to their ideology and comply to changing how we speak, think, and act. That's not normal. And the fact that it's so political makes it more concerning. In 2015, I was SAed, got pregnant, kept my beautiful boy, but I was pretty private. It was my first child, I only announced big news on Facebook to family and friends. This transwoman, again 2015, that I went to school with viciously attacked me for calling my child a boy. She attacked my father who served in the USAF for 40+ years. (Idj why I'm even respecting this person's pronouns) they said they hope my son becomes a trans Vegas stripper who hates all of us. Meanwhile, they had daily meltdowns about their "bra" and was so proud of kicking ass at female rollar derby. I've seen this person shove a girl off a long board and held both arms up in victory after. The true trans people don't want to challenge you in your own spaces. The ones who gaslight you into thinking you need to be okay with a full grown man In your space aren't trans. Don't discount your instincts. You have them for a reason. And its unfair for someone to ask you to feel weird because someone has an excuse to be a creep. Transsexuals go through so much, it kills me that these creeps are trying to represent something they don't understand and ruin everything for everyone.

Everyone says ending self-id will end the problem, but even if there was a strict medical process to go through before being able to transition who's to say a lot of these guys wouldnt still just lie to get through it? They already share "tips" online about what to say to a Dr/therapist so that they can be approved for hormones etc, and tell each other just to lie to get what they want from the Dr.
@saradolansky18913 күн бұрын
@HEXCD4D04 💯 And the fact that someone is on a cross-sex hormone regimen does not mean that they now pose zero threat (even though some liken MTF HRT to a "chemical castration"). Same holds true for those who've undergone some form of gender affirming surgery: GAS (or GAC) does not magically do away with risk because, in the case of transwomen, natal male advantages - and predilections, as well as biases (eg, misogyny) - are likely to remain, to a great extent.

After high School it was people calling me a fucking fag and trying to hit me with their car while I was riding my bike in the road like you're supposed to, now that I'm out and hormones are finally starting to make visible changes, it's men at work touching me without my permission, you don't get to put your hand on my shoulder and squeeze it just because I'm squatted down on the floor putting cans on the shelf at the grocery store at work while you're reaching over my head to take something off a the shelf above me or creep up behind me to to tell me my hair is pretty while they're breathing down my neck, and okay I was just introduced to you and you offered a handshake why are you still holding my hand 30 seconds later putting another hand on it touching my wrist, fucking doing their doing their business with the stall door open while I'm in the middle of washing my hands or fucking coming out of the stall with their pants undone literally showing me. Thank you so much for being a voice of sanity in the world we're currently living in, Buck. I personally feel that as Sarah passes, and is clearly an actual transexual, not a predator in a dress, she should be allowed into the women's toilets, because, if it wasn't for her job we wouldn't know who she was, and we wouldn't even know she was trans. But we do now, and as you said, women have every right to say no if they're not comfortable with something, and as soon as they do, 'no means no', and we HAVE to listen to them. (Which is as it should be.) It's sad that it's come to this (especially so for those in the community who have never been dismissive or intolerant of women's feelings), but as you also said, the members of the trans community who have gone far too far are the ones responsible for alienating and frightening women, and this is the inevitable pushback. What else did they expect? They brought this on themselves, and sadly, onto every other trans person, deserving or not.

Everything would be fine if we continued to have trans people like Buck and Blaire who took the time to change themselves to blend in. But now we are told we have to accept anyone who identifies themselves as whatever they want. Leaving an open invitation for predators to claim to be women, giving them access to women spaces. Now we have to have these laws to keep women and children safe. I feel bad for trans people who just want to live their life, but what other options do we have. But at the same time I'm all of 120lbs and I feel very unsafe in a bathroom with men that are twice my size that also harbor distain for trans people. A single occupancy bathroom is just the logical solution

I’d rather use either a private toilet or space that’s unisex.
@HEXCD4D043 күн бұрын
The problem is most trans people dont want a 3rd bathroom and will continue to use the single sex bathrooms anyway. But if we're going to actually enforce same sex bathrooms by law I think there should be a 3rd option for those who are genuinely uncomfortable in their own sexes space (although I wonder why we cant just expect men and transwomen to deal and get used to using a bathroom together like we just expect women to deal and get used to males in all of their spaces?). If nothing else it would allow the law to actually be enforced without everyone trying to claim they should be a special exception.
@katherynet14243 күн бұрын
@ for the same reason I could never shower with men in the first place. I was uncomfortable around men and felt discomfort and distressed. The unisex toilet could help the situation, or at least a neutral space. If there's trans people refusing to use other toilets then they aren't helping to preserve women's rights imo. They do not have a right to use the women's toilets, its only given by permission by asking first.

I am relieved for the safe space issue being addressed. But, there is a gray area when someone 'passes' because I don't think it would be fair for transpeople like BW or BA to have to go into their 'assigned' genders' bathroom. So what do we do? Adjust the language in the laws/policies to say, only if you pass, lol? Or, yeah, make unisex restrooms where possible? I love the advocacy and the knowledge presented by you and this channel, Buck! ✌️💛

@juliasugarbaker90323 күн бұрын
If you pass, you pass. If you don’t pass, you don’t pass. No one is suggesting we do a peen check on every person who wants to go to the bathroom. People just want to feel safe and having anyone who is obviously a man in women’s private spaces makes women, especially trauma survivors, uncomfortable and afraid. Honestly anyone who thinks it’s ok to put 50% of the population in danger at worst or afraid at best just because they feel like it should be committed. That’s psychopathic behavior
@HEXCD4D043 күн бұрын
If they truly passed 100% they'd be able to use the opposite sex bathroom without anyone even knowing (creepy but true and what they've been doing already for decades). Otherwise, someone who you feel passes not 100% but still well enough, might not be who someone else feels passes "well enough." There should be a 3rd space for trans people who make an effort but can still be clocked at least some of the time (which is honestly most of them) but the fact is that most of them wont use it unless same sex spaces are enforced by law.

As much as I don't like her takes on many issues, I kind of like Brianna Wu's idea of transwomen needing to be at a certain level of transition before it being legally protected for them to be in there. It can't be a performative free for all, there is definitely a difference between a transwoman who has been on hormones for years vs a straight-up man "identifying as a woman." For women to be able to feel secure in their spaces, if transwoman being there is the more practical answer in certain spaces, there need to be standards, and self-id ain't a standard.
