If a transgender person, who professes to have any form of women’s feelings, of experiencing anything at all that makes them want to be or act as a female to any degree, then why doesn’t such people totally understand that their attempts and their total disregard for even the slightest understanding of women’s rightful expectations to feel safe and secure in areas and places particularly designated for women and girls, is, in itself suspect. It is astonishing that the rights of women and girls and their expected levels of privacy and safety while using spaces such as bathrooms, toilets and changing rooms etc should be challenged and invaded for any reason. Any transgender person who does not understand this and does not totally agree that these spaces/areas designated for women and girls should remain, always as areas exclusive for women and girls, as designed for women/girls in the first place. It is difficult to understand why any transgender person does not understand this right in the first place. Instead, why aren’t transgender persons demanding their own areas for transgender persons privacy and safety, exactly as supplied for men/boys and women/girls personal and private usage? A simple solution without invading already established expectations for anyone.

I doubt the men in the Capitol men's rooms would welcome McBride in their restrooms either. Use some common sense here, people!

Speaker Johnson sidestepped the question about whether he thinks McBride is a woman or a man. Just that "men" cannot use women's restrooms in the Capitol. Nancy Mace has been in congress almost 4 years. So why hasn't she pushed for legislation before now? The answer is obvious, but I'd like to hear someone ask her that.

It`s obvious Trump is going to end medical/surgical transitioning for minors; protect womens` spaces and sports; and end compelled speech over pronouns etc Why would he do anything to affect hrt and surgeries for adults? These seem to have terrible effects on `trans` people; the self-deletion rate is still high post-op; and detransitioning is also high. If someone lividly hated `trans` people they`d welcome these operations and treatments. If we get two Republican terms...there is no doubt `trans` will be a played out concept by the end of those eight years. She uses the men's room because she respects women and doesn't want us to feel uncomfortable or unsafe... but I know without a doubt that if she was standing outside the women's room waiting for me to come out, and saw someone questionable going in, she would 100% go into the restroom to protect me or any other woman in there.
