The14th installment of my 5000 mile solo road trip to the Balkans on board the mighty BMW R1250 GS Adventure.
In this episode, make a big leap in mood and experience the most incredible ride to Sarajevo.
Permission to Torque is a Mental Health movement set up to show others that you "get it" by displaying a discrete symbol for others to take comfort in. Its not about sitting around in a circle feeling sorry for yourself, its about shared experience and getting out there to find out what makes us happy - this is the aim of my trip and why I am sharing it on KZbin, the good days and the inevitable bad ones too.
I hope you enjoy the journey with me and find it at least vaguely useful! :)

Absolutely superb.. Our time in Bosnia was truly unforgettable! What an extraordinary country it is. Thanks to our exceptional tour guide Vekas from Bosnian Tours, our experience was exceptionally memorable. He tailored the tour to our preferences, and his commitment ensured that we made the most of our visit and the country. It's not often that you come across guides in Bosnia who are so dedicated. We managed to visit around 15 different locations in such a short span of time. If you're considering your next vacation, I strongly urge you to think about exploring Bosnia.

I was in Bosnia last July and I fell in love with that country immediately. I visited in Sarajevo, Blagaj Tekija, Mostar, Sarajevo and Kozarac. Sadly you didn't have more time to enjoy Sarajevo. This July I am planning to visit in Neum, Jajce, Visoko and again in Sarajevo after my quick visit in Izmit, Turkey. It's still about 20 years to my retirement so things can still change but at the moment Bosnia somewhere near or in Sarajevo will be where I will live. Volim Bosnia I Sarajevo 🇫🇮💖🇧🇦

Man I can't explain how happy it makes me to hear someone say "I believed Bosnia is just poverty, crime, hatred, violence etc". I live in Bosnia and it happens quite often that tourists say how it's so lovely and they just knew that it would be amazing but get surprised when they find out we have basic human rights and facilities for normal lifestyle. Hate that hypocritical bullshit. Loved the video fam, keep it up

As someone wjo lives in Sarajevo and Travels all over Bosnia,i must say that even this day I still get amazed as I drive beside the River Neretva...I remember me and my buddies when we all turned 18 and started driving,we all worked one entire week, and then at the ned we would get in a car and drive Down to Mostar or if we really had Money Neum and see the sea...It was our favourite road to drive on,no police, beautiful and calm and not all that far away...It was just perfect for a Adeventure for some 18 year old boys who just wanted some fun.

When I was in Mostar a local girl asked me what my first thought was when I think of Bosnia, I said Edin Dzeko (footballer) and the smile on her face was amazing, she said it was the first time she heard an answer that wasnt war related. I will never forget that smile.

Chris, I’ve been watching you since 2016, all of the London commutes, the gsxr green laning, the blood cock story, the pedestrian calling you a prick, all of them. Just bought another bike after a 5 year break and I’m loving this tour you’ve documented. I met you at Donington last year and I’m glad to see you still pressing on. I’m not too far from you, in Bournemouth, so I hope to see you out and about on the bike. Not poole quay because I know you don’t like crowds! (I was in that video)

Going and doing a trip like this on your own despite not feeling 100% is amazing. I’m not sure I could do it. Keep at it and keep making these videos, keep raising awareness for mens mental health please. Absolute hero. ❤

Gutted you didn't spend a bit more time in Sarajevo, fantastic city. I went other direction to you back in July 21 (I had a marathon in Croatia, so flew to Zagreb, then drove rental car to Ljubljana in Slovenia, down to Plitvice in Croatia again which is where marathon was, over to Sarajevo, a day to Srebenica, before driving down to Mostar, Podgorica in Montenegro, Tirana in Albania, then back up and home via Dubrovnik: Sarajevo is one of my favourite cities visited - loved it. Coincidentally, I had ran Belgrade Marathon a month previous, and took rental car down to Skopje in N. Macedonia, before spending a few days in Kosovo....... now THAT was a destination (Mitrovice was entertaining!). Only downside was doing it all in a rental car instead of a bike, but I was over to run, so will have to leave the bike tour for another year, as the roads WERE amazing!
