I would love to see more of the history. When I was a kid traveling the woods and mountains of Western Virginia with my dad, he would show me all kinds of interesting things. One I really remember seeing is how loggers cut a hollow log and used it for culvert pipe under the logging roads. At the time, some were still visible and had not deteriorated yet.

I popped my 550xp, called the repair man, and he said RIP 550...BUT Husqvarna has a 20% off sale, ends today. I looked at the 550's, but that 572 was so nice. He said he'd throw in the 28" light bar, dealer cost. It's a nice saw! I put a stihl 32 on it last week. Wow!

Love your bits and pieces over the years about the history of logging. One story not related was the one during your trip across Canada with Morgan, the beautiful story of Terry Fox I watched several videos on this amazing man’s story.

Yep, we still find old signs of logging, tie hacks, trappers, etc. up here all the time. Have found glass insulators from phone lines 100 years gone, old tie hack cabins who use to run shine to other tie hacks and trappers, old stumps from back in the '40's or so. Heck, this spring I found an old tie hack stump from over 100 years ago!
